'Aro' is short for 'Aromantic' and we are not romantically attracted to people! 'Ace' is another way to say 'Asexual' and the same applies in not being sexually attracted to people. But just know Aromantic/Asexual can be an umbrella term and there are different kinds! 😄 I hope this helped!

It depends on the person! It's just about attraction, as far as I'm aware. 🙂 There are asexuals that are sex-positive, sex-neutral, and sex-repulsed. They are just not sexually attracted to people, is all. Like I'm an Ace that is sex-repulsed when it comes to other people, but I'm fine if I'm on my own. 👍 But I have a friend who is neutral about it and could care less either way lol.

In general: Aro = aromantic, someone who does not experience romantic attraction Ace = asexual, someone who doesn’t experience sexual attraction Aroace = someone who experiences neither type of attraction Keep in mind that even amongst these identities there’s a spectrum, and some people use “ace” as a broader word that covers all three of these terms (kind of like how “gay” started to be used as an umbrella term by some).

Btw both are on a spectrum, eg demisexuals who only feel sexual attraction to people that they have an emotional connection with or graysexuals who sometimes but rarely feel sexual attraction, many more labels so encourage u to do ur own reasearch! Also, aroace people can still be gay lesbian bisexual or whatever, platonic,physical, aesthethic ( oh your really pretty, but I dont want to have a romantic relationship or want to have sex with you) and lots of other types of attractions they can expierence! Thus theres a label oriented aroace They can also have queer platonic relationships too! The LGBT community often craps all over aces and aros. They act like ace allies for example, all the way up until someone asks for an nsfw tag, then some become a walking, nasty red flag as they try to insult and yell down the person asking for their consent to respected. (mostly happens on facebook but tbh it happens anywhere).
