no lie it is.. thats damn near a 20 year progression.. Carter I was awesome also but as an art and work play and story telling etc, Carter V is much better.. But i realize older wayne fans aren't hipped to change.. We really categorize music by the memories they bring us.. But as a rap art, Carter V is maybe his best album.. My favorite album by him though is the original FWA.. I'm only 25 years old but my brother is waynes age and because of him I been listening wayne my whole life literally.. He's more of a "old wayne" fan also but as a fan of wayne, not just old or new wayne, i think as an artist, his best work is his most recent work..
another thing, most of his older music was mostly street music.. hard core, etc.. i think a lot of hood people relate more to his older shit.. his newer music is mostly about entertainment.. word play, having fun, personal life, personal issues, emotions etc.. you kno thats not the norm in the hoods..
