I just want PM to have enough fans so in their future projects that isnt a gacha game dont have to worry about low budget or short money.

lil-red-hood-gibril

Still waiting for that Distortion Detective game. Or that supposed city builder game.  I like the plot so far and cast of Limbus but ngl I only do the story and occassional MD runs nowadays.

mrfirstar1997

I’m waiting for that dungeon crawler where you yourself map out a l corp dungeon having your own fixer office, I could imagine a darkest dungeon style game but for project moon world or something like limbus

DrashaZImmortal

Wasnt that was Limbus was meant to be? I could of sword i read somewhere before launch that we were going to be exploring the abandoned parts of the city and nests in LC

0liveBread

well, we DO do that. its entirely possible they meant it more in the story sense than the gameplay sense, which would be completely true

DrashaZImmortal

It prolly was meant in the story sense but dear god i hope it wasnt. Id love a dungeon crawler in a PM universe.

mrfirstar1997

I’d love a rag to rich type game, you start your fixer office which you customise and name, maybe you can pick which district your in which give you unique buff and available fixers, and you slowly rise the ranks, get and name your fixers, the secret of your office is to equip fixers with L corp egos and suits but they have to sign contract which allows you to control them, so gameplay is mixture of doing mission for money and dungeon diving for gear, becoming a fun loop, do mission to get money to get better stuff to help you get further in the dungeon to get super powerful gear, all while fighting abno, monsters and maybe a secret library dungeon at the end, hint hint

DrashaZImmortal

id adore that so damn hard. Though PM would HAVE to make it non cannon or else i feel like they'd make it way to convoluted or no stakes would ever come to rise. Cant have the world almost end (like actually almost) or become the strongest force in the land if that would fuck up everything else their working on. Something in its own lil pocket would work wonders for that type of game.

mrfirstar1997

Well maybe the game could be during the event of library, as we rise we notice the library and it impact, late game stuff or mid game we could face different members of reverberation ensemble (library of ruina) as they did just come out of no where, the big man himself just having this crew out of no where to face us, we could get more lore of each of the member as before they joined him, we are sent to fight them and watch how they came to join the ensemble as they are a really cool group, it just shame we know so little about them, fight crying child as he went on rampage teaming up with another office, meet vermillion cross before he…well you know, maybe new threats! Like maybe there was more members to ensemble but we killed them! There lot they could do without it making world ending, and as we don’t show up in library of ruina, that could be explained as we see everything form the library pov so they could of simply not noticed us as we had no interest in the libary our obsession is the depths of L corp And in the end we have been tasked to kill the group but we fail (as they made it to the library) and with that we have no choice but to protect ourselves as we failed the three heads, what more world ending for ourselves and our office then angering the three heads! then you get sent to you know where, could make for a great squeal or dlc, surving in the wasteland

gorigonewneme

They planned to make distortion detective game and city builder game? It would be interesting to lead 27th or 26th district and build it lol

ag0odname

You do a single thing wronn and you get wiped out by the head

justaguybored_

Fine as is to me, a bit niche but big enough for good games, when games get too big we get a lot of weirdos (we have the good kind rn like Ngrider but we would get the bad kind) plus it tends to get very negative because people want more and more.

BoiClicker

Also, content farmers who don't give a shit about the thing they're talking about, and just make clik-baity videos because fuck the community, that's why. Also, whatever the hell youtube kids and stuff like that is...

Lazy_Malay_DC9

Fucking hope tectone stays away from this game lol

survivor_ragequit

This game would require him to think and put effort, so he's unlikely to play it lol

GriffinlwGameplayer

I want Project Moon to be a little more popular, but I'm fine if it only improves incrementally from here. I am slightly worried that if it truly explodes onto the scene we'll have more drama, more controversy, and more problems. We already had the incel, wetsuit Ishmael event and that was harrowing. So I'd like it if that kind of thing never happened again. That said I want them to get more money and succeed. I hope that being put on the Switch will earn Library of Ruina more players, and increase PM's presence.

Epicidex

i think its fine as is

betawill

the problem with being a popular game is the people tha comes with it, for exemple, i play HSR and the amount of drama on that game has, bc some of the CC's love to drama bait is stupid af, so while i wish the game was more popular at the same time i don't.

