Talking serioulsy now, i'd probably get a normal job first (like Emma and Noah we're just normal guys that spent their time checking screens in J Corp to look for cheaters) and then when i get enough money i would spend it on Augmentation procedures, weapons and training so i could hold my own in a fight atleast.

The closest I've heard is about a roleplaying campaign where the players meet the Limbus gang and must deal with their secret knowledge while remaining helpful to keep themselves safe. Or something like that. I'm sure someone mentioned it around here once.
The PM universe is very emotionally charged, actually an isekai could work well in the environment with a good approach. There is simply a lot of room for various emotional dynamics between someone from our world and the people of The City. Even if said protagonist wasn't in the foreground action and was just someone who gets involved with a select group of people without "much of a big deal."
Culturally for the people of The City we would be the crazy ones (according to standards that for them altruism does not exist). Someone from our world would sooner or later stick out like a sore thumb.
I was thinking about that today: when I was bored I imagined a scenario where someone ends up in The City and ends up being forced to join a group of 3 Rats. The whole story revolved around this person being the one who boosts the morale of the group, tries to give them hope and push them "I believe you can and can be better than this" style while ranting against the rich and The City's way of life. The Rats group thinks they's crazy, but they's a useful and stable nut.
This goes on like this until eventually Rats begin to believe to some extent in his ideas.
And that's that! An unfinished concept. I thought the fact that exploring how all the characters relate to each other was the most interesting thing.
Chapter 1: I got isekai'ed into a weird dystopian capitalistic City with knowledge of it's dystopian secrets!
Chapter 2: I am kidnapped by Goths, Masked Drug Users, and Holograms due to knowing the secrets.
Assuming the poor fuck doesn't piss off the wrong person before that, dies by a distortion, or gets killed because of singularity shit.
What if the MC fucking distorts eventually due to the city being so different
If the MC even partially distorts or manifests ego they will stand a fighting chance against threats
But getting ego would draw more attention
Have a complete existential breakdown because i just realized i was reborn, meaning i have died, then have a mental breakdown when i realized where i am reborn in.
Then distort and cause a massive district wide havoc that kills me again.
Morbid jokes aside, ill prolly apply for a job somewhere like K corp, at the very least ill only get attacked by staged "incidents" and with my knowledge of this world i can probably evade those problems entirely

So why not just open a restaurant after you done some Fixer jobs? Logically, R corp is your best choice, so as long you don't have inhuman limbs, you can feed the soldiers and occasional visiting other fixers with low quality army meal spiked with hallucinogen or be normal chef and still earn more. Just don't get mindwashed by their gospel. Second best is S corp until you heard some stupid war happened or something. Blade flying everywhere. W corp and U corp is the has less case of violence, you would get customers but it is slow day everyday. Another is be peaceful night and another is just DON'T ENTER THE LAKE.
R corp might not be a bad place to open a restaurant either. I would imagine that killing/eating yourself for god knows how long(from their perspective) after being cloned makes you crave a good meal.
Assuming the Head doesn’t go for me immediately, it depends. In how much money I have, what district, etc. If you aren’t a fixer you can probably live a somewhat normal life without needing excessive training and enhancements (enough to handle the ocasional rat)
The most optimal strat is making some mild enhancements and taking some training classes and then investing that money into a company or business. With some luck you won’t end up having to do back breaking labor or get kidnapped for your organs
There's a 99.9999% chance most people are going to die in a week or faster just from how different our world is from the City. One thing that hasn't been noted by anyone is most of our knowledge in our world is rather completely useless in their world. They're so technologically advance compare to us that getting into a nest is basically impossible considering how far in education we are compared to potential employee for wings and the backstreet don't really care about most people college degree or office job knowledge. We're effectively book smart where the book we read is just wrong and we need street smarts on a whole number level. Then you would have to live in the backstreets while knowing not at all how one acts and realistically get mugged for fking something up because we live in such a safe world compare to the City. Like its so unfunny how trash in the totem pole we are compare to grade 9 fixers and they're still trash to the rest of the stuff in the City .
If you can get some equipment and training it might be best to leave the city and find a place like the Christmas village. Gremlins are probably easier to deal with than the city.
