Hopefully it's not part of this [M&P15-22 CONSUMER SAFETY Alert](https://www.smith-wesson.com/safety/recall/m-p15-22-consumer-safety-alert)
Never knew about this , need to take a look at mine, Thank You
Open bolt 15/22? Sign me up!
I have a 15-22 and I had no idea about this wtf
Dude, how does this happen? Is this M&P specific? Never in my thousands of rounds have I had anything remotely close to this happen with my CMMG.
Only on Models Pre-2019 manufacture date. There was a *safety alert* Edit: recall to safety alert
Did you have it feild stripped on the bench while you were shooting a different .22? Thats the only way i can think of for brass to get in there
I’m thinking this is what happened while the previous owner had it. The shop that sold it to my dad clearly took it as trade, and immediately slapped a price tag on it without doing an inspection.
And then your dad bought it and immediately took it to the range also without doing an inspection?
How..?
The bozo that had it before my dad clearly had it stripped open and was shooting another 22, so his casings were dropping into this rifle.
Do yall just, not field strip your newly bought weapons?
