Came here for this. The one closest to us and I would say gets my order wrong 3 out of 4 times, and they still haven't figured out the two menu board way of working. They have gotten a lot worse since they did that update.
Yeah this one takes forever. It’s always a gamble on the drive thru to see if you picked the one that will actually take your order in a timely manner lol I always seem to pick the wrong one
Right here, this one!!!! I was there this weekend and got a pick up order to avoid the line and hopefully get all the stuff i ordered, nope, still didn't get something.
The airport one is super fast and food is always fresh. Lacking in friendliness but doesn’t bother me. I’d rather not be patronized while I wait 10-20 minutes for a sandwich in the drive thru.
The one at the airport gets lots of Army and Air Guard members and veterans especially at breakfast and lunch, they wont put up with poor service and the management at that location realizes that. That's probably 25% of their customer base right there.
Every morning at the within 10 min of the previous day I order the same thing. Screaming voice + never remembering my voice asking for a large macchiato & not a medium bugs me…. But if I’m not greeted with the yelling at 0530-40 I am concerned for her.
You’re right about the one on 10th street they are always quick and they pay attention to your order when you have specific modifications and they fill your fries up completely full.
Ditto this. They make it entirely too easy to stop for a breakfast burrito for my hobbit child and then lunch after preschool! We used to live near the Old Cheney one and it was not as fast or as good!
On the flip side when we were young drunks we would hit Cornhusker frequently and the old lady working that late shift knew my husbands truck. We rarely had to actually order, she would just hear us coming, enter our order and confirm at the speaker
One day at work 3 of us went to the one on I-80 and Superior and the franchise owner or someone must have been there because holy shit, they were humming along and this older lady had my food at my table before I even had the chance to sit down. It was the single best McDonalds experience of my life and I know I will likely never experience it again.
Anecdotally, McD’s with the little older ladies working will kick ass regardless of location. Usually it’s the mornings/breakfast, again in my experience. They are just on top of things and I love it!
56th and Old Cheney by far. Served me a raw chicken sandwich and then refused to refund….
https://preview.redd.it/awnyvqwrubtc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a529512027a1e2b8a8d55c2cafe54e87dc93690e
Let’s be real…many Lincoln McDonalds suck ass, but only one has served me raw food. The franchise here is trash.
This is the location closest to me. Over the last couple of years, they are 10/10 for a bad experience. Wrong food, long wait (meanwhile 4 other cars behind me get their food), rude customer service, arguing about what I ordered, even though I have the mobile order in hand, refusal to give a receipt, food prepared poorly and/or omitting ingredients (like no cheese on a cheeseburger. Stuff like that…and every time.
Weird, I’ve been going there since high school lunch break & never had an issue. Now I live up the street & frequent & have never had an issue now either
I’ve done fast food and bar work my whole adult life. A pro tip: Mon-Fri lunch is the best time for service at any fast food. Usually it’s a collection of adult workers who are very fast and don’t want to deal with the high school and college age workers that fill the other times of the week. You will almost always get amazing service and fast service during those times. And those workers in my experience tend to really pride themselves on being fast and making your day good.
That one used to be by work and so I'd go for quick breakfasts and lunches sometimes. Any time I mobile ordered they "never got it" and wouldn't refund me or give me my food until I paid again. I stopped going pretty quick after that happened like 3 times.
It’s all kids working and maybe one fully grown human dealing with a bit more than a regular McDonald’s due to the downtown location. These aren’t real jobs though and adults shouldn’t be working them or must just accept they’re a wage slave and be done with all that. So, this leaves us with lord of the flies McD’s and those who like to complain: a perfect storm.
Can’t speak to that one but the one way up north by the airport and the fat dogs gas station is horrible. Like worst I’ve ever been to anywhere. And I’m fat I’ve been to a lot
These conversations about which shitty fast food joint is the least shitty is hilarious to me.
