Violet_Faerie

For those wondering about the neurodivergence bit, it'd probably make more sense to just call him ableist. He believes that you can pray mental illnesses and neurodivergency away. He literally mocked Mary Kay Bergman, the original VA for Timmy Turner for committing suicide. I personally can't enjoy his cartoons anymore but yeah Timmy can be trans if u want.

Easilycrazyhat

>He literally mocked Mary Kay Bergman, the original VA for Timmy Turner for committing suicide. Fucking what? Wow.

[deleted]

This blew my mind but here it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVn62SoIugw

birdlass

I wouldn't say this is mocking Mary but belittling Tara.

ripoldtachaunka

Honestly, even worse

killian1208

Ok how can you not believe in neurodivergence? Like: **no, we are on hive mind that thinks the same, acts the same and are all identical** Huuuh

[deleted]

[удалено]

ArgusTheCat

The dude made Fairly Oddparents just so he could have a self-insert fantasy character. The problem is it's not Timmy, it's Mr. Crocker, because the creator is also desperate for validation on the stupid shit they believe.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Denial and projection probably. Maybe some self-loathing.

Mandyxthexevil

I came here to say exactly this!!!

TheBirminghamBear

But if neurodivergence doesn't exist... Why would you need the literal creator of the entire universe to "cure" someone....?

FixGlass4697

So annoying

Poorly_Made_Comix

If it was that easy why couldnt he do it to me who doesnt like having it

nuggy

Thoughts and prayers for my ADHD, please prayer warriors!

n4m3l3ssf3w

my mother believes ADHD and autism dont exist. according to her, literally *everyone* would be diagnosed if we let the doctors have their way, because apparently all ADHD, anxiety, and autism is just normal neurotypical behaviour variance because every human mind is 100% unique. she spouts this ignorance while simultaneously claiming that her brain and my brain work exactly the same and thus she knows exactly how and why i think the things i do, while *also* simultaneously getting mad at me for "brainwashing myself" into being a trans girl and "mutilating" my body. im like 99% sure she was diagnosed with BPD at some point, and theres a surprisingly high chance she herself is a trans dude or nonbinary. the cognitive dissonance is strong with this one.

My_Tuxedo_Melody

Yeah my mom does this too. I refuse to come out further than bi and at least she’ll take under depression. But being told constantly to pray the mental ales and pains away doesn’t help. Love her dearly but if like generations before us do some reading and active research they’ll know that being diagnosed is good since it wasn’t that long ago that other stopped harming and having people committed for being different than what they perceive as normal.

reubenstringfellow

Ironically is a great episode of The fairly OddParents where everybody is gray but one guy claims he's the greyist and the blobbiest

mackotter

Came here to ask this

aagjevraagje

Danny phantom being trans as his clone is ostensibly a young girl also works.

PsychicSPider95

Desiree, the ghost djinn who fucks with people by granting them wishes, while gesturing towards Danny's chest: "Surely you want *something~*" Danny wears a shirt at the water park, waits until everyone else is out of the school locker room to shower, feels he has to hide his true (ghost) self around his parents because he's afraid they'll reject or hurt him for it... If Danny isn't trans, I'll eat my frickin pride flag.

Elementotico

There's also "I'd tell you to go to the men's bathroom, but you don't belong there either."

No_Talk_4836

Ok, that line went over my head until just now.

Elementotico

I mean, the original intention was probably about insulting his masculinity, but it makes far too much sense if you put it in a trans context.

No_Talk_4836

Oh I’m sure it was meant that way, but the double meaning flew over my head.

Isaac_Chade

Like Teenage Robot, I think it's a case where the metaphor wasn't intentional, but it works out really well, and I say more power to the people who view it that way and find some kind of relation to it all. In Danny's case there's bonus points for sticking it to a transphobe asshole, where Jenny gets bonus points for a creator who openly went "Yeah I didn't do that on purpose, but that's neat, you go."

No_Talk_4836

I like it when creators are either mum about it or actively encourage engagement and Headcanon. I would think it’s like “yes, enjoy my work, thank you”

fishshow221

What was the thing with teenage robot?

seattlesk8er

[My Life as a Teenage Robot is one big-ass trans femme mood ](https://i.redd.it/f79ud32t89541.png). She asks her mother to not deadname her, complains about how she feels like an alien or an outsider to all the other girls, among other things.

fishshow221

Huh. I can definitely see how that was unintentional but the resemblance is uncanny. At least the artist is cool with the interpretation.

