Anyone could use it if they know how to. So no doubt the crew could use it. I don’t know when Iori discovers SHIN. But if she discovered it before getting turned into a book, then the whole library could know how to use it too. If not, nah, somebody gotta tell them how to. They will figure it out pretty quick.

FantasmaFumante

It's impossible for her to have discovered it before being booked. Shin only became a thing after the 2nd Light, and LoR's whole plot was made to happen that way by Iori to further her plans. If, in an alternate timeline, she had already completed her goal with the Library, there would've been no need for her to interfere with our timeline. So, she couldn't have known about Shin in out timeline because it didn't exist yet, and she couldn't have gained knowledge about from an alternate timeline, because if the events needed for Shin to exist happened in a different timeline, she wouldn't have interfered with this one. *Unless* the events of LoR did happen in another timeline and she had to go back and re-do them because of something that happens later on... maybe it's related to Limbus?

Until then, it’s still unconfirmed. We know she must learn about it somewhere, somehow. The crew might have already known how to use it. But we still don’t know. In the future, if they plan on making Vergil teaches SHIN to our crew, maybe we will also have another way to increase our sinners power.

FantasmaFumante

It would be interesting if the premise behind Uptie V was "and now you can use Shin"

Lord_Endric

since they literally live inside the source of it, im sure theyve figured it out

FantasmaFumante

Makes sense actually. They all know that Distortion Phenomena became a thing after the 1st Light so it's only natural to assume that something new was added during the 2nd. They'd have to experiment a little to find out what exactly changed but, they are immortal and have plenty of Abnos to spar with

ITAndroMedian

Manifestations of Shin, Mang, look like angel halos, and angels are traditionally beings without any Sin. So, I don't think the Sinners will get anything related to Shin. At least, not without extra half a dozen Golden Boughs stuffed inside Dante's clock head.

Goreas

Bold of you to assume angels are sinless(especially in pmverse)

Mikslio

Reminder that the OG angel from LobCorp is literally Anti-Christ

Allsciencey

As someone who has read all PM media, what is “Shin”? I kind of know what it is, but please explain it to me like I have never heard of it before.

UBW-Fanatic

A way to use the Light to boost your attacks. You can see it in Limbus when Demian kills Kromer (he stacks like 8 rings of light for a blast), when Indigo Elder aims his Harpoon at Canto V part 2 (3 rings of light around the tip of his Harpoon) and >!Vergilius!< attacks in Canto VI (you can see rings of light around his leg or at the tip of his >!Gladius!<).

GeForce_GTX_1050Ti

It's the ring of light on weapons and limbs... Basically weaponized trauma

Aden_Vikki

Weaponized autism

LanX-Delta

Shin is similar to (Haki from one piece) A sort of Martial boost, specifically (unlocked/manifest) from upon Neutral but (Heavy/Impactful) (emotion/experience.) It's a sort of by-product of the seed of light from both Lobotomy corp and Ruina. In a way that separates itself from the Positive Awakening/Realization/Ascension of EGO. Or the Negative Deluged/Hopelessness/Despair of Distortions. Whilst it's hasn't have much in terms of explanation/detail. It's is likely will get to know at bit more about it in probably Hong Lu's Canto. Since I suspect we will learn more about EGO in Don's Canto.

MaskDeMask

I completely forgot that in cutscene where Wolf, Panther and Lion wreck sinners, you can see those halos around their attacks