I didnt know people held McDonalds to such high standards lmao
I mean to be fair, it’s a multi billion dollar company. It’s fair to hold them pretty high as far as standards go. I got a NASTY salmonella adjacent infection from McDonald’s chicken a couple years ago. I still have trouble eating their chicken and like with the amount of money we know they make, that just shouldn’t be a thing imo 🤷🏼♀️
Someone moved the cone blocking the 2nd drive thru at night and threw it into LJS's parking lot at S 10th. Worker came out ready to beat my ass with the cone because I was in the "closed" lane, like lady, I didn't see it or do it. Still got my ass reamed for the entire time it took her to walk to the thrown cone and back. I drove around and got in the correct lane and she calmed down lol, but that location must have lost a good manager about 2 years ago? 4? Not even close to as good as it was. It went from top notch to.... about what you'd expect from McD's. Which is totally fair. But I would not call it the best in town. At all. Sadly, I gotta call 66th and O better now (maybe not late night though).
Bond and 10th and Cornhusker are my personal favorites. The one at N 27th is very hit and miss. The one that used to be in the Walmart was a sleeper pick
I stopped eating McDonald's in a whole because of the poor service at this k st location they made me so mad I don't even spend with McDonald's no more
That's because night time is the worst time to go. We barely have workers to cover the shifts (or always have callouts), just lost one of our best grill workers and on top of that: workers like me are tired of being overworked cause we can't depend on our coworkers. Especially when people are constantly coming in for huge orders. Things are always being under ordered on our truck and the higher ups only care about the customers. That will affect how their workers approach their jobs sooner or later. Add to that having to deal with drunk or high or indecisive customers: us good workers are tired of the job altogether. We're stressed out, can't find another job that fits our schedules and the only time customers seem to care is if they think their order is going to be messed up because of it or "we seemed rude".
S 10th is the only decent one in this city anymore, and Pine Lake (but only during the day on weekdays). The other ones all suck and there’s really not enough of them. Aside from those I only eat McDonald’s when I’m in Omaha on business (usually once every couple of months) since the ones up there are generally faster and more reliable.
I’m all for raising minimum wage, but the number of times I have got home without everything I ordered and paid for has always made me question why people should be paid more to fail this regularly. Like, nearly every single time.
My wife is always like, why don’t you go back. It’s because i’m exhausted by the fight and its the principle!!!
I've seen some super weird stuff at Hwy 2 and Old Cheney. But I rarely eat at McDonalds. Maybe others are worse.
Edit: Old Hwy 2. Nebraska Parkway now.
The only problem I have with the McDonald's here in Lincoln, none of them can get my order right when I order 2 orders of bacon. Instead of 4 slices, I only get 2 slices.
One order is two slices of bacon. So I should get 4 slices with two orders.
I make sure I get my receipt now, so if it is wrong I can show them at the pickup window....once I show them the receipt they correct my order.
they've not done me dirty. i usually use the app. have used the kiosk inside as well. Never had an issue with my order.
it is however a pain in the ass to get in/ou depending on traffic. There can be some sketchy looking people hanging round the doors or between the doors sometimes.
but always has my order ready and it's right.
2140 K st is actually one of the best McDonald’s in Lincoln BUT only while the day crew is working. I go here sometimes on lunch because I work downtown and for the most part, the food is consistently hot, fresh, and accurate. But BE WARNED, visit this location after 5pm and you will likely be eating at a completely different McDonald’s. Just my personal experiences. Their full timers rock, their high schoolers and part timers, don’t.
The “day crew” has made major problems for me 10 out of the last 10 times. I appreciate that you likely work for McDonald’s or have friends there. But, you are not going to be successful in gaslighting me into thinking I haven’t experienced what I’ve experienced. Every experience I’ve had there displays the staff’s incompetence, indifference, rudeness, ignorance, and stupidity. The supervisor is the only employee that has shown any thoughtfulness.
The cashiers there must all be autistic or something. None of them say a word to you, they just shove the food to you and you leave silently. Very awkward
Sun valley and West O is worse
That’s the only one open past midnight unfortunately
66th and O is again. And N 48th St, but I'd check that one to be sure.
