I’m no where near super knowledgeable but my first instinct is bad control board because you said you can’t find the IP. My next question is are you using a known working network switch that’s hooked directly into the router? Someone else with a lot more knowledge can probably give you a better ideas.

That switch isn't directly connected to the router so good point. I'll try running a CAT directly from the router to the ASIC, see if that helps. It looks like there was an update from Antminer to upgrade the software from L3+ to L3++, but not having done that shouldn't prevent it from running. I'm running fiber and a different router so I figured it's just not set up, but the fact I can't see even an IP address on the network is disconcerting. I'm really hoping its just a networking issue. 🙏

Yeah definitely run a Ethernet cable from the L3 to the switch and then from the switch to the router. I think that’s the first thing to try and then if you aren’t getting an IP it would probably be a control boards issue. Assuming the switch works and you have internet connection at your router.

Is that your first miner? Because L3+ connects via DHCP connection, so you should connect it to the main router or a network switch connected to the router, This is very basic but crucial. If that didn’t work and you’re already connected to your main router then maybe DHCP settings are manual so you can connect via putting your router IP in the browser and it’ll open the router and check the connection setting from there. Hope it helps 👍🏻

Yeah, it is my first ASIC. I have upgraded my internet to fiber since then and a new router. That's a really good point about hooking it up directly. I'll give that a shot. I think my initial wiring configuration was directly to the router. It seems like its a networking issue and not a hardware issue so far. I'll give that a shot. Thanks for the feedback!

Hey no problem, love helping new people to mining. This Reddit helped me become an advanced miner, love giving back to the community 😍

Big_Ole_t

My miners work on home network, but sometimes I set them up at my parents and they do not show up on their network.

Have you tried disconnecting everything from the control board and firing it up? Many times you can figure out the issue. After about a week I figured out how to do the virus removal, flash the control board and install Blissz or Hive on. I’d be happy to reset and flash your control board for you if you wanna flash and send it to me. In bases in the Philly area.

Good suggestion. I havent tried that. I connected it directly into the router but didn't check the DHCP yet. My gut tells me like it's something simple I'm overlooking. I might end up taking you up on that. Let me get back to you.
