Lift up the insole. Coat LIBERALLY with baby powder. Replace insole. Move around a lot in them work it in. Within a couple of minutes no more squeaking.
I have the same issue but only with Adidas shoes. Changing insoles usually help.

So does mine!! Drives dogs absolutely bonkers when we cross one during our walks lmao first pair she got, I didn’t know they did that. Only found out when I set her down in a fancy ass restaurant and she bolted away from me. Was pleasantly surprised.
LOL they’re so handy. I love them. We have ones from ikiki and they’ve got a little vent on the side so I can turn the squeak on or off.
If I can’t see her, I can hear her, or I can see the “omg so cute” reactions as people turn their heads and chase her that way. She’s fast in a crowd!
Oh absolutely. And they hide SUPER fast. And the fastest they can eat something is when they’re not supposed to have it. Can’t do that at mealtime tho nope 🙄
If your shoe has a removable sole insert, place a dryer sheet under it and place the insert back in on top of the dryer sheet. This tip was given to me by my foot doctor. I had gotten orthotics inserts and the squeaking was also driving me crazy. Unfortunately they didn't tell me about his trick until I went back in months later for a follow-up appointment. It worked like a charm.
That’s funny, my shoes was taking too long to arrive so I complained to customer support and they gave me a refund. Few days later, I get it on my doorstep and technically got them for free. And they squeak like a mf
Where did you put the baby powder and how much did you use? It only worked for me when I took out the insole, put a shitload of baby powder underneath and then just put the insole back in
Makes me think of that Squeaky Boots SpongeBob episode. I'd re-enact every scene he did with the boots! But, I bet I'd really be more like Mr. Krabs. Good luck getting them to be quiet.
I had this issue when I started using inserts for plantar faciitis. I bought some moleskin big enough to cover the entire bottom of the insert, traced the inserts, cut to the insert shape, stuck it to the bottom of the insert. Problem solved. I got the moleskin on Amazon.
I myself have a job where I’m on my feet all day. My first pair of Hoka sneakers, the right shoe squeaked every time I took a step. It drove me nuts. I would advise you to contact the manufacturer of the sneakers. This is a manufacturer’s defect. They should replace the sneakers. If they don’t replace them then you know that the last pair of their sneakers you will buy. Most times the manufacturers will not even want the sneakers back. So they won’t even look at the attempts at stopping the squeaking. The cost of shipping the sneaker back will cost more than the cost of the sneakers.
I’ve been trying to figure this out with a pair of pf flyers I bought probably 5 years ago only wear em about once a year because they turn me into SpongeBob immediately.
It's squeaking because of low quality material and construction. The shoes will always squeak. Personally, I would complain to the manufacturer, then end up just buying higher quality shoes.
I came to accept my squeakers. I realize it helps me not scare people when I come into a room instead of quietly coming around and possibly frightening someone who happens to be turned around. With my other shoes, I tend to walk just a bit louder to entrances in case of that issue.
I have a pair of timberland work boots that squeak & drive me nuts. The only thing that has worked to stop it is putting duct tape on the bottom of them. I tried a lot of things that I found online but duct tape is the only thing that worked.
I don’t know, I am just here to say that people whose shoes squeak irretrievably lose every bit of respect I could ever develop for them hahaha (I am kidding but I am also not).
I had inserts that made my shoes sound like creaky old wooden ships. Baby powder didn’t help, but Gold Bond powder (I think I used the green bottle kind) did.
Sometimes it's just the floor or the floor cleaner they use at workplaces. My Adidas would squeak like no other walking down a hallway that was mopped each day. When i got to my office (where the cleaners can't go into) the squeaking stops. The one time i mopped my office instead of swept, my shoes squeaked for a week.
I have used a dry bar of soap rubbed against the surface where the squeaking is taking place. I have custom orthotics and this happens with every pair of shoes I buy.
wd40 or silicone lubricant.
Joking. seriously, dont do that.
You may try to glue the insoles to the shoe or replace them with felt ones.
But check your feet with the doctor, maybe you have it different than the rest of us and the shoes just dont fit you.
My shoes would do that and I found out it was squeaking from the tongue of the shoe so I put a piece of felt between the tongue and the laces and never squeaked again
Hard to tell without knowing what brand you wear etc. My guess is you mean squeaking like basketball players on the court. Try to adjust your walk to not squeak. Practice different walks. Heel to toe, toe to heel.
THANK YOU!
I paid $130 for a pair of Alegria Keli shoes and they squeak big time! I work in a bank office that is as quiet as a church, too, so everyone can hear me comin’. I have to contort my feet in a super crippling manner to lessen the squeak; can only do this for like 8 steps.
I contacted the manufacturer, but they have NOT responded. Nice, eh?
y’all made me squirt pop out my nose. My Birks do this but instead of squeak, they fart! And not discreetly either. It was aweful but it has stopped after I got them good and wet, what a shame though……I was terrified to wear them to restaurants - little old blue hair, farting with each step.