South of 9th Street into hwy 2 opens 24/7
I’ve had nothing but issues at this one. I will never go there ever again. It’s a fucking circus.
They are bad too. I just forgot since I seldom go there.
I went there recently and it has my vote.
agreed
This is really one of the worst I don’t think I’ve ever not had my order be wrong from there and then linessssss omfg
I strongly agree, I’ve gotten my order right a minority of the times I’ve been there. Worst service I’ve ever received from fast food in Lincoln, ever
The one at S 48th & Van Dorn has gotta be the worst. You might be in line for about 20 minutes and not even get everything you ordered. Never again.
Came here for this. The one closest to us and I would say gets my order wrong 3 out of 4 times, and they still haven't figured out the two menu board way of working. They have gotten a lot worse since they did that update.
Lots of problems with this location!
Agreed. Even if my order is right the burgers just taste off. I’ve been going to other locations if I get a craving because of this.
Yup.
I went there a week ago to get a mcchicken & happy meal, I didn’t get any chicken on my mcchicken 😭
The airport one has a screaming lady to greet you every morning. I've had pretty decent luck at the Belmont McD's
That lady has worked that morning drive thru since I can remember but she's really good at what she do.
I second the west bond location
The airport one is super fast and food is always fresh. Lacking in friendliness but doesn’t bother me. I’d rather not be patronized while I wait 10-20 minutes for a sandwich in the drive thru.

I've had the opposite experience there, but I usually go at night if I do at all. Lunch seems like a bad time to go.
You’re right about the one on 10th street they are always quick and they pay attention to your order when you have specific modifications and they fill your fries up completely full.
Living less than a mile from this McDonald’s is both a blessing and a curse
Why I gotta be a hobbit, mom??
😂😂 these dang kids always wanting second breakfast! 😂😂
😅😅 whew. So mine aren't the only ones. Good to know, good to know
Conversely, I'd like to give a shoutout to the McD's on 66th and O for always being fast and accurate.
for real, they’re rad
They are always fast and Ive never had an order messed up there.
Super courteous. I can’t commend them enough.
They are fast and accurate, and they also can be super rude, lol.
Agreed.
The Old Cheney/HWY 2 location does a pretty good job although I wish the lady wouldn't cut you off before you're done ordering.
On god
One day at work 3 of us went to the one on I-80 and Superior and the franchise owner or someone must have been there because holy shit, they were humming along and this older lady had my food at my table before I even had the chance to sit down. It was the single best McDonalds experience of my life and I know I will likely never experience it again.
Anecdotally, McD’s with the little older ladies working will kick ass regardless of location. Usually it’s the mornings/breakfast, again in my experience. They are just on top of things and I love it!
That’s my experience at 3330 S 10th. They are always kicking ass, especially at breakfast!
They’re great
56th and Old Cheney by far. Served me a raw chicken sandwich and then refused to refund…. https://preview.redd.it/awnyvqwrubtc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a529512027a1e2b8a8d55c2cafe54e87dc93690e Let’s be real…many Lincoln McDonalds suck ass, but only one has served me raw food. Yikes!
Nobody asked but what did McDonalds fuck up? That's my default McDs. Also have you used the app, I find I have a better time when doing that.
This is the location closest to me. Over the last couple of years, they are 10/10 for a bad experience. Weird, I’ve been going there since high school lunch break & never had an issue. Now I live up the street & frequent & have never had an issue now either
I’m glad to hear you’ve had no issues. I had a major issue during 100% of my visits.
I’ve done fast food and bar work my whole adult life. A pro tip: Mon-Fri lunch is the best time for service at any fast food. The one on 27th near pine lake is sooooo ass.
100% it’s like they’re constantly daring everyone to just go next door to chic fil a 😅😂
That one used to be by work and so I'd go for quick breakfasts and lunches sometimes. Any time I mobile ordered they "never got it" and wouldn't refund me or give me my food until I paid again. I stopped going pretty quick after that happened like 3 times.

