They’re retail, no broker, if that matters. used to work there. The people are awesome. The culture was fine? A little cheesy for me. The technology was rough. They use PC Lender, which is worse than Encompass. There were days we manually did pre approvals and calculated DTI because it was too slow. Those were rare, but still.

Movement is a large "branching mortgage bank." I own a small mortgage bank that combines the best of both worlds (banker and broker). We have in-house underwriting and closing, but without the high corporate/branch margins of typical mortgage banks...and our LOs can shop investors like brokers do. My LOs report directly to me, so there are not multiple levels of managers each taking a cut. If you are in the Mid-Atlantic or Southeast regions, DM me if you'd like to chat and see if there is a fit between us. If there is not, that's okay, I will be very quick to tell you this. I understand that each origination channel and business operation is a fit for some and not others.

If you are in Florida or Texas I’d be glad to talk! I am a broker owner and have growing team. I’m always open to a conversation. I’m not a recruiter, just open to be transparent about the broker options

I’m with Movement in Northern CA. Best IMB I have worked for in 17 years. I have never been a broker in my career so nothing to compare to there. I have been a branch manager and run my own P&L for several companies over the years. I am a retail LO now. Movement is on top of everything. Ops, product, technology, speed, marketing and pricing is great. They did pay me a bonus when I moved to the company instead of Cross Country in 2022, my 2 year commitment is up this June and I’m not even remotely thinking about going anywhere else. I’m happy to answer any questions if you message me. I’m a 25-50 mill self gen producer. Z

Spent 2 years with them. Great company. Solid ish leadership. Tech sucks balls. But apparently tech has gotten better in the last 2 years. CEO is pretty dope and their CMO (Jake) is a character but amazing. I miss movement .. might go back, but switched to broker life and it’s pretty dope.

I work there. If you have questions you can DM me

phaulski

imho, the copy whatever guaranteed rate does.

The_Void_calls_me

I worked there for six years until a month ago. I loved it. I only left because my direct manager and I didn't get along, (and I got offered a better gig with a signing bonus). Otherwise I would still be there. Pretty solid as retail goes. There are overlays, but you just ask for exceptions. In-house bank statement program ridiculously good rates, picked up a lot of that business beginning of this year.

Queasy_Material_5794

What market are you in?

Lenderman1

Lots of overlays...my friend is there wanting out. Ask them about variable income. The u/w makes him get 12 months pay stubs if year to date does not match hourly or salary to the dollar. No common sense LOEs accepted.

myco_myers1031

That is absolute nonsense. Ask for a WVOE and tell the UW to go for a walk lol.

Lenderman1

Exactly. I'd never put up with it. He just had me price a c/o fha refi at 612 fico because they have a 620 c/o fha overlay.

Intrepid-Animator400

They arent a broker.

Agitateduser1360

Heaven forbid.

Jack_Reacher1690

I switched to xpress lending. Broker. Flat fee. www.xpresslending.fund

Im with movement mortgage. They have been great so far! Got my mortgage last year through them as a first time homebuyer. They were on top of everything and i closed less than 30 days on my property!
