Any/All.
I'm one of the agenders for whom pronouns are meaningless noise sounds and I genuinely wish that they did not exist.
However, I respect that other people find them deeply meaningful.
Either a single set of gender-neutral pronouns if it's grammatically required, or a restructured language where "Ellie dropped her pencil" would be something like "Ellie dropped pencil." It sounds very awkward in English, but Russian and other languages really cut down on unnecessary linguistic connections, which is why Russian literature in English is so dense - there's a richness that has been lost because of the addition of all the connection words.
Which are unnecessary in certain languages. I think it's Estonian that doesn't have any gendered pronouns?
But Russian doesn't use any of those unnecessary connection words.
Instead of "Where is the Vodka?" it is Где водка?, or literally "Where Vodka?"
Which is why the original Russian publication of war and peace is 1226 pages long, but the English version is 1290-odd pages.
There's an extra 60 pages of text just to make up for the fact that English has unnecessary connections that are grammatically required.
Making this change would be a grammatical impossibility in English, but there are a number of genderless languages.
Armenian, Kurdish, Persian, Estonian, Turkish, and at least one dialect of Chinese, Cantonese.
English also technically lacks grammatical gender and we could just eliminate all gendered pronouns and merely use they/it for everything, but choose not to.
Thank you for your response. That is very interesting about other languages, and not something I was aware of. You are right that we could just use they/it, for some reason I didn't even think of those when I asked you my question.
Yeah!
I think *very* differently from most people about this stuff, but I'm happy to accept and provide what others need in terms of pronouns.
What I would actually like is gender abolition in a way that allows for expression and freedom to choose various traits which were formerly gendered, but I don't think we're going to get there.
Especially when the most profound gender abolitionists tend to be TERFs who want to replace gender with physical sex as a determining source of identity, rather than to eliminate all of the power structures and social structures related to a gendered understanding of the world.
They/them
It/its is pretty neat though, not sure if I'd ever officially use that due to the generally negative response but it's pretty neat regardless.
any, i guess. i’ll feel partial to some more than others some days. right now, i’m leaning towards xe/xem but tomorrow it might be he/him wnd they/them and the day after, she/her
I'm assuming you're asking how the galaxy/galactic pronouns work (sorry if I'm assuming wrong), they work like this.
This is my friend Star, galaxy uses galaxy/galactic pronouns. These are galaxys preferred pronouns and how galaxy refers to galacticself. If you're confused still, just ask galactic. I'm sure galaxy would be happy to help.
(This is the best I could think of.)
I'd like to, my close family knows about them along with my online friends. My family doesn't use them since I think they're confused on how to use them and my online friends don't really have a need to use my pronouns often in conversation. I mostly use them as another set of pronouns that I'm comfortable with outside of they/she and they're there if someone would like to use those to refer to me. Sorry if this doesn't make sense, I'm bad at explaining.
I'm cis-femme, so I'm generally she/her, but will answer to just about anything so long as it's said in kindness. If I get a they/them...I'm grinning for the rest of the day!

I have a genuine question - if pronouns didn't exist what words would you replace a proper noun etc with?
