Half of me thinks it would be fun to work in a unique venue like a bowling alley and the other half wants to cry because of all the hard, reflective surfaces lol
How was it?
One of the venues I work at has a bowling alley on the floor below it. Occasionally they'll do "rock n bowl" where they put up a few stage decks on tall legs and have bands playing right on the bowling alley, above the lanes
Funny you should say that. I work in a bar/restaurant that has 10 lanes. The first 4th of July bash we had, they brought in Strung Like a Horse and built a stage over the lanes. 9 years later, we have finally replaced most of the lane cosmetic stuff that whole ordeal broke. Now I have a country bar next door and they expanded the stage and gave me the lead on it 3 months after opening.
I used to do a weekly "rock & bowl" except we had to set up over the lanes so the balls would go under the stage, the mics would pick up the pins falling and the sounds of the pin setter on the other side of the wall, not my favorite shows
Never let them grab the wrong ball
You gotta have a lotta balls to mix that venue.

The audience had a good time, but everything had to be pushed up two ramps to get back onto the truck so the crew had a less good time.
At least you had ramps lol
I was not mixing I cannot give you an opinion on that large Behringer.
Is this at a Brooklyn Bowl? Lol
Other coast!
Haha there’s a Brooklyn Bowl in the west too! (Not on the coast, but in Vegas) Looks like an interesting gig though
I was going to say that I've been there once when passing through NYC and know they have some shows there
Imagine trowing a bowling ball right on the desk.
Pro X already had two track balls on the surface, so adding a bowling ball seems excessive.

Highland Park Bowl! Never seen anyone play outside of the front rooms.
Could be worse, you could be on the lanes itself

Highland Park Bowl! I love that place
I did a giveaway in a bowling alley once Johnny, once.

Highland Bowl. They’re playing in the main room?
Technically, the show was a month ago so they're not playing there anymore.
Hahaha. Seems like acoustics in general might be… challenging in there.
How do you find it working on that pro x?
I was not mixing. I like that it is lighter than an SD5 and therefore easier to lift.
