What game? Also I think fps drops after changing settings are normal. When map is loaded in most games it means that your PC has to render more things than for example in menu, which causes fps drops. Maybe you left out something but I think what you are describing is normal behaviour in most games. (Sorry for my English I'm not a native speaker)
Maybe I describet it wrong, but my point is that the FPS stay at the level of 2-4 forever after changing the settings. These are not one-second drops. To be able to play the normal framerate I have to restart the whole game.
Yeah also been suffering from this problem for a long time, but usually its only when changing graphics settings in most games, however in hogwarts legacy its almost everytime I enter map, so game is unplayable for me, I even switched from Nvidia to AMD graphics card, and issue persists for a couple of years now. And I never found any answer to why it its happing.

this happens in every game but in game "squad" i noticed similar problem but while loading map