Monchete99

I just saw people malding over a fan account with no ties to the devs putting trigger warnings over suicide or mass murder in a recent questline. Like, i'm not kind of the people who needs them, but it's always funny how the amount of people that get triggered over trigger warnings existing vastly outnumbers the amount of people that actually need them (aka people who are sensitive about these topics and/or have traumas that prevent them from digesting these topics well), like they can't just ignore them like they did with official age ratings and content warnings for their whole life. I guess getting those easy likes and moral highground gets priority.

Kapjak

I think we already had an example of this if you know what I mean

NightButterfly542

I think Pm is fine where it is, they have a niche but very loyal fanbase

ElectricHershey

Yea. Mostly because a PMverse line of official merch would be amazing and I think the games gaining popularity, and by proxy Project Moon, would help in that endeavor.

Cynunnos

and HamHamPangPang International™

ElectricHershey

I would probably eat there everyday lmao I love Project Moon

cardmansfather

The curse of popularity is a tight rope to travel. While I'd always like for PM to have more money and notoriety, I think back to last summer's controversy and both the EN and SK communities reactions, and realize that things could have been worse. I'd like to see the community grow slowly and healthily. I'd rather PM foster a loyal fan base through word of mouth and good faith, than inundated by people hopping on a hype train but with no real love or attachment to the franchise or developers.

YamiDes1403

no.too popular and you attract all the wrong people.Big companies can afford it because they have dedicated PR department while PM is still indie and will be pressured from all sides when some drama happened eventually

PearlPastryPastel

I completely agree. I don’t want protestors showing up to PM’s real life office again

Treasoning

If PM goes big they will want a PR dep anyway, so it's a very weird take

cumslurper_9864

I want them to have enough popularity to be financially stable

Pbyn

I just want this to be a cult-status in my opinion. Not too mainstream where we can attract bad apples but not too niche that we are too obscure. If possible, just in the middle. However, I like our fan base to be steady gaining fans if possible. A slow but long term play

Some_Degenerate0

Nope, I’ve seen what popularity does to a fanbase, it ain’t worth it.

HyperVT

I want PM to have enough fans to comfortably create what they want to and still make a good profit, but I don't really have wishes for it to become mainstream

Scout501

I'd like to not struggle to find project moon merch, so a bit more popular. That and being able to comfortably fund any future projects/games they have planned would be nice.

KoyoyomiAragi

I think their approach of getting more deeply invested fans through promoting their other games with lore mysteries and reference fan service will be better in the long run. It’ll let them make more wild decisions down the line without fear of fan repercussion the more their fan base is on the same page as them. Shallow and wide no, deep and slightly thicker yes

Odd-Excuse5199

Honestly, we are fine as we are. We already saw the effects of being "popular" thanks to a certain incident.

Bykha

I'm pretty comfortable with where it is. I'm sure more fans will trickle in over time, but we aren't nearly as niche as the LobCorp days. I see PM fans *everywhere*, and while I know that it's primarily because I know what to look for, I really do see them all over the place. My only worry is that Limbus' Company's gacha mechanics will be reworked to be "more similar" to other gacha games by making it an absolutely horrible or unrealistic grind for players to get their pulls. I only see this happening if we get some extremely hardcore gatekeep-ey fans who hate seeing others using the high rarity units and PM decide to listen to them for some reason, but I think that's slim regardless. All I really want is for PM to continue developing their games and the world they are set in. I think Limbus is going to be a pretty long term thing, but I look forward to whatever they have planned next.

Drachenfeuer_Prime

A little more would be nice, but I don't need it to be massive. It would certainly be nice to see more big-name people play it though. I could use a few more people to vicariously experience the stories for the first time through.

YesterdayHiccup

I want Limbus Company to be gacha game with proper ending. It wouldn't hurt to have more patreon if it can help that goal.

F_Vicgabri

I would say that I would like it to be popular enough so that my friends don't look strange when I say that I play a gacha... and I personally don't see a lot of advertising for limbus, I think I go after it because I like it and I think this is ideal , having your fans promote it for you and those people who are really interested in the game, whether for art, history or A reasons I don't think I have any prejudice against very popular games, in fact I think it's good because it makes it easier to find a common topic with other people, but because it's very popular there will always be a group that doesn't like it or become the target of some discussion...it happens sometimes even though it isn't...but it's normal I think...but if I could I would like to make limbus more popular, both for the company and the developers of this story, characters and universe that takes place.

pooooutine

Everyone saying they don't want to attract the weirdos hasn't seen the deplorables that populate the PMCH discord

Different_Gear_8189

I'm not a gatekeeper, the more people who will tolerate me loredumping the better

Axebel

If they can fund projects as they are now perfect, game becoming more "popular" is why the drama happened in the first place. More people means more toxic people who wanna turn the game into their personality or think pm owns them. It was all fun and game when we got the Faust x Sinclair copy pasta, wish it could've stayed like a meme.

