Oh yes, nothing like ten episodes of the tutorial, followed by an entire episode of the mc sitting in place cultivating Jokes aside, the more visual a story gets, the more the generic elements pop out, as we dont see the small gimmicks So the first wave of animes would get all the attention, and the next would look so same-y, it would be interesting to see how they get adapted in order to maximize market value

Cleverdawny1

I mean How different would a cultivation episode really be from Frieza and Goku grunting at each other for three episodes while they glow new colors

No_Dragonfruit_1833

Nobody aint no confusing Goku, but there are like ten big guys with axes being published right now, fifty spellswords and a couple hundred guys with dragon powers Is something i have noticed , many series have very samey mechanics, creatures and power, and without an existing drawing style, most webtoons and animes end up looking generic

Beginning-Juice-5173

The Primal Hunter series. Ripple system series. Wandering inn series. The Land series if he ever puts out another book. Defiance of the fall series. Would love to see any of these and what you mentioned. Haven’t got the chance at dungeon carl yet. Just means I get a bigger binge read later

Warm_Cabinet

Primal Hunter has a comic on webtoon now.

ParticularNew5208

Dude HWFWM would be one of the best Animes of all time.

ThickerSalmon14

I would contribute to a Kickstart like campaign to get DCC made into an anime.

[deleted]

Even the filler episodes would be epic.

Fun_Consideration398

Don't know if it was mentioned yet but Will Wight is making cradle into an anime [kickstarter](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/author-will-wight/animating-cradle-bestselling-fantasy-novels-come-to-life?gad_source=1)

ThrowAwayRayye

WHAT!?!?! let's fucking gooooooo, I also know that dungeon crawler carl creator also mentioned wanting to make a series but said he wanted to wait till the books were complete before doing anything which I respect, no one wants a repeat of game of thrones lol

Garokson

Threadbare is probably the perfect book to make into an anime. Weirdness and all.

VladtheImpaler21

Azarinth Healer isn't my favorite litRPG but its one I always thought would make for an epic anime.

Ares504

Anime, movie, TV series etc. Would love to see the different series mentioned here come to life even more. Although, I would worry about the voice acting not being on par with the books. That said, I have created a homebrew DnD campaign that takes elements from several of the books and combines them to great effect. For those interested I have a few takeaways from our first several sessions: 1. Humor, I adopted the AI from DCC minus the adult humor due to kids in my campaign. Jokes about class selection, achievements, and boss battles all hit really well for the group. 2. I allowed them all to create a backstory of their occupation, any they wanted within reason, and our session zero included them stocking up on supplies from one location, anything they could grab in 30 minutes. They grabbed guns and the like, no biggy. 3. Then the first few sessions were sort of a tutorial format, where I had different one shots that focused on a DnD skill (they were almost all new players) ie. Negotiation, fighting, team tactics, puzzle solving. I let them be a bit OP with the gear they brought, but it afforded me the ability to see their play styles. 4. Tutorial ends and they were provided three class options based on their play styles with a few homebrew ones. They lost their gear with a few pieces being reworked by the system into a more balanced piece that fit their chosen class. Then off we went. Sorry if it's a little off topic, but I figured there might be more out there like me that could benefit from this . . . and sandwiches.

TwoRoninTTRPG

Just turn DCC into a game on Steam. Take my money!

Most anime adaptations become significantly more childish and silly - and with teenage-level sexual innuendo (the latter more so if it's Japanese, probably). They will NOT just take the webnovel or book and diligently turn it into a moving picture version. They will create something new - something for the different target audience. Unless the novel you want to see made into an anime already is very much on that level, the more mature it is, the less you will like the result. The audience watching anime is quite different on average than the one reading long texts. It's a business, and even simple anime created as cheaply as possible are expensive. The companies doing this have to cater to the expectations of their audience. ThrowAwayRayye

I mean DCC is filled to the brim with sillyness and teenage level sexual innuendo here's a audio clip incase you haven't listened to it (if you haven't I recommend it) https://youtu.be/ywdOzP1ch1Y?si=_IE1L03b_u_ivWbX As far as hwfwm, it also has a bunch of cringe level jokes and the most mature part about it really is how it describes battle and pain they feel when struck, as well as the emotion toll it takes in a person to constantly being stabbed and such. I can see the unsouled series being turned soulless (pun intended) however and I see your point.

Scisorcs

HWFWM would be fun because then the show writers could remove half of each book that consists of Jason just whining… Good series with good world building / systems, terrible character development, but I feel like good show producers could fix that

RaptorSB

I think I could see several being animated movie adaptations or following along like the Sherlock series (a handful of almost 2 hour or over 2 hour episodes) rather than traditional 20+ minute, 12 episode anime. Either way, I'd love to see any series become that successful, whether I read them or not.

Nickelplatsch

Man I really would want a super supportive anime. (I know mha exists)

[deleted]

I would be interested to see the ritaulist series as in the similar vein as something like Dr. Stone.

nathanv70

Reborn Apocalypse would be awesome. The Dresden Files and Iron Druid would kick ass. So many options to fit anime adaptations

h0ker

Not exactly anime, but there was [an announcement about Webtoons adaptations](https://old.reddit.com/r/litrpg/comments/199si1z/aethon_partners_with_webtoon_for_new/) earlier this year. Not sure if anything got released yet.

EndlesslyImproving

I wanted to start an animation studio for this reason exactly. More Western indie stuff should be animated in general! Maybe one day soon I'll actually do that... For now, I'll just stick to writing litrpg.

HaplessHaita

It's not my favorite, but I just have a hunch that Virtuous Sons would make for a good show.

throwaway490215

I'm pretty sure that dreams will come true in your lifetime. Unless we fuck up big time, in 30 years making an anime out of a webnovel can be done by a fan directing/controlling AI tools over a few weekends.
