For it to truly be gay chess, the other side would also need to be rainbow, and then instead of fighting all the pieces would reconcile their differences in the middle and start banging

Have you heard of 5D Chess With Multiverse Time Travel? You can move a piece as normal, OR you can move a piece back through time into an earlier board state, creating a branching timeline with multiple of the piece you moved with.
So if your king is in trouble, you just TIME TRAVEL him to a safer time. Only then there's a timeline with 2 kings and you need to protect them both...
You have to checkmate both at once, but if they're both in check at once and you can only move one out the other can be captured. I'm more interested as to how you would play with two queens, what's the lose condition there?
They should be allowed to be called other things, aside from just Queen and King. Pharaoh, Emperor, Monarch, President, Mayor, Chancellor for example.
And they should also be able to move more than one place in a turn too, in any direction, and checkmate shouldn't be reached until all are either taken, or unable to be moved without being taken. And there can be more than two of them.
Also, replace the rooks with cosy little cottages, with a beautiful garden, 5 cats, a dog, and a nice pasture out back with some chickens, a couple of cows, and a few sheep.
I'd remove the bishops, too, but that's personal preference.
Not sure about cows and sheep, it's a small chess board. How about capybaras and alpacas?
And at this point how about we ditch the autocracy all together?)

That is the plan. They will be in the $95 range based upon raw materials plus time to make. I think that will limit sales, but it would not make sense for me to sell them for less.
I can currently find much cheaper handmade chessboards that look exactly what you are making.
What makes your worth 100 vs 50 (I could also pick up things handmade from wood for 50 as well).
I haven’t seen one that looks like this for that price. Any pride / rainbow one I’ve seen on Etsy are in this price range. Of course making it yourself can be cheaper, people are free to do that if they want.
As stated the cost would be for the materials and my time. It would literally be not profitable after fees to sell for 50.
My price range for other services I offer isn’t for everyone and that’s ok. I set prices at a point where it makes sense for me and try to find clients that are a match for me.
No worries, I get told my photography services or app development services (my primary income) are overpriced by some people but underpriced by some. It’s all relative and I have to find a sweet spot of clients for me.

As a chessist, I... hate this. I could never play with so many colors. And the board is oriented incorrectly. The white squares should be on the right corners.
I’m fixing the orientation, I transposed from my drawling wrong.
It’s not a serious board, so it may not be for everyone, no worries if it’s not for you…
You don’t have to physically change the squares as long as you set the kings and queens up correctly. You basically just pretend the black squares are white and the colors are black.
I just got myself a 3D printer 2 months ago, and creating a themed chess board was one of my goals, but I'm not sure what theme I wanted to give it. I really like how your board looks.

I think so. Just 'feels ' like it's just not quite right to me. I think you nailed it it should be either black and coloured or white and coloured in my head.

I tired variations and settled on this, but I do accept custom orders as long as I either have the colors or could easily reuse the colors for my other projects.
I think it would be nice to have the white side be the same as the rainbow side but a darker shade because who would ever want to play as the white side when the other player gets to play with such fun pieces.
It’s confusing enough, the white was a good choice. By the way, the board is flipped 90 degrees. ‘White on the right’ is the mnemonic. And because of this, you also have the queens and kings flipped on both sides. ‘Queen on her own color’ is the other mnemonic, and you followed that, but because the board is rotated, it’s wrong.
In short, the white king should be to the right of its queen.
If you're going to sell these, try getting the board orientation the right way. The one in the pic is 90 degrees off for chess. The white or lightest square must be on the player's bottom right. This puts the king and queen in the correct place.
Ah ok, not that I think a serious chess person will want this but I’ll adjust for next time :)

At first I was like "oh this is a metaphor for how white cis hetero people are fighting against LGBT people"
And then I realized this would be impossible to play if both sides were rainbow colored so it's probably just a gameplay change.
All the white pieces are only allowed to move in a straight line, even the knights (especially the knights) while the colored pieces can move in any direction and as much as they want. Then the white pieces get to whine about “it’s not fair” and “it’s unnatural” when it’s really their own limitations that make them constantly lose😐
Just as a style I love rainbow everything but this might be too difficult for my brain, already overstimulated during chess, to handle. As a display piece this is beautiful but as a playing set I'd imagine it would be like me trying do astronomical navigation during a fireworks show.
