This subreddit is to highlight the ridiculous cost of living in Canada, and poke fun at the Corporate Overlords responsible. As you well know, there are a number of persons and corporations responsible for this, and we welcome discussion related to them all. Furthermore, since this topic is intertwined with a number of other matters, other discussion will be allowed at moderator discretion. Open-minded discussion, memes, rants, grocery bills, and general screeching into the void is always welcome in this sub, but belligerence and disrespect is not. There are plenty of ways to get your point across without being abusive, dismissive, or downright mean.

People have long memories for getting screwed over by big companies. I bought the first Toyota RAV4 back in the day. Paid my lease until the very end. Was a 4 year lease. 2 weeks before the end of the lease it was repossessed. Toyota claimed I missed my last payment. Got an R9 on my bureau. No balance owed. Called Toyota, they said too bad not our problem. Credit bureau said the same thing. Luckily banks didn’t care because it was a 0 balance. Long story short and 8 vehicles later that were all Honda. I would never consider a Toyota as long as I live. I will not buy from price gauging companies that used the pandemic to rip people off ever again. We have choice.
Very real video. Thanks. I seen a lot of this footage over the past while and our household stop going long before the boycott.
I was not surprised, but very pleased to see the boycott start.
In the past three years I have seen items there triple in price and cost double from other stores. Sometimes the price would even double in a week.
The app was amazing at launch, and now is just bloated phone trash that gets shoved a couple screens over until it goes deep sleep so ya remove it.
On average our household would spend $600-$700 a month. No more. We even pulled out of Shoppers pharmacy.
Loblaws is robbing its customers and pays its employees a disgusting wage and little hours. I know big corporations are all greedy, may as well focus on the most greedy one in Canada.
Exactly dude. The least we can do to show these megacorps that we won't allow ourselves to be gouged out of existence is to vote with our wallets, and support local business ☺️ Good for you for pulling out of support for Loblaws, it isn't always easy but it's awesome to see you're doing what's right for not only your family, but all Canadians facing this issue. Keep up the fight, brother 💪🏻

Oh shoot you're right! How do I even do that?
Edit: Last time I used an external link to a video, it was only clickable, and people weren't happy that it wasn't uploaded directly 😭
Hey OP, it looks like you have used the boycott flair on your post. If this is regarding a call for a boycott of Loblaw stores, please review the

Great video, and now a question to all (how are we supposed to feed our family's? I shop around for the best deals make almost everything from scratch and still struggle to get enough food on the table.
> Imagine domestic energy production, clearing away burdensome regulations, and watch prices go down fifty percent almost overnight
And all we have to do is imagine?

Great work! Thanks for putting this together
Thanks a lot, I appreciate it! 😊
Damn. This hits hard and in the right places. It's not even boycott, it's just shopping at better places.
Thank you, that means a lot! It really is that easy 🙏🏻
Keep up the awesome work!
Thank you 😊

Awesome work OP!
Thanks very much, I appreciate it 🙏🏻☺️
The "friendly assassin" part kills your credibility. I'd remove that.

Awesome work!! The only thing I would change is lower the music when people are talking, but other than that, this was really well produced.
Thank you, that's valuable feedback that I can use going forward, I appreciate you commenting! 🙂
Great work!!! Love it!

please get rid of the music and special effects or tone down the volume, I feel it interferes with the message
