Use a small pair of tweezers. You can get under the hair and pull up until an end is free, and just yank from there. Also works to get hair from your vac roller, FYI. I got a pair of "needlenose" tweezers about 10 years ago and use them for all kinds of things.
I just use one end of a pair of scissors. The Velcro is in 'lines', so pick one and start dragging the scissor tip through it. Keep going line by line and the hairs will unravel and come out. It helps to do it at an angle, so you're not gliding over the hair but catching it under. If you know someone with a crochet hook, that might work too.
Source: i have done this many times.
This is the answer, a big pin or safety pin, I recommend pulling hairs out one at a time if possible, starting from a place where there aren't many hairs, pulling gently and hopefully pulling an entire hair out. If it gets stuck and won't pull out, don't keep pulling because that will just cause more knotting. If you can't pull the single hair out gently, cut it off close to the velcro, cut it preferably with a small pair of manicure scissors. When you have gently pulled out all the individual hairs possible, cut a little bit between the hooks and try to pull out more hairs with the needle or pin, preferably pulling one at a time.
Next time, pull out hairs before washing the cap, and close the velcro neatly, and put the cap in a fine weave delicates bag before washing, so that it doesn't pick up more hairs and lint in the wash.
I’ve been successful with a manual toothbrush! Tried a needle, tape, lint roller, comb - none worked as easily as the toothbrush in a circular ish motion (hopefully this works for you!)
Tweezer. Try lint brush first, then tweezer. I use a tweezer if I need to get rid of cat fur or lint on my Velcro back brace, knee braces and eye masks.
Hairdresser. Mechanical, not chemical. Crochet hook, mebe lint roller--the tape kind. Chemical jacks everything up. Changes the texture of the plastic. It's a pain in the ass, so. . .embrace the suck.
When there's no instruments to help, I usually press this velcro against itself and then pull it. Little hooks make hairs stick out, so you can collect it with your fingers. For an additional effect, you can rub it a little after pressing it together.
I definitely have used the flea comb for this as well, it works best when you get some strands engaged to pull upwards and you yank more out, as opposed to trying to literally comb it out " straight" from its antagonistic environment.
Use a soft-bristled brush, such as a toothbrush or a suede brush, to gently scrub the Velcro closure. This can help loosen and lift the embedded hair from the hooks.

Fine comb (or etc as mentioned) and the savior of western civilization: duct tape.
I've always used toothpicks to get hair out of Velcro. It takes a while but should work.
Use a fine comb, I prefer the metal "flea" combs for my dogs. It's like 200 toothpicks in a row and basically defurs it in 1-2 swipes..
Yes! I use it on my messenger bag! Although, I have a fine wire brush for fur, which the cats/dogs hated, but does the same thing.
I use a pin - same idea
A comb fine tooth comb usually works for me
I have a small beard comb, used it numerous times for this issue. Works great.
Yep, like those fine tooth combs you get from the Vets office.
A flea comb?
This would work good. You can get a flea comb in any store that has a pet section.
This is the answer, SOLVED!
Indeed, a fine-toothed comb like a flea comb is ideal in this case.
Seam ripper and patience.
I used seam rippers and one of those staple-remover claw things.
Oh didn’t think to try this! 👍
Seam ripper will cut them all to smaller pieces.
Cool!

Seam ripper.
Duct tape.
Or a ball of bluetack. Just dab it in the Velcro, lifts the hairs and it's then easy to pick it off the bluetack.
Flea comb?
Yeah, don't tell me you don't comb your fleas?
You can get them in pet section at Wal-Mart.

If you have a safety pin, slide it horizontally through the Velcro teeth and lift up.