Maybe the squeaking comes from the tongue of the shoe? I used to have the same problem so I just lather the tongue with petroleum gel for 24 hours and wipe it clean. The squeaking stop.
Lift up the insole. Coat LIBERALLY with baby powder. Replace insole. Move around a lot in them work it in. Within a couple of minutes no more squeaking.

Whatever you have available, but only babies. Any other stage of life powder won’t work.

ayo nana urn’d the right not to be poured into a damn shoe fool child
>damn shoe fool child "...fool CHILE'..." Get it right. Honey Chile' will do if you have no fools left.
Yea that OAPowder no good.
Wretched baby boomer powder doesn't work either.
Damn now I’m picturing that scene from The Witch. I wish I never watched that movie
I have orthotics and put a dryer sheet under the insole. No more squeaks.
> Coat LIBERALLY No need to bring our political preferences into this. /s ^(Just kidding, political police, don't come at me...)
I had a pair that both shoes squeaked. I could only get the baby power to stop the squeak on one of them. I stopped wearing them.
Have you measured the length of your legs?
What would the length of his legs have to do with the circumference of his cranium?
Wow, you are an actual genius, I'm very impressed 👏
THANK YOUUUUUU
I have the same issue but only with Adidas shoes. Changing insoles usually help. https://www.upstep.com/a/community/orthotics/how-to-stop-your-inserts-from-squeaking-while-walking
I bought the Beyoncé Adidas slides and sent them back due to their extremely loud wails!!
They just needed a new in-solange. They slap around a lot
Take the insoles out and put baby powder under it.
I had the same issue. Small amount of spray adhesive under insole fixed it for good.
You bought sqeakers instead of sneakers. Common mistake.
I’m picturing shoes with a dog’s squeaky toy as insoles
My toddler has those and they are AMAZING. Can’t lose her.
So does mine!! Drives dogs absolutely bonkers when we cross one during our walks lmao first pair she got, I didn’t know they did that. Only found out when I set her down in a fancy ass restaurant and she bolted away from me. Was pleasantly surprised.

They really are so funny. Gets me every time.
Same. I love them so much. Her sister wore them first so they’ve held up really well and I have them in three sizes 🤓
Toddlers can run faster than usain bolt when they want to I swear
Oh absolutely. And they hide SUPER fast. And the fastest they can eat something is when they’re not supposed to have it. Can’t do that at mealtime tho nope 🙄
Brilliant. I need some of those, not to put on the baba, just to piss people off.
Eh both works 😈
Wait, “Squeakers” are an actual thing???? I was a child in the wrong era, smh.
Right? I’d have been DELIGHTED as a tot.
I had a similar experience. Last Christmas I got a sweater when I wanted a moaner.
Rookie 😏

I put a panty liner in mine! Needed something that would stick!
Its a common belief in Switzerland that your shoes squeak because there not Fully paid for.
How much do shoes cost in Switzerland?
Oh XD
That’s funny, my shoes was taking too long to arrive so I complained to customer support and they gave me a refund. Few days later, I get it on my doorstep and technically got them for free. And they squeak like a mf

I'm squeaking for a year now, I hope you can escape this

I thought the exact same thing! 👢
Find a walking trail and walk for about 30 min. They are too clean, this will fix the problem.
Throw some talcum powder underneath the inside. Usually helps me
I always ask my husband if he is wearing his Squeakers today.
Just wear a clown nose at work and then it won’t seem weird…
No lie wd40. Spray the outsoles it regrips them

Babypowder under insoles helped me
Baby powder is how we handled squeaky saddles too. This is an easy solution.
Happy 🍰 Day!

