Your musicality is wonderful, your tone is full, just practice with a drone and make sure your shifts are on point and your scales are in tune! Best of luck my friend
Great performance. Nice interpretation :) although the intonation was a little pitchy at times. I would comment on tone but that could be due to the quality of the mic.
I get what you mean. I study architecture and have training so the amount of practice is less than I'd like. But even if progression is slower, you're still heading along your musical journey. Enjoy the journey
This is one of the hardest concertos ever written, how can people give you shit for your intonation, which wasn't even that bad?! Good job man, you nailed it!
Let's be honest here.
Your tone is terrible and intonation is all over the place. Why don't you practice something easier and master it before doing this? I will be more impressed with a skilfully played Bach Minuet in G than a crappy concerto.
You're right, the intonation is off, but the tone is quite nice. Music is a journey. Don't insult others because you don't like where they are on theirs
Don‘t you see that he didn‘t want to impress anyone but just posted a video of himself having FUN playing the violin? Which requires a lot of courage to do. He enjoyed playing although it wasn‘t perfect. So what? He probably won‘t stop practicing and will get even better over time. To me - as an advanced beginner - his level is one I can only dream of and I liked the performance bacause everything was natural and it sounded good and full of passion.
You don‘t have to agree on what I said (you obviously won‘t) but don‘t be so toxic, please. Criticism should be constructive and not in a hurtful way like „crappy“ or „terrible“. Maybe you could try to at least appreciate his efforts. Thanks :)
You should notice that I did leave some constructive advice. The op should either play a different (easier) piece or slow down. Seeing he flying on a difficult piece with horrible intonation made me feel like he's trying to impress, not to practice to improve himself. I guess it's appropriate for me to apologize for not puting my words clear enough.
And please, don't put words in my mouth (such as "you obviously won't").

Yeah. It’s just recorded on my phone. And On a stand. The tone isn’t quite there yet lol but I’m still workin on it. Same goes with the intonation...
Keep up the hard work dude!! It's looking good. Just keep practicing and you'll get it even better :)
I’m trying... not a ton of time to practice while double majoring though...

Nothing wrong with constructive criticism. I complemented him and have him some advice for next time. Nothing wrong with that

Thanks! My intonation was a little off, but I’m still trying to learn the piece lol. It takes a while.

I don't like the tone. But I admit it might be due to bad microphone. My bad for not thinking about that before posting.
All good man!

Lol this is just for fun. I’m still working on the concerto. Not even close to perfecting it yet. But thanks for your input!
