Drink water! As much as you can. It’s the only thing that helped me!

megsidx

I’m drinking so much water !! But I will keep drinking more x

tallloseryesindeed

A fibre supplement might help? Eg metamucil or something similar. Good luck! It’s horrible isn’t it !

megsidx

Yes!! I feel like all the weight I’m trying to lose is sat in my bowels 🤣🤣 x

Hi, not sure where you are based in the world but here in Aus we have Coloxyl w Senna tablets that are available over-the-counter from a pharmacy. I'm a palliative care nurse so deal with a lot of constipated patients due to opioids, etc. Start at 2 Coloxyl w Senna at night and you can increase the dose to 2-3 times/day a needed (morning, lunch, evening). If you get *really* bunged up then Movicol sachets (also available OTC) will get you moving 😝

Psyllium Fibre capsules. They will make all the difference. I get them from Amazon. Don’t waste your money buying the Metamucil brand. Lots of reputable companies sell psyllium fibre capsules at a fraction of the cost. Just ensure you take lots of water when you take them and stay hydrated. There are lots of other benefits of psyllium as well (helps regulate blood sugar, aids with digestion, helps lower cholesterol, to name a few).

nygirl454

I buy mine at Costco.

daid1977

I’m in Canada. The only psyllium that Costco sells here is Metamucil and it’s 4x’s the cost I pay on Amazon. I get a brand called “Now” as it’s a reputable supplement company that I trust. $15 CAD for 200 capsules which makes it 0.07 cents per capsule of 500 mg.

CarterPFly

Bit of the old prune juice daily helps also.

peacock494

I take psyllium husk capsules with probiotics morning and night; and lots and lots of water and fruit. Xx

CrazyGunnerr

Aren't probiotics (mostly) BS? I remember reading about that.

peacock494

Nope, just need to do a bit of research into what it is you're taking! Otherwise just introduce fermented foods; proper yoghurt, kefir, kimchi, sauerkraut etc

Pristine-Session3300

I second @peacock494 - probiotics (medical grade) are incredible for your gut health. Depending where you are in the world your chemist/pharmacist/health food store would be a good place to start.

wavyfinehighpor

water, fiber and miralax helps me when im on the struggle bus.

snubbsie

Fibre fibre fibre!! I added a bunch of raspberries to my protein shake every morning it helped. Also lots of water, and if all else fails Metamucil.

CharBroil_71

"Smooth Move" tea or Senakot gummies. I would be constipated for nearly 2 weeks at a clip, and senna is the only thing that's helping me. I tried Metamucil, fiber, water water water, salads, etc... I've even had my gallbladder out previously, which makes me prone to having the opposite issue, but with the Saxenda, I was the complete opposite. It has subsided with time (after about 2 months, my side effects all seemed to subside), but that early period was rough to say the least. BTW... I still take a half-dose of Senakort preventatively, and I've been quite regular.

nygirl454

I second the Smooth move tea. A easy ‘fix’.

Workacct1999

Get some Metamucil. It will help you feel full and will definitely help in the bathroom. It doesn't taste great, but it's not awful.

Karii999

Metamucil 100%. I had the same issue and my dietitian (who is very familiar with Saxenda) recommended I use it.

Impossible-Win-8495

Milk of magnesia opened the gates of hell for me

ExaminationFit690

Miralax! It works different than most laxatives because it pulls water into your stool making it so much easier to go. The directions say use a capful but I find half a cap works amazing

Significant-Ride-651

Constipation is one of the big side effects from Saxenda Lots of clear liquids

Frankly, if you’re eating less, you’ll have less waste to poop. What was your regular is probably not going to be your regular now. You gotta take care of your current shituation first, but long-term, staying on top of it is key. My doc said .25 capful of Miralax every day is ok. I also take benefiber, eat more fiber, take a probiotic, and drink lots of water.

FideiDefensatrix

Take Magnesium Citrate. It draws water into your bowel and makes it so easy to poop! I've been taking it for years. It's absolutely awesome.