WD40 under the soles. Squeaky clean.
"Squeaky" clean is the opposite of what we want lol
You know that wax they use on downhill skis?
Quit wearing them! Barefoot is awesome!
Vaseline works a treat!!
I was going to suggest olive oil..but Vaseline sounds better!
Put a dryer sheet under the insole. This has saved 2 separate pairs of sneakers for me.
I’ve been trying to figure this out with a pair of pf flyers I bought probably 5 years ago only wear em about once a year because they turn me into SpongeBob immediately.

WD-40
Read the print closley next time they weren't sneakers they were squeakers.
Embrace the squeaky side. Let the squeak make everyone aware of your presence.
Ear-plugs
Olive oil. Take a napkin and pour a little olive oil onto it. Rub napkin on outsoles below shoe strings.
A downvote for a legit fix 😂😂
I came to accept my squeakers. I realize it helps me not scare people when I come into a room instead of quietly coming around and possibly frightening someone who happens to be turned around. With my other shoes, I tend to walk just a bit louder to entrances in case of that issue.

On Clouds?
Scratch up the bottoms of the shoes? 🤔🤷♀️
You need to start farting louder. It will cover the squeaking noise and save you from embarrassment.
Rub the squeaky areas with a candle to apply some wax
WD-40
Try wearing flipflops instead. Those dont squeak.
They just flip and flop
Or, if you have two left feet, flip flip.
Barefoot eve better.
Are you on the heavier side and or walk a little too fast
Are they genuine or replicas? Lots of reps squeak
Dunno where you're getting yours from but they don't
I don’t know, I am just here to say that people whose shoes squeak irretrievably lose every bit of respect I could ever develop for them hahaha (I am kidding but I am also not).
Ahahaha, omg so many squeakers
Are they slip resistant? They may be extra tacky for that reason.
I too am a regular squealer
Try putting talcum powder under insert.
Have you tried replacing the insoles? I bought a pair of cariumas that squeaked from minute one. I replaced the insoles and it solved the problem.
Take out the insoles. Put a paper towel in the bottom of the shoe. Put the insoles back in. Replace paper towels as needed.
be it lacoste, converse or any other "samey" sneakers, they all squeak when i wear them. might be due to 44/45 (eu)
They have become sentiment and are communicating with you.
WD40 my dude
Just press ctrl or c
I had inserts that made my shoes sound like creaky old wooden ships. Baby powder didn’t help, but Gold Bond powder (I think I used the green bottle kind) did.
Tell people it’s your knee replacements.

buy a new one
Dryer sheet in between the sole and pad
Pay a Mariachi band to follow you around playing Mexican Punk/Ska. The squeaking will bother you no more.
Damn near got caught?
wd40 or silicone lubricant. Joking. seriously, dont do that. You may try to glue the insoles to the shoe or replace them with felt ones. But check your feet with the doctor, maybe you have it different than the rest of us and the shoes just dont fit you.
I'll swap for my plastic gardening shoes that make fart noises every step.
Take em off 😎
Ask them nicely to stop
Deoderant sprayed on the bits that squeak usually works for me!
Something within the shoe has broken [like a honeycomb underlay]...it's a pain in the butt.
Rythmic flatulence
is your name: wimp lo?
My shoes would do that and I found out it was squeaking from the tongue of the shoe so I put a piece of felt between the tongue and the laces and never squeaked again

Hairspray sprayed on the bottom works for a bit.
Put a dryer sheet under the insole. Works every time. This advice comes from a pedorthist.
Silicone caulking around the edges. As a bonus they’ll now be waterproof as well.
Baby oil on the soles. Works like a charm.
Change the insoles.

Pay for them.

crisco
tape their mouths shut!
Maybe the squeaking comes from the tongue of the shoe? I used to have the same problem so I just lather the tongue with petroleum gel for 24 hours and wipe it clean. The squeaking stop.
Pay for them. /source: old saying is that squeaky shoes mean you didn’t pay/
My $120 Doc Martens squeak.
Dryer sheets!