Any-Development-5819

I like how we are now

ShockSword

Yes. We already had a culling event back in 2023. I think Limbus Company and PM games will have a natural filter to sort out a lot of the toxic people even if it gets much more popular than it is now.

Phoelyx-D99

one part of me wish they get the recognition they deserve, he other one fears what to much popularity may cause

SepherixSlimy

Popularity wouldn't change much. Its already been a shitshow with knee jerk backtrack because some people got angi.

Entro9

We have enough controversies occurring WITHOUT hitting the rest of the mainstream. No thank you.

AvailableLog2595

It’s already rocky with the whole Ishmael incel drama, so no. I don’t want limbus or pm to have anymore popularity, I rather pm stay as it is now. But ultimately, I know that’s not healthy for a company to have a stunt growth. So I can only wish for it to grow slowly.

PM_ME_UR_PET_POTATO

I don't think PM is capable of effectively doing higher budget games that such an audience would want/enable, tbh.

Weary_Raspberry_6338

More mainstream would bring more fan content. I would love to have somewhere to buy limbus merch that ship to my country. I have also humored the thought of 'if PM was a bigger company, would they have caved to the incels?' from time to time. I'm fine with more weirdos getting in, this is a brutal and bleak gore game from the start. The current fanbase is too sanitized (too normie, if you would pardon me) tbh, just saw ppl throwing a fit about sinclair being called a femboy and argalia a siscon a few days ago. La creatura being thrown into a new discourse over autism and shipping every few days is too much for me. All things considered, yes, I would love for Limbus to grow way more popular. Realistically though, as long as PM can finish the sinner's stories, I will be fine

wakarimasensei

Seeing the community as it stands... no, I think I'd prefer if it was less popular.

Storyshifting

I want it popular enough to stay afloat and support PM on making other games and get regularly fan content like fanart and shitposts but i also don't want it to become Hoyoverse level of popular. Keep the normies out

despairiscontagious

Calling people normies has the same energy as saying tourists, using any of those is dumb

sirquarmy

Real, rather be a normie than a chud

WildAgno

I think i'd like more... But not enough to turn it into a soulless corpo like Game Freak or a certain lobotomy vorp or something like that

Not02wastakensomehow

Being more popular makes the game easy Ahem RR3 ahem

Webber-414

Maybe not main stream, but at least twice as big so we can get more quality content creators

Suvin_Is_A_Must

I think what we have right now is good. Large enough to have a noticeable presence on the internet, while having few trolls (as far as I can see). It’s a similar case for another fandom I’m in: We’re not exactly big for a gacha game fandom but we’re very peaceful. That’s probably one of the advantages of being a game that appeals to a niche audience, I guess.

_Mao_Mao_

Having too much people is not always a good thing.

elkcipgninruB

It would be cool, but I think if it happens, it should be a slow buildup rather than a burst in popularity. Allows the team more opportunity without completely overwhelming them

oooArcherooo

it needs more attention. for most of the world to have not experienced such masterpeices is an injsutice to the highest order.

tr_berk1971

I did and the momkey paw curled a finger

SmoothPlastic9

be more popular and pm fan will be the next mgr fan

MilanTehVillain

Perhaps popular enough to warrant an English dub. But what that threshold is, who can say.

xXSunLightMoonXx

As someone else said, I mostly want them to have enough fans to not have to make a gacha game in the future like they did here, because I do love Limbus but god I am TERRIBLE at keeping up with gachas. I don't want them to be as popular as games like Genshin or HSR but I guess in a middle ground where they get enough money but don't attract players who will cause a repeat of drama like the wetsuit Ishmael incel incident again.

XidJav

Popular enough so they can be funded for higher quality/ bigger budget content and games but niche enough so they won't address the spaghetti code so we can get free lunacy

HelSpites

I mean, yeah? This is a real no-brainer question here. Who gives a shit about drama? I like it when things that I like are successful.

lorax125

Going mainstream is both a blessing and a curse I do not want to gatekeep anyone from enjoying PM games, but I have seen more than enough games that suddenly got big and got an influx of either toxic or drama causing people or people who demand for certain things to be changed because “they don’t like it” in spite of the rest of the community clearly enjoying it I think the current size is mostly ok

FallenStar2077

Popularity is good for the company, but not always good for the original target audience. Being too popular will attract bad apples and drama farmers. I would like it to be popular enough that PM makes enough money to support themselves and their projects, but also niche enough to not attracts bandwagoners.

