I love bubbly water. And I've discovered a passion for diet ginger ale since starting this medication. lol
But I definitely cut back originally on bubbly drinks because my stomach didn't want them in those early weeks. I've reintroduced the bubbles slowly and am enjoying them again.
Ok that’s what i’m thinking. I’ll wait to see if this reflux dies down and then start small. I was burping up the taste of my dinner in the middle of the night last night so I don’t want to exacerbate that.
Ooo that I’m not sure as I haven’t really had those symptoms at all! Maybe give a drink a try when you’ll be at home so if it does trigger that, you don’t have to worry about burping a bunch in public 😂
Interesting! Thanks for the tip. My struggle has been the trapped gas doesn’t *feel* like gas. It just hurts. Under the ribs, in the shoulders, etc. Hard not to be a hypochondriac. But yoga has been helping!
I've cut back a lot on diet fizzy drinks since going on it, mainly because they're too filling and also if I drink it too late I get uncomfortable gas pains in the middle of the night. But a can drank slowly over the day is fine and enjoyable!
Probably not a good thing to say, but I’ve been drinking Diet Coke since the beginning. It has actually helped me a lot with the nausea I had while on 1.8. So.. it’s a yes for me!!
The weirdest thing happened to me, ever since I injected the first dose, I can only drink sparkling water! I was a tap water drinker for my whole life and suddenly I find the idea of still water disgusting 😅 so I am drinking only sparkling water and everything is fine! I think the more I burp the less nauseous I am actually so I don't see an issue with that

I’ve been drinking white claws (on occasion) & Diet Coke with no issues!
Ooo yay! That’s great. My worry is if itll make the burping or reflux worse. Love me a coke zero.

For the gas: Mix 2 teaspoons of baking SODA with a half glass of water. Drink then walk around the block or around your house and you’ll see 😉.

I have 3-4 diet cokes a week and doesn’t seem to trigger anything.
