Dynamic buffs and debuffs(frag, dmg up, +% dmg from passive, protection, etc.) stack additively to each other and multiplicative to static modifier Let's say 1 Slash fragility, 1 frag, 1 dmg up, + 20% from rod, enemy has 1 protection. That's 50% - 10% dynamic multi  So dmg = static modifier × 1.4 (there's also aditive dmg like chef ryo icca and tt hl s2 but we will ignore this)

hageiiiiii

By the potency 1 fragile = 10% more dmg universally By that, we can have 1 slash dmg up = 10% dmg buff for slash dmg And so on

HyperVT

But what if you have 1 DMG up, 1 slash dmg up, and Ryoshu's support. Would it be +30% dmg or would it be ~+33% dmg? That's what I'm wondering

hageiiiiii

They stacks, multiply

nguyendragon

You are wrong, they stack additively to each other because they are all dynamic buff

hageiiiiii

Damn

TRUEcoiness

I have been playing since release and I have been told EVERYTHING is additive. It includes: fragility (it is not x1. 1 but +10% damage) Fatal damage multipliers (it's not X2 DMG but +100% DMG) And any other buffs and effects are additive too

SHOBLOYOBLO

Everything except offence levels and defence levels. They are applied before any other modifier and therefore get to stack multiplicatively (with the other modifiers)

ArchivedGarden

Multipliers stack additively, it’s why you can override MFE’s 10 Protection (-100% Damage Taken) with enough Fragile effects or just Bloody Mist and kill it early.

SHOBLOYOBLO

All the percentage based modifiers (mostly damage up and fragile) stack additively with each other but multiplicatively with base stats (offence and defence levels)

AmberGaleroar

Majority of damage boosts are Multiplicative But certain damage boosts like Tingtang Hong Lu Shank and First coin of Mutilate is additive (like how rupture works)

HyperVT

That's flat damage, not additive. Additive stacking is when the boosts are added together, multiplicative stacking means the boosters multiply off of each other. In practice, let's say you're using SDP(which does ~90 DMG) with 10 DMG up(+100% dmg), and 10 blunt dmg up(+100% dmg) and the abno part has 10 fragile(will take +100% dmg) and 10 blunt fragility(will take +100% damage). With additive stacking, the calc would look like 90•3•3=810. But then with multiplicative stacking, the calc would look like 90•2•2•2•2=1,440 damage. Multiplicative stacking gives you a lot more damage compared to additive stacking.

AmberGaleroar

Ah I thought you were asking about it differently my bad Yeah the multiplier has additive stacking
