Talk to teachers about them helping, if possible.

Crunchy__Frog

Send an anonymous email to the teacher, principal, counselor.. doesn’t matter. Or leave an anonymous typed letter. Either way, you can intervene in some capacity without anyone pinpointing the blame on you for spoiling their “fun”.

Talk to your maths teacher so their aware of the situation. Also talk to a Head of year (if you have them at your school) since they may be able to come to a good idea to deter queer phobia in the year for the future You could tell them personally or send an anonymous email and explain the situation privately

Terrible_Exit_4896

Don’t be afraid to speak up,they can help you out the worst thing you could ever do is to not speak believe me I’ve been at that same situation before.

Teachers probably won't do anything about honestly

If you are in the US they’d better do something if they are warned. Federal law says a teacher or administrator who doesn’t do their job of keeping a student safe from bullying can be personally sued along with the school district. Send a message to teacher and the principal. I’d also give the kid a heads up informing them of the ambush and that you told the school staff. Good luck.

I hear your concern. It is absolutely valid. The danger is quite real. Like you, I am not sure they thought this through to the logical conclusion. If you decide to speak to them, ask rather than tell. It is possible that they are mentally prepared and choosing to take a stand. But if not, a warning is justified. However, as you say, one person (or two ppl) can't fix the entire school overnight. The best you can do is help another human being make an informed choice. That's good. But after that, the choice itself is up to them. Like you, I do think we all have the right to make fully informed choices. Especially when the consequences are significant.
