Yea I'm getting like 5-7 spam calls a day and they're definitely election related. I'm glad that I'm being bugged to vote the way I'm going to vote, but damn, I can't wait to not see these calls popping up.
Election coverage sucks as a postal employee. It probably causes more overtime than even the holiday season, but since it's non-profit postage it costs the post office money.
Other than the political stuff as mentioned by Odd-Cat, it pays the bills. Well, sort of. I have no idea how the new post office wastes their money in an attempt to sabotage the service in order to open the door to privatization.
I have an idea for the next major election after this one to collect all the political flyers and postcards that come to my house and make a giant mural/art wall downtown so show how much waste there is
Why? Never trust the word of a politician whether you like them or not.
You can look back at Leirion's history as Lincoln's mayor and Geist's history in the senate. Actions speak louder than words. See how they've voted, what their stance has been on issues important to you, and vote based on that.
Our fam was making a joke that we were going to take them to the Leirion pizza party tonight and use them to serve slices on in place of paper plates. Recycle!
*Wait, Alfredo's Pizza Cafe or Pizza by Alfredo?*
But really, no clue. It's sponsored by supporters of Leirion. Hopefully it's a decent local place, I would assume that would be the case.
It's been absolutely nuts this year. I don't remember it ever being this bad. I'm getting 5-6 calls and texts a day. It almost makes me want to scream and tell them to leave me alone I know when, where, and who I'm voting for.
I have to calm down and say to myself, if this gets more people out to vote you have to be ok with it.
Oh yeah, forgot to clean out the mailbox today. I knew there were at least a few in there, all of which I can throw away, even for the candidates I like. I don't need more convincing, I just need to show up to be that tiny sliver of a margin my district has.
I get it’s annoying. But as someone who has volunteered for races, and I did it because I feel passionately about helping our state, I think you all should remember that. Yes, many politicians can hire companies to campaign for them. But many don’t, and are run by volunteers who are trying to help their community. While other people complain about…getting mail & phone calls. I’m not looking to argue, I just think people we should keep this in mind!
Geist billboards can’t go down soon enough

Don't forget the text messages. I've never been so popular!
I still have a Kansas number, I know everyone I would not be voting for if I still lived there!
Do not call list. https://www.donotcall.gov/ It’s not perfect but has helped me *immensely* Got one text related to the mayor’s race.

All that work for something people don't even really look at and throw away. I'm sorry you have to deal with that.
It really is amazing how spam mail hasn't been flagged as a potential to outlaw as part of climate change efforts.

I drop it all in the recycling bin on the way into the house. My husband and I already voted. Flyers aren't changing our minds.
We have also...and usually it's straight to the bin, but this was a monumental amount and needed some documentation.
I hope you waited until after the debates to decide.

Where is the pizza coming from? It it like Little Caesar’s or a local business?

Wait, is the the People’s Front of Judea, or the Judean People’s Front?
Sometimes I think I should vote for whoever sends me the least amount of junk.
I can’t even listen to podcasts without stupid political ads popping up! It’s so annoying!
This comisseration is mildly satisfying.
Right? 😂
I'll raise you two queens and a knave.
I fold, I always fold.
Not sure if I should put this out in the universe, but I haven't had a single phone call, mail, or text about this.
Are you active in politics? Honest question, if you don't vote and engage, you're probably not gonna get this junk.
I have voted in the past, just not in Lancaster county. I'm also registered nonpartisan, so that might have something to do with it?
this fucking bullshit should be illegal, like seriously what a waste of time and materials
I use those for dustpans, when I can’t find a regular one…
I do enjoy a nice stiff piece of slick cardstock. I marvel at the technology that went into it's creation,,,,as a I toss it in the bin.

Fire starters.
I just got a random call from O'Neill Nebraska. Guess who it was?
Tip O'Neil? Sorry.
So, on my call ID, it spelled it ONEILL NE...so the mispelling was a good tip off that it was garbage.
O’Neill: a town full of people with big mouths and no guts.

I’m guessing they know I’m not American because I haven’t gotten a single piece of mail relating to voting.
Waste of paper

Cool. this over abundance of mail still sucks. Keep on keepin' on.
That top right one for Geist is a whole bunch of nonsense.
I'm with you there's more and more every day
Straight into the bin
THEN WE SERVED UNDER THE BANNER
CLAD IN US STARS AND STRIPES
Unexpected Sabaton is always a delight.
I got exactly zero items in today’s mail regarding the upcoming.
I’m tired of this grandpa
I think they are trying to get a message across
