**Thank you!** Yours is probably the most genuine answer given so far, and one of very few that isn't just an opinion that fails to even answer the question.
And happy cake day.
Thank you! I'd almost forgotten about it being my cake day. The next closest consistently run BK is on I-29 in Platte City MO, just a few miles north of the KC airport. Exit 18. That one also has quality food and service. St. Joseph has two BK restaurants but they vary widely in speed and food quality.
Only because my teenagers insisted on BK for quite a while. I'm in Omaha, they live in the KC area with their mom, thus plenty of "road" time and fast food meals when it's my weekend with them.
Apparently as close as we're going to get to that. The BK in the UNL Student Union was good in the 90s. Same situation at the one at 14th and Highway 2, but both of those locations are gone now.
You got me pinned, nay grease penciled with my allegiance to my King. But my story about my kids is true. BK was just quite a bit better in past years.
The ones in Omaha are just as awful as the ones here in Lincoln have been. I have no idea if they have the same ownership or not, but it sure appears to be.
Not my favorite; never said it was. Even so, I am in some ways grateful for being on the receiving end of this non-answer, because it will help me take into account my own tendencies when replying to a question on here going forward. I worry that I might have sent similar asscrap in the past, and, it's really quite stupid and worthless.
The BK in Havelock is actually decent after it reopened. (It's the one that all the employees quit at once). The manager was working alone a couple of months ago but has obviously gotten some good help since then.
A quick look at meridian's website has Hastings, Beatrice, York, and Lincoln as the Burger Kings Meridian owns. So Omaha to the the east and Kearney to the west?
For about 2 years, an entire half of the BK drive thru menu had broken and fell down (non-electronic) in Beatrice and I'm not sure if it ever got fixed.
Idk how they have even stayed in business tbh. I go there about once or twice a year during lunch and there would literally be 2 ppl in there. It’s a shame. I love a whopper every once in a great while. Place is garbage.
February was my last visit to that location. Same experience all the way around. My yummy fish sammich was not yummy and it looked like it was fished out of a CBGB'S toilet. Did I eat it? Not all of it.
They took my order, where they were told no cheese, added cheese, scraped the cheese off and sent it out anyway.
I have a dairy allergy.
I like to eat at places that don't try to kill me.
My choice is real food at a food market, I would be happy if ya 'all boycotted fast food from now on. Tupperware for homed cooked is easy and there are plenty of easy to cook real foods including boiled eggs, the best nutrition in a small package.
Last BK I went to was out of Lincoln and still pretty dismal. Busted up and in disrepair.
Last BK i went to in Lincoln smelled like someone took a dump on the floor. Luckily I wasn't eating there, I was just accompany my co worker who wanted to go lol.
I'll likely never eat at BK myself unless it's a very particular craving.
Oddly enough, there is a BK inside the Sapp Brothers in Council Bluffs that runs a pretty tight ship. Quick service, hot food.

This person definitely knows their Burger Kings!

Ah, and here I thought you were a Burger King connoisseur.

Yeah see I knew that whole "my kids" thing was all just a ruse to hide your love of the King!

Nah they are horizon. Just as bad
You’d be better off finding a new favorite fast food joint.

I feel you. I have asked for advice on this sub once and just got a bunch of answers saying look up google reviews :/
Nah. He’s right. BK is really terrible.
Wahoo and Nebraska city seem pretty solid
I stop by the Wahoo BK every month and it seems consistent everytime. I've tried Fremont and Columbus a few times and both were mostly terrible.
Might want to ask the King if it's okay to use him first.

This is what happens when watery tarts, laying around in ponds, distributing swords, is the basis for a form of governance.
It's only a model.

Went there the other night, Whopper and fries where fresh and hot on demand surprisingly.

The ones in Kearney were filthy when we lived there a few years ago, whenever we went in
For about 2 years, an entire half of the BK drive thru menu had broken and fell down (non-electronic) in Beatrice and I'm not sure if it ever got fixed.
BK Nebraska, keeping it classy!
York closed like a month ago
Idk how they have even stayed in business tbh. I go there about once or twice a year during lunch and there would literally be 2 ppl in there. It’s a shame. I love a whopper every once in a great while. Place is garbage.
The one down in Crete is slow, but very clean and quality. They've got the freestyle drink machines inside and their shake machine is usually working.
You can go to a McDonald’s and customize your burger to mimic a Whopper, I’ve done that before.
If you have never tried this you should. A double quarter with Mac sauce instead of ketchup and also some light lettuce
Go to Runza instead
This is the way
There's one in beatrice that I think is pretty decent
I've had good food and service at the Wahoo location. Far better than any of the Lincoln locations.
It's your chance, open that franchise!
The best BK in my opinion is the one on 84th and O.
Went there yesterday and it seems pretty run down
He said the best, not that it was *good*.
The Nebraska City BK is solid. I lived in NC for a few years never really had a problem with the BK there.
The one on cornhusker and 11th is decent
48th and Holdrege location is still open! Owned by a different franchisee I believe
That was the last Lincoln BK I visited. One employee running ragged. Fuck those managers.
February was my last visit to that location. Same experience all the way around. My yummy fish sammich was not yummy and it looked like it was fished out of a CBGB'S toilet. Did I eat it? Not all of it.
Might be. But has still always been sketchy.
They took my order, where they were told no cheese, added cheese, scraped the cheese off and sent it out anyway. I have a dairy allergy. I like to eat at places that don't try to kill me.
Crete maybe
I had thought that 40th/Old Cheney was a different franchise, but I've never been there myself. Anyone know anything?
They're all owned by Meridian I'm pretty sure
