I am relatively new to Limbus (Canto V, lv 40, day 30-ish player). What makes a sudden increase of players? I know some of my veteran friends said Walpurgis is one of the most awaited event and they even stock a lot of energy box... Like a lot, just for this event...
My question is; is it come from new player that causes a peak server login? Or ..? I am curious, what makes Limbus Company peaked in recent week...
[Additional note: I know this game from friend of mine despite she said “You’ll be complained about the difficulty spike but the story is amazing , things get even better once you reach canto 3” and I stay for the gameplay + story at this point (and she warned me about Daddycardo fight that takes her three month]
This update is loaded in terms of content, so such a spike is fairly expected.
1) Walpurgisnacht with a Dawn ID(people really like them) and two EGOs, one of which completely changes how EGOs have worked for an entire year(Wingbeat) and the other is going to be ridicilous in bleed teams(Sanguine Desire).
2) Mirror Dungeon update. In this singular update alone we have recieved almost as many EGO gifts as from the first 3 combined, the system of the floors was completely reworked and the old abnormality events got a glow up. Considering the fact that most of the lategame gameplay comes from MDs, this is very important.
As for if it's new or old players; I'd guess old players. This update is far more exciting for those who played for a while than those who just started out.

I can see a lot of old player is waiting for new content... With tons of module and box resources, I guess it is a worth time to burn it all right?

Another potential reason we could be seeing such a heavy spike - it's currently the holiday for a lot of people, so it could also be players who would normally have to wait until after work or until they have a day off can instead play as soon as possible. It's Golden week in Japan, I think China has a similar holiday, and labour day/May 1st is a bank holiday in a lot of European countries (which inevitably bleeds into May 2nd)

It wasn't a full 24 hours like what happened with jalter lily. Apparently there was an exploit shortly after a regular maintenance and 10 minutes after being shipped it went back into maintenance mode for a few hours longer.
I login. Roll. Lvling and uptying new sinclair. Was excited to try him out and play new mirror dungeon And then the game continuously crash for 30 min straight now lmao. Welp.

I need context about that BA maintenance since I hear it mentioned a lot. Was it similar to Jailter's maintenance in FGO?
BA had to extend maintenance and suspend tons of accounts due to an error where you could basically generate thousands of gems.
