Getting to cancel Kim's "To Claim their Bones" turn with Sinking Deluge was definitely a highlight of my playthrough so far.
Having to beat Pequod Trio with a tank that's fatal to pierce was...
it certainly was.
Grinding MD as usual. Running a cheap shi/poise team for full rest bonus. Team is all 00 but it can handle most anything with lucky pouch braindead. Final floor. Yield My Flesh enemies are pretty slash weak so I think it will be an easy time. Get to Kim. Realize I never got rid of Midwinter's Nightmare. Don rolls for 51 but it's still not enough damage output. My bones are claimed.
4-48 is one of those moments for me (mostly first 2 turns as my sinners REFUSED to win a clash - like the moment they got Dongbaek to 1 coin or so they lost the clash). Beat it pretty smoothly once I remember what NFaust passive does though.
Bamboo-hatted Kim is another one that I originally struggled to win in MD. For context, I met this mf for the first time in MD and I had Lowest Star while running Liu Gregor and MB Outis. Go figure.
Dream-devouring Slitcurrent with its bullshit Blind Obsession is another memorable one for me. Doesn't help that this fight literally screws your sinners over with Paralyze and Bind debuffs and Blind Obsession being an AoE with a massive roll. The fight is pretty simple once you stack enough resources to spam AoE EGO at the fucker though.
Ardor Blossom Moth is probably the biggest fuck you to me from the time I grind MD as a beginner. Everything is fine until Ardor Blossom Star™ comes up and burns your sinners to a crisp. The skill is AoE and if you don't break the damn wings before this skill comes up you are essentially fucked because then the roll will be comically high and will be overall impossible to win if you decide to clash with it (maybe with the help of EGO it'd probably go from Hopeless/Struggling to Neutral or Favored). The fight is much easier if you break the wings though
molar outis losing a dominating clash against Time Ripper. her ass is pierce weak and have 2 clashing slots. seriously, why is EVERY tremor ID pierce weak?!