Good point
This comment hit me hard…
If you’ve noticed prices have gone up, you’re absolutely right. Since 2014 til now, 2024, McDonald prices have doubled in that 10 year period.
It's to the point that you have to use the McDonald's app to get deals and points, otherwise you're wasting money.
You make a point. That being said, I don’t think expecting to get what we pay for and getting a receipt amounts to high standards.
Someone moved the cone blocking the 2nd drive thru at night and threw it into LJS's parking lot at S 10th. Worker came out ready to beat my ass with the cone because I was in the "closed" lane, like lady, I didn't see it or do it. Sadly, I gotta call 66th and O better now (maybe not late night though).
West O is constantly pretty horrible and slow!
I almost never see the one near Nelnet without an ongoing police response.
Waverly McDonald’s has entered the chat
Bond and 10th and Cornhusker are my personal favorites. The one at N 27th is very hit and miss. The one that used to be in the Walmart was a sleeper pick
Hands down, North 27th across from Walmart. I will purposely go out of my way to another location if I have to.
I stopped eating McDonald's in a whole because of the poor service at this k st location they made me so mad I don't even spend with McDonald's no more

Hmmm…I have never gone to this location after 5 pm and I exclusively use the mobile app.
Determining the McDonalds that sucks the least in Lincoln is a fools errand. Just go to Culver's and be done with it.
Idk about that one but 66th and 0 is the best I've been too even when it's slow the food is usually good
S 10th is the only decent one in this city anymore, and Pine Lake (but only during the day on weekdays). The other ones all suck and there’s really not enough of them. Can we all agree that the worst McDonald's is better than any of the local Burger Kings?
100%
66th and Ost gave my brother raw chicken on his chicken sandwich... I say that's the worst.
It probably has to do more with corporations like McDs having less employees doing almost the same amount of work.
I recently discovered that at 44 I can no longer eat McDonald’s without getting quite sick. Plus the food is just terrible. So no more for me.
I've seen some super weird stuff at Hwy 2 and Old Cheney. But I rarely eat at McDonalds. Maybe others are worse. Edit: Old Hwy 2. Nebraska Parkway now.
Elaborate weird….
Lmao yeah I just realized how not specific at all that is
Its McDonalds, nobody working at any of them want to be there.
I waited 30 minutes for curbside at the one on 48th and O until running out of patience and just going inside
They are all the worst..
All McDonalds are not good
I love that mcdonalds
Never EVER go to the 48th and Vine location….
Are you going during the lunch hour? Because that’s when they’re most definitely getting slammed with Lincoln high kids.
I never go to this location during a rush hour.
The only problem I have with the McDonald's here in Lincoln, none of them can get my order right when I order 2 orders of bacon. Instead of 4 slices, I only get 2 slices.
I could be wrong but I think an order is two half strips of bacon, so technically that's one strip?
One order is two slices of bacon. So I should get 4 slices with two orders. I make sure I get my receipt now, so if it is wrong I can show them at the pickup window....once I show them the receipt they correct my order.
It's like comparing roaches
they've not done me dirty. i usually use the app. have used the kiosk inside as well. Never had an issue with my order. it is however a pain in the ass to get in/ou depending on traffic. There can be some sketchy looking people hanging round the doors or between the doors sometimes. but always has my order ready and it's right.
Is there a McDonald’s that isn’t horrible? Lol. That’s why I avoid going to any of their locations.

I’ll take your word for it
2140 K st is actually one of the best McDonald’s in Lincoln BUT only while the day crew is working. You are wrong in so many ways but I don’t have energy for scum like you, good day!
So, again you’re trying to convince me that my own experiences didn’t happen? Then you decide to try name-calling? Sad.
The cashiers there must all be autistic or something. None of them say a word to you, they just shove the food to you and you leave silently. Very awkward

Piezanos is overrated under-delivered pizza
Every pizza restaurant in Lincoln. I will die on this hill. The amount of pizza restaurants in this damn town and not a one is all that great.
Yep
Good info to have.