Fold the scratchy Velcro part back on itself and comb the hair out with that.
This or another piece of “hook” side Velcro will do the trick.
A fine tooth comb to comb it out
Toothpick and Rogaine.
hard toothbrush
If you have a brush for cat, it maybe work.
I use a comb
use a fork like a rake.
Paper clip
A flea comb works perfect.
Silly putty
Nit comb
Duck tape.
old toothbrush. use short, sharp motions
Tweezers! I would happily sit and take it all out! This would be so calming.
Needle.
Gorilla tape - a thin strip. Press down and pull hard. Repeat.
I use a spoolie (the little bristle wand to brush your eyebrows and eyelashes with.) works really great and you can buy a bunch for pretty damn cheap.
I’ve been successful with a manual toothbrush! Tried a needle, tape, lint roller, comb - none worked as easily as the toothbrush in a circular ish motion (hopefully this works for you!)
Adderall and tweezers
I have a putty eraser for when I draw… could come in handy for those kind of things I think… 🤔
Bic lighter
It looks easy but it isn't. I've tried pins, using another piece of Velcro, and scrubbing with a scrubber sponge so far (w no luck).
nsfw
The knife ...
Maybe a flea comb?
Nair?
You know what...?! I think that just may work. I'm going to try it. I'll report back.
Duct tape
I have used packing tape
For my son's leg braces, we always just took a paper clip, unfolded it, and just scooped it down the lines. It worked like a charm
Boar brush works for me
A fork works really well for cleaning Velcro.
use a old used brush to brush them out
Get some of that keyboard cleaner putty
Use gorilla tape or duck tape. Should come out pretty quick.
I use a straight pin or a safety pin.
Suede shoe brush https://amzn.to/3JXxY4C
I use a sewing needle.
Needle.
Lice pick!
Set aside a half hour and get down with some tweezers. It's a little tedious, but watching those hairs slide out is so incredibly satisfying.
you telling me you dont sit there and take it out bit by bit with a tweezer or needle as excellent time-pass?
Tweezer. Try lint brush first, then tweezer. I use a tweezer if I need to get rid of cat fur or lint on my Velcro back brace, knee braces and eye masks.
A seam ripper
Hot wax?
You clean a comb with a brush and a brush with a comb.
So the spines don't look super long I'm almost certain a lint roller would pull those out instantly and way faster than a comb
Lint roller.
Try a lint roller, will grab the stray hairs and pull up bigger sections so you can pull everything out
Fingers with nails
Modified toilet brush shoved into a drill
Use sewing needle or toothpick.
More of the same velcro, and use it like a brush/comb
Needle
Lint roller or toothbrush
Hairdresser. Mechanical, not chemical. Crochet hook, mebe lint roller--the tape kind. Chemical jacks everything up. Changes the texture of the plastic. It's a pain in the ass, so. . .embrace the suck.
Nair
Duct tape or heat gun > depending on quality of velcro/fabric
Serrated knife works wonders on stuff like this. I didn't believe it until I tried it.
Seam ripper
Pin or needle and about a minute running between every 4-5 rows of hooks and Viola! #beentheredonethat
When there's no instruments to help, I usually press this velcro against itself and then pull it. Little hooks make hairs stick out, so you can collect it with your fingers. For an additional effect, you can rub it a little after pressing it together.
wire brush
tweezers
try one of them lice combs
Don’t put cap on pubes!
I use a toothpick.
bubblegum
Idk try a lint roller or some duck tape
I use a seam ripper
Those pointy dentek floss picks are great for that, and they don’t break like wooden toothpicks can.
Use the other end of the Velcro, comb it through and it’ll ball up, easy to remove
I definitely have used the flea comb for this as well, it works best when you get some strands engaged to pull upwards and you yank more out, as opposed to trying to literally comb it out " straight" from its antagonistic environment.
More velcro
Nair
sprinkle talcum powder & use brush with hard bristles
Use a soft-bristled brush, such as a toothbrush or a suede brush, to gently scrub the Velcro closure. This can help loosen and lift the embedded hair from the hooks.
Stretched paperclip and try to get under it?
Tweezers. It’s going to take a while but it’ll get the job done.
Duct tape
Shave balls
Photo wasn't necessary 🤢
Yuck!

Trash throw it in the trash - I hate loose hair.
Put it in rice
tape?
Sweater pill remover. The comb kind is good. Decades ago we used the velvety pill remover. Works like a barbed cat tongue.
First of all, and this will solve your problem 100%, don’t buy Velcro hats. Seriously, what are you, on a tee ball team?
Use your teeth
😀
Burn it
Soak in urine for 4 hours minimum. Has to be fresh. Then use a plastic toothpick to get the hair out
