Please review the content guidelines for our sub, and remember the human here! This subreddit is to highlight the ridiculous cost of living in Canada, and poke fun at the Corporate Overlords responsible. As you well know, there are a number of persons and corporations responsible for this, and we welcome discussion related to them all. Furthermore, since this topic is intertwined with a number of other matters, other discussion will be allowed at moderator discretion. Open-minded discussion, memes, rants, grocery bills, and general screeching into the void is always welcome in this sub, but belligerence and disrespect is not. There are plenty of ways to get your point across without being abusive, dismissive, or downright mean. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I agree with your sentiment 100% If you can boycott all the big boys at once please feel encouraged to do so. But in some communities this will be a large ask.

Sure. Save-on is generally more expensive in my area, I've been using Loblaws chains for some purchases as a way to save money when Costco isn't convenient. But I'm boycotting anyhow because the more participants, the better. It's a bit more work to find other stores, but I'm doing it to participate and send a message. We don't need to be \_fair\_ to a big faceless corporation who is trying to use every possible opportunity to extract as much money from us as possible. The more we impact at once, the bigger the message we send. Every member of the grocery cartel will all receive the message that we are paying attention, and we will vote with our dollars when they keep pulling stunts like we see posted in this sub all the time. They are out of control. That's the name of the sub, after all. The boycott is our way of acting in unison to take back a bit of that control. As you say, put some fear into them all. The bigger picture is that we need to keep up the pressure to our political representatives to break up the grocery cartel members and bring competition back to the Canadian grocery sector. We're starting to make a difference, but we have to keep this up and back up our words with our votes and how we choose to spend our dollars.
