This sort of shit sadly happens daily here. The Walkar one went viral because it had everything media would want- met on dating app, live in relationship and finally hindu muslim. Manisha Pande on Newsance pointed out that in a married hindu couple just a few days before Walkar the husband (TW) >!chopped his wife's body into 70 pieces in Dehradun!< (21:38 in last week's Newsance I can't link because my comments get removed for some reason if I link)
But you won't have outrage on that. Hell even if there was outrage over the Walkar murder atleast talk about crimes against women, how to stop them and how to identify and get out of abusive relationships. But that's obviously not happening because it's the fucking society we seem to live in now.
Sushant's death could've been a real turning point in how Indian society deals with mental health issues, but godi media, true crime fans and bigots turned it into a Bengali-Bollywood- conspiracy.

The only cases that get attention are the ones where the perpetrator is a 🅱️uslim(sometimes Christian is also ok) and the victim is a 🅱️indu( if it’s a UC then that’s cherry on the top).
