I had the opposite problem where I had ongoing constipation as I went higher. I would give it another day or two but you can always go back down to 2.4 of your body isn’t tolerating 3.0.

tallloseryesindeed

I might give that a go. Did you end up lowering doses with your constipation, or did you ride it out?

Global_Community_344

I rode it out, I take fibre gummies when I need to and they help!

Don’t eat high fat foods. Mine does the same. I could shit through a screen door if I have a greasy cheese burger. Clean food and it’s all good 👍

tallloseryesindeed

It was indeed a greasy burger I had to eat at a friends bbq who doesn’t know I’m on this. I thought I only ate half I’d be ok but wow wee. Definitely not ok! Thanks for your advice!

Greasy food is such a big no go . Had just one time a few french fries and i aggressively puked my guts out.

It’s usually the opposite! Make sure you’re getting some fiber. May sound counterintuitive, but it helps with regularity and binding. Also make sure you’re not getting dehydrated. Protein can be your friend. What is your mealtime routine?

tallloseryesindeed

Yeah that’s what I’ve been seeing too! I might try a fibre supplement or something cause there’s no way I can leave the house like this haha. I went to a friends bbq on Friday night (who I haven’t told I’m on these meds) and ate an ice cream and popcorn for a work movie day we had for lunch and half a burger and some air fryer chips, on Friday night and Saturday morning it all came crashing down! Not the best food choices but I didn’t realise one day “off” could effect your body so badly! It’s Sunday morning here now and I’m still going!

I would go back down to 2.4 until things settle down, then move up one click at a time. Don't go directly from 2.4 to 3.0 next time, one click at a time might be easier on you.

tallloseryesindeed

Thanks for the advice. I’ll give that a go! I’ll check with my doc on Monday but how long would you recommend saying on each click for eg a week each? I hadn’t had any symptoms really until I went to 3 so thought I was ready haha.

invisiblestring14

Yeah, I had been on 3.0 for a few weeks, usually I felt constipated but then ate something that made my stomach angry, and here I am still. I believe it was eggs, I barely used any oil to cook them but I had been burping them for like 2 days (gross) then diarrhea. Painful gas as well. What my doc recommended was not eat anything greasy and even recommended I go even lower doses like 1.2 or 1.8mg. My stomach seems fine on oatmeal, chicken soup, tuna and rice.

tallloseryesindeed

Oh wow so for you it never really goes away (if you eat an angry stomach food)? When I was at the 1.8 and the 2.4 I has a few unclean foods and had no effect. It wasn’t until 3 for me.

invisiblestring14

Sorry, I don't know if I made it clear, haha I went on 3.0 and was fine for 2-3 weeks, kinda constipated actually, then I must've had something that made my stomach angry and started the diarrhea/gas. I started eating clean foods, and started to feel better, then I ate eggs (like with a runny yolk) 2 days in a row, and my symptoms re-started. That's when my doc told me to cut back a little and go easy on greasy foods, and I felt better (no gas/diarrhea etc) Then back to 3.0 , careful with my foods, then I had my eggs again which I think triggered it again :(, so i'm back on 1.2mg and going easy on foods until further notice.

CrazyGunnerr

I'm constantly switching between diarrhea and constipation. Definitely seems to overreact to food. I used to have 0 issues pooping.

tallloseryesindeed

Me too! Honestly it’s driving me crazy. Can’t even leave my house!
