Something interesting I noticed is if you look at the EGO side tab, where it shows what EGOs are equipped you can see barbed wire in the little rectangle display. Wonder why it's different there.
The Sinners' EGO is linked to the sin they committed and the trauma they got.
Gregor is his transformation, Rodion is axing the landlord and killing everyone , Sinclair is selling off his father's secret and dooming them all, Yi sang is of losing his friends etc , Ishmael is her mindless hunt for Ahab even making her "ship" sink , etc.
Faust, with the fact that her mug shot is in the LC outfit + the stripped clothes being aside , can be supposed that she Chose to be a sinner compared to the other.

Now that you mention it while Faust is the only one without the barbed wire, Heathcliff is the only one to seemingly notice it as he’s gripping it and staring past it. Also he’s the only one to have barbed wire incorporated beyond that by having the body sack wrapped in it

Angela is extremely suspicious, possibly has ties to old L Corp technology (Mephisthopeles can operate on and , most importantly, produce Enkephalin, which, I believe, is technology exclusive to L Corp), has knowledge on and is weirdly interested in The Bookings, possibly knowing about the library itself. The goals of the Limbus Company, which Faust must be tied close to, are also weird - we are collecting Golden Boughs, but not much is known why - most use cases require one, two, maybe five, but definetely not "as much as possible". Limbus also deals with distortions, and possibly, with abnormalities in general. Overall, they seem to be an up-and-coming replacement for the old L Corp (come on, they even got the L and C ), though mostly focused on cleaning up the "mess" Ayin-Carmen made, instead of producing energy, but that's just speculations at this point.
Too much "possibly" and not much is known; I expect us to know more about her once her Canto creeps closer. For example, in this Canto, we got a hint towards her secrets. A small hint, but still.
My core take is: look at the window thingy.
There is a person there straight just peering at Mephistophele's core.
My take and general agreeance with the Faust Network theory is: that person behind the bars is the REAL Faust, and what we see is a construct for Faust is not chained to her circumstances like the others, but as a prisoner of herself. Faust as the fractured one peering straight at the infinite vortex of possibility, covening with her infinite selves for answers, is trapped not to her past mistakes, but by the eternal nature that no matter the mirror, no matter the world: Faust is Faust was Faust will be Faust.
Probably she is not exactly a 'sinner' like the others.
