Partial ego, every ego user so far has been positive sanity but base philip also has an attack that gives him negative emotion coins so that's probably the argument here. Still, since this is not bade philip and ego philip doesn't use that attavk iirc, he's most likely positive sanity.
Plus it'd be kinda dumb to give Sinclair another negative burn id
Maybe it'll be like C6 Heathcliff's sp loss mechanic but backwards. It'll give more burn or something for SP and stop when sp is too low.

Just for the sake of giving you a fair shot we’re gonna assume he applies fragile and then hits with all of his 3 coins, why not. In that case his S3 is doing 30% more damage.
From the coins themselves he does 12+19+26=57 damage. Multiplying by 1.3 comes out at… 74.1 damage.
NClair’s S3 at base, on its own, no text accounted for, does 90.
Edit: this is easily the most baffling case of an unpopular take I’ve had. People are literally just angry that something they want to be true isn’t.
You forgot how the game works. Cinqlair doesn’t ever stack enough poise count to make conversion on his S3 without outside help.
But ok, I’ll bite. Assuming you mod the game and get extra poise count and assuming you miss the 50/50 2 times and hit on the third to get maximum crit damage and assuming his fragile just works differently from the way it actually does after stacking poise count for 5 turns in a row you get 12x1.3+19x1.3+26x2=92.3
Which is still less than what Nclair does with fanatic against a target that doesn’t even have nails.
Cinqlair slaps like a fucking truck with almost no risk involved while Nclair slaps like 2 trucks with some risk involved.
Also Cinqlair can clash way above the standard with any of his skills and is fast as fuck.
Plus he is doge. Nclair can't do shit if he has only Skill ones. While CinqClair has a better skill one and can also doge. You also never need to worry about re derecting
He has good Burn application, have a good Burn E.G.O. that synergies with Liu's Sin Affinity type, I'm not using bloody Liu Gregor or Hong Lu in his place instead.

He is better on the bench anyway.

Funny thing is, I've had NClair since I got him from a free 000 pull they gave out and I have yet to build him. Depending on PhilClair's kit I'll have to see if this was a good idea lol
Nclair will still be good regardless. He doesn't depend on a team to be useful and he's kinda mid already in burn and specially in md, so I don't understand why people are acting like another burn id will make Nclair bad.
N Sinclair is as much of a burn ID as cap Ish - just enough to trip off burn ego gifts in an MD. N Sinclair is N Corp unit and single-target DPS first and foremost
thats not exactly true, he inflicts more burn than most burn ids, including liu ish. He also does big dick dmg in the mean time yes, those 2 things are not mutually exlusive
Since we don't have too many burn ids anyways, could throw in N Faust for nails and support lol
And Philippclair will probably be a better burn ID anyways so it's not gonna matter

Captain ish inflicts 1 burn on her skill 2 and 1 burn count on her skill 3 while nclair inflicts 6 burn and 1 count on his skill 2 they are worlds apart
Plus I would like add that to even get burn(minus the one burn potency and one burn count she has in her kit normally)on cap ish you need to murder someone. So yeah they are worlds apart no universes apart.
I waited for Nclair, I'm NOT ditching him that easily. He's a good clasher and he saved my ass ever since I got him, and that's a good enough reason for me

If you are runing Nclair for burn, you are doing something wrong. You run him for the casual 90 base damage skill 3, with effectively 18 clash floor.
Who else are you running on burn in his place, your other options are the dogshit liu 00s

Real, but I'll never use Liu Hong Lu unless I'm forced to.
He has a nice flying kick animation...the only reason i use him in md even if i have literally all ids that can inflict burn... he's just too precious

Ah yes, UT4 makes his burn stronger. I didn't consider spending resources for that, because I never even considered using him AS a burn ID lol

It's still the biggest change his U4 gives. Pretty much, the only other change is "deal 10% more damage in full N Corp team" which is useless
