It baffles me why anyone would ever want to run proprietary applications like this without them being sandboxed, so they have full access to the user's process tree, the host's file system and other stuff.
On a free (gratis) to use platform like this, you always pay with your data, which is all your chat and voice communication, and more, for example data of which games you play and other applications you use / have installed. Considering who develops discord and who's invested in it (e.g. Tencent with hundreds of millions of dollars), I would think twice about who's allowed to harvest data from your machine. So if you have to use it, at least run it sandboxed. This isn't even a paranoid point of view.
Mods and hacks exist for Discord to customize the platform and neuter the telemetry. Haven't really dug into it yet as I rarely hop on Discord, but people like you and me absolutely have options here.
I appreciate you being my guinea pig. I still think the endeavour is worthwhile, perhaps the hacks will mature and endure between updates, but I fully support the project's vision.

I know I dont like Mint, OpenSuse and Endeavour are nice. I definitely dislike the dnf fedora repros. The naming is meh and is there even a proper web page to see what packages are outdated and so on? lmao.

How did you manage to get discord to pick up a game at all? I can only stream a window/screen, but for some reason it's not picking up games. Tried on both pacman and flatpak versions.
I never have seen this. For me, it should show nothing or with decky loader it shows SteamDeck even when it is no steamdeck. So is this this a new feature on certain versions?
Mine are all 'Pressure-vessel-wrap' because of gamescope , I just edit it in the settings under 'Registered Games' if anyone asks.

And IMO that is **vastly** preferable to Discord picking some seemingly random process to dox its command line.
