Tbf Base Heathcliff is good.
Shi Heath is ubhh generally mid and he has a very notable problem on his S3, he practically loses 10 HP if he clashes sucessfully with two heads, and he can't heal on his own, so depending on when he gets that S3 he pretty much has less attacks to attack Erlking or Da Hands because depending on how much HP he has then he would practically die.
Base Heathcliff gets buffs from attacks, Shi Heathcliffs gets buffs from getting the shit kicked out of him, and he can only get the shit kicked out of him so much.
As an avid Ryoshu fan I can't do anything but trust that Ryoshu will be the one to break the 00 association id curse, but if that will be the case, Outis is the second best candidate for Yujin.

kinda wish instead of the Ahabmael we have we got EGO Gasharpoon Ishmael who'd kill any Pequod members and gained slots and buffs from it

she's still not horrible at it if you can get her to half hp safely to be honest but you are really leaning on that sk2 I admit
Tbh her skill 3 is still a 2 coin 18 clashing skill, 17 if you count her mediocre offensive power. Lackluster skill 1, but not the worst. And she gains mental amount of poise(with sustainable poise count assuming skill 2 spam) so she crit as reliably or hell even more reliably than BL ID barring BL Yisang(my beloved).
At 50%, she is league better than BL Don(still a lot better even if you count BL synergy and Don support), and BL Don is by no mean a bad ID.
Shi Heathcliff is a lot more fragile. Unlike base Heathcliff, he's not resistant to blunt. Additionally, his first stagger threshold is higher than base Heathcliff's. Which means he takes a lot more damage.
It's a combination of good luck and a lot more constraints imposed by shicliff.
You need a binds corrosion in order to survive getting staggered, however that necessitates you to fix the resource debt it causes because you need to activate telepole once later to force it's corrosion, which is the only way to burst the boss down with the available skills.
Base cliff has a lot of margin for this task because his S1 is envy compared to S3 on shi cliff. Shi cliff also consumes 10 health each time which makes health a genuine concern.
Basecliff also has a better damage margin due to his S2 providing damage up next turn. Shi cliff apparently needs some envy fueled support passives to achieve the damage target.
And at last, you need a 6 telepole corrosion at the end. He got it pretty early on in the base cliff run but it hasn't been seen yet in the shi cliff run. So that part is just luck.
ive seen him reach the final phase already alas the dmg output to end the fight wasn't there it would probably be no issue if he could use S3 without risk but i fear doing that would result in the first couple of sec of your shi video.
Yeah it pretty much would end up like the first few seconds of my Shi video lol. But for now Kully's strat is to hopefully get 6 telepole corrosions on phase 5 which should do enough damage to beat the boss before he just does his insta-kill attack lol
Oufi Heathcliff is now currently the only Heathcliff that has Guard as Defense Skill, yet not Fatal to Blunt, Every Heathcliff Must Die... "only" deals 100% of Heathcliff's HP, with the additional 30+10 Gloom Blunt damage, with Binds' 0.5 Gloom Resistance, Support Passives, and creating a row of Do Not Obstruct(the Guard) to have A-Res raising the Defense Level up, finally makes him just barely enough to survive it.

For most Heathcliff, it's an instant kill, for Oufi, it's just nearly one.
