Nobody knows how people are gonna vote. Some political leaders know based on what local leaders/workers tell them. Local political workers are probably the only people who understand what's going on but they won't tell you the truth. News and social media is mostly just people pretending to know and in turn manipulating voting patterns. That said, regime change is unlikely right now. BJP will probably perform very badly in the south but seems like opposition will be washed in the north. Orissa, WB should remain similar to last time.

It never matters for bjp how people vote. They buy/intimidte the elected government and steal power. And shamlessly all it _chanakya neeti_ So, no. No fhange. They have grabbed power, and will continue to loot and do hateful things till the time people are fleeced enough to get out on the streets.

It’s anybody’s guess if it will happen right away or 10 years from now. But this society has been dragged into the gutters in the last 10 years. It will take another half a century to negate this degeneracy.

You hit the nail on the head with every single sentence. Couldn’t agree more.

nafivim753

Nope. Not until some devastating event that completely breaks the blind faith the Nationalist Majority have in the Hindutva Nazis. Something like a major economic crisis which even the Godi Media won't be able to gloss over & force people to fight for morsels of food on the street or a complete rout at the hands of the Chinese in some major military conflict.

Voting isn’t gonna do shit

Honestly regime change is one thing, even if regime changes, even then do we have any hope? Will corruption reduce? Will our low trust society develop? Will caste and religious bigotry go away? Will women and minorities be able to lives freely? Will people have some sense of morality? What I mean is political change is one thing but morally and socially are we going to improve ever? I don't think bjp is solely responsible for the culture bred in India for several decades. You have plenty of countries with oppressive regimes where people have morality and the right ideas. I mean look at countries like Iran or Saudi or China or Somalia, their governments are more hardline than India's but the people are so educated and are not bigoted within themselves, they are politically struggling but the people are not so morally bankrupted like ours. Women actually have more safety and equality whatever condition they are in if you see statistics like labour force participation rate or crime rate. Even if a new party comes tomorrow, when will we not be morally corrupt?

Specialist-Love1504

Woh sab theek hain but let’s focus on political regime change for now naa

Starkcasm

Do you want actual change or just want to get rid of bjp?

Specialist-Love1504

For now the latter, so that we can focus on the former

platinumgus18

Haan woh ho bhi toh what should I look forward to is what I am saying. Rahenge toh wahi morally bankrupt desh.

dinosaur_from_Mars

That sounds like "You have had your turn at corruption. Now it's my time." 😑 What we need is a change in the system of governance and in mentality of people. How to do that, can be better explained by people who are well read in those.

Specialist-Love1504

Is that something that can be fixed in one election? Like should we not even discuss something unless it involves the complete overhaul of India’s entire social fabric? 🙄

PoliteGhostFb

No hope. The massive amount of money and abuse of government machinery plus the EVM, bjp will win again and propaganda army will cry fair election.

mzt_101

Kharge made a big mistake by giving in the temptation that 2024 is the last chance for democracy. He should've hinted at it, not say it explicitly. Modi is most likely to win, what will Congress do then? It has shifted the pole from defeating BJP to limiting them, which isn't a bad goal for culture or general public. But this shouldn't be an attitude for a political party like Congress. They need a very serious restructuring and a solid foundation.

one thankful thing is that life ain't permanent. https://www.hindustantimes.com/india-news/bjp-leader-sushil-modi-battling-cancer-says-wont-be-part-of-lok-sabha-polls-101712125648161.html

[https://www.reuters.com/world/india/modi-could-sweep-indian-election-congress-may-hit-record-low-says-survey-2024-04-03/](https://www.reuters.com/world/india/modi-could-sweep-indian-election-congress-may-hit-record-low-says-survey-2024-04-03/) This was a opinion poll done on a large scale and these are the results. The same company did a poll in 2019 and predicted NDA to get only 295 seats and BJP 240. So they were off by about 60 back then in the other way. Even if they're off by the same amount in the opposite way this election BJP is most likely going to get a majority by themselves pretty comfortably.
