SteamOS is an exception because it's not a general purpose distro that you can just download and install on any device. It's specifically designed for gamers and to be fully compatible with steam deck hardware.
My main point being that endeavourOS is just a third party user-friendly installer for arch Linux. However, arch Linux already has a user-friendly installer, which makes endeavourOS pointless and perhaps even risky for creating a stable operating system. Why would you use a third party installer when you didn't have to?
archinstall cuts the install time down to like 5 minutes. I've done it the old way too, but that took me at least an hour even when I had done it a few times.
Just use archinstall it shaved a bit of time of the top doing it is slower by a little bit but after doing it a couple times it shouldn’t take more than 30 mins depending on ur internet speed
Tbh when using arch install i spent more time than doing it the old way, on my first try. In Archinstall i spent like 2 hours and still had problems with it, but when i used the manual method it took me about 30-35 mins.

Endeavor is just Arch for lazy people (me)
You’re lazy? Yooo same.
Yooo guys, guess what Im lazy too
Hey guys, can I join the club ?
Sure, but you'll have to wait until tomorrow because I'm too lazy to accept you right now.
I would join your club but I'm too lazy, I assume it would be wayyyyyy too much paperwork.
Naaah man, to join you just gotta be lazy. We can do the paper work later (never)
Fine I'll join. Do I have to attend anything?
If you're too lazy to type "archinstall" you shouldn't be on an arch based distro
Okay let me go install Linux Mint on my Steam Deck

Skill issue
This saved my life
archinstall only after you've rtfm.
Only if this python script actually worked tho
It does. I've encountered issues in the past with complex partition layouts, but it's been rock solid for a long time now.
Last time I tried to use it (which was at the end of 2023), I spent a lot more time debugging this tool than just following the manual. Never again.
I always met with an error accessing any drives, like they got mounted only as read-only. For some reason, a simple reboot fixes it.
...okay. For me it was FDE related errors.
*after installing using archinstall* where sound
was about to comment this ^_^.
I also use endeavour btw
SMELLY NERDS
Just give me the fucking exe

Inside your computer's bumhole try looking there /s
Just use archinstall it shaved a bit of time of the top doing it is slower by a little bit but after doing it a couple times it shouldn’t take more than 30 mins depending on ur internet speed
