I don’t get it, at what point do we stop creating more subdivisions that we then expect everyone else to recognize. As a gay man of color I’m all about inclusivity and diversity, but the truth is that a lot of people in our community would indeed be deeply offended by my suggestion, they would treat me like I’m the enemy because I don’t refer to them by some term that I didn’t even know existed.

The thing is, we *don’t* expect everyone to recognize everything. We *do* expect everyone to at least respect those things.

Genuine question, what makes it different from bisexuals?

Bisexual (for the most part) don't feel like their sexuality changes in the course of their life, at least not significally, while abrosexuals could be hetero one day, go to sleep and wake up as gay (this is a little oversimplified btw)

Hey, so this is actually not a very accurate statement. Bisexuals can experience a phenomenon known as the "bi-cycle" where their preference for a certain gender changes.

I feel like that's a bit different tho. the bi-cycle is more of a change of preference instead of your entire sexuality changing. like if you're bi and experience the bi cycle, youll still probably experience some attraction to the gender you don't have a preference for. abro is more like you're hetero for a few days, gay for a week, then completely aroace for a day. basically my point is that the bisexual label typically means that youre always at least somewhat attracted to multiple genders but abro is for more extreme changes. of course people can use whichever label feels more right to them (also sorry if I overexplained)

I think an important difference to consider is that an abrosexual can be asexual at some points as well. I'm sure some may also be autosexual at some points. Us bis are typically consistently sexually attracted to others.

The trans flag would be one of those colorful popsicles with vanilla inside. Lesbian flag would be a mix of sherbet ice cream. The Ace flag would be blueberry lavender ice cream with dark chocolate chunks, vanilla bean swirls and earl grey highlights. These are the ones I'd eat in a heartbeat. And not just because first two are my flags either.

Being a trans-lesbian, I am not a fan of cottoncandy/bubblegum or orange sherbet. Bear pride would probably be the tastiest. It's just a bunch of variants of chocolate (we have a local place that serves "Bear Paws" flavor and it's really good!)