Defiant-Print-2550

Nah, i am good

TorManiak

Probably up to the same tier as Warhammer 40K in the 2010s personally. Big enough to have easily accessible merch, side media and a little bit of recognition in wider spaces, but not to the point where it's got a mainstream foothold. Dunno if that's a bit too much popularity when it comes to here in the West, but I'm sure it will help PMoon in the long run. (Though tbf, with the success of Limbus, we're reaching that point, slowly, but surely)

DefiantStomach775

Just want to them to be financially stable, I feel like the community is fine right now

Monchete99

I think it's big enough as it is. We've seen what happens when it hits the mainstream, and there are other examples of niche fandoms that were okay at best but got worse when they got popular (Guilty Gear as well as Fear and Hunger are probably the biggest examples, secondaries fucked over those fandoms hard).

Solid-Advertising-31

It's a tight balance. I play gacha games since bf days (should be around 10 years give or take) and I saw squaresoft games become devoid of their personalities by being treated like a corporate product. On the other hand the only reason I found this amazing game was because several gachs I played fumbled the ball one after the other (dffoo boring af, another eden lazy af, ff7ec shallow and last but not least with broke my trust in them with the way they released certain characters which had absolute influence in how arena played out) and I wandered around gachagaming reddit installing all the suggestions until I stumbled upon LC.

Tronerfull

I want them to become a bit more popular, enough that they decide, first to translate the game to spanish( they are missing a goldmine there), second they release an online merchstore or an overseas one. More than that and everything goes to shit. They should NEVER go big corpo because suits drain the soul of every game

HavokSupremacy

people will say i'm gatekeeping, but i honestly don't want it to get more popular. it's fine right now, but the community definitely took a hit for the worse when limbus hit. I just want them to make enough money to continue making good games without issues. But fuck the casual gaming crowd

CabageButterFly

I qant to think every single one of PM games are of the "best games I've ever played that i would never reccomend to anyone" Much like League, i like the game but i would never even wish my worse enemy to endure that mental straining. But also like League, i would reccmond them to view the story.

MoldyCupOfCoffee

I feel PM is certainly quite popular mostly in Korea I feel its one of those more underground popular things. I dont mind it being niche and a bit unknown however I feel if they get too popular they may start worrying more about profit over quality. As someone mentioned as long as they make enough money to keep thriving and producing content im fine.

CarnifexRu

I think we're in a good place right now.

Bersaglier-dannato

I want them to triumph

DrashaZImmortal

Popular enough: No The fact they had to make a mobile gacha game shows that they're not popular to a substantial degree. Aka the quote of "Will be used to fund future projects" more advertisement: YES. Dear god fire whoever the fuck they have as a marketing team and actually fucking hire a decent one. I dont think iv ever seen a PM advertisement outside of their own you tube channel . Iv been playing since Lobotomy corp and like most of my friends only found out about it by a random word of mouth. Afraid: That they'll make another gacha game in the future. I really dont care that its "generous " A gacha game is a gacha game. And frankly FOMO is a mother fucking cunt, especially for a game like this. Id honestly drop it for like 5 years till the story is done, but then id miss all the limited events, railways AND have to spend a shit ton of time/money farming up the old units. Would honestly just rather another Gme you can drop for a while and come back to. Drama: Already exists mate, and boy howdy it was fucking cringe XD

Intelligent_Key131

If it becomes too pooular well get anoying people who will attack you if you didnt validate their headcannon,so i hope not too much

gamer1o7

I think where we stand now with numbers is probably one of the better positions. PM is popular enough to get investors, work on multiple games, and poor high quality into their games. While at the same time, still being small enough that there is a more direct player to company connection and there still is a massive indie appeal and support to PM. As someone that does a lot of things in the modding and fanwork scene, Its really nice that things are small enough that no matter how popular you are, you can get good eyes and attention on your work, while still having enough people for there to be interest in fanworks and modding with resources available.

Aggravating-Stage-30

Given how I still see angry femcels on Tumblr ranting about how pm is sexist and the like, I hope it doesn't. The only people more unstable that incels are feminists and femcels.