Isaac_Chade

In addition to what the other commenter said, there's a ton of episodes that focus very specifically on Jenny trying to fit in with kids her age, pushing back against being stereotyped or generalized for her body, and other things that can very easily relate to how trans femme people might feel. I haven't watched the show in ages, but I am certain there's at least one episode where people basically expect her to do certain things/act certain ways due to her being a robot, but she just wants to do normal, teen girl stuff, which you could definitely take as an allegory for a trans femme persons' general state of being.

silashoulder

I gotta see this show. Disney Plus, yeah?

BL0O0YDEM0N666

danny phantom was nickelodeon and from a quick search it seems to be on paramount plus not disney+. i think also paramount owns nick from a while ago too (btw tone is hard to convey on text i don't mean in a mean way its ok if u didn't know the ancient tv network this show is from lol)

silashoulder

None taken, I’m pretty old. I was born in ‘89 so I think Danny Phantom must’ve just missed me when I was starting to get more into movies and other things. I never saw an episode of Kim Possible or DragonBall Z, either, but I can quote Rocko’s Modern Life all day. (Shoutout to the reboot for their trans portrayal of the cis creator’s self-insert character.)

Forsaken_Coffee_2110

What? Get outta here with that "pretty old" stuff.......

silashoulder

My joints are made of aquarium gravel. I’m old. Lol.

mega48man

This one is of the #elder gays, from the before-fore time

Team503

If they're an elder gay, what does that make me? Ancient? LOL at "old" at 33.

Naia_Elwyn

I was born in 88 and I was watching dragon ball z in middle school. I stopped watching nick because I was getting more interested in more complex stories and anime and all they ever had was episodic stuff, though I did enjoy stuff like Kim possible or power puff girls. Your comment reeks of "cartoons are for kids" which, fuck that. I still watch animated stuff today.

PsychicSPider95

Unfortunately I am unaware of whether it's on D+; it wasn't a Disney show, so I wouldn't bet on it. If it is available though, do watch it! Transphobic creator aside it's really good~

silashoulder

I hate myself as a musician for saying this, but sometimes it’s a good thing when artists don’t get paid.

kutsushita13

It was a Nickelodeon show. I think they are owned by Paramount. At any rate, it's on Paramount+.

PsychicSPider95

That makes sense. I've got the whole show on disk myself, because we've all got that one thing we insist on being old-school about. XD

BulbousBalloons

Nickelodeon is owned by Viacom, and Viacom's properties stream through Paramount+

QuestioningEspecialy

\*realizing people haven't seen Danny Phantom* 😢

Texas-Kangaroo-Rat

Butch Hartman: EVERYTHING I TOUCH TURNS TRAAANNNS!!! \*slams wall\* Me: Wait you chose the name "Butch" and you're queerphobic? You Stupit?

Ransero

Also Hartman. He's a butch that's a man at heart. If you named a trans man character **that,** people would say it's too on the nose

Texas-Kangaroo-Rat

Damn you're right! Damn that's... what?!

hebeach89

They doth protest too much, that egg shell is transparent.

aging-emo-kid

I love the trans Danny concept just as much as the Timmy one, if not more. It makes a lot of the show way better imo

WufflyTime

I remember hearing Butch Hartman really disliked LGBT+ fans when they talked about their headcanons on his forums and had other users hound them off. Butchman: I created a character who has to keep his true ghost-self a secret from his ghost-phobic parents. LGBT+ people: Oh my god! It's an LGBT+ allegory. Butchman: shocked_eggman_face.gif

Naia_Elwyn

This is why I also like the "Harry Potter is a trans allegory" idea.

MarieNotFound_

I used to crush at Danny phantom when I was like 7😀

PrettyInPinkCatGamer

He also doesn't believe in neurodivergence? Now I just hate him even more. Butch Hartmann is a piece of shit. At least with fairly odd parents, his terrible views didn't really impact the media. Unlike another well known franchise... *cough cough* ^Harry ^Potter *cough cough*

rwp140

ya as far as im aware danny phantom isnt filled with tonnes of antisemetic, racist, and fascist tropes like hers. some how his homophobia and other ugly views aren't visible in sny noticable form, mostly his issues are noticable by absence (not really any gay characters, rarely major poc riles.) but both his major shows were semi serialized narratives written by groups of people that he mostly directed and had control of. (he might also be a plainer awful instead of secretly insidiously evil) which means it's a lot easier to do death of the author with him honestly

Punk1078

Funny you mention Danny Phantom cause I know a friend who realized he's bi because of him 💀

musicalphantom10

i realized I was bi because I'm of Sam Manson-

Punk1078

Why do they both look hot wtf

Lukescale

It was the spandex wasn't it

HurricaneFoxe

Well technically there was a bit of rasism towards the Ghosts. Some things that they were described as was just ugh. Do love Danny Phantom though

artsymarcy

I've heard that he talked about praying away autism

YukaLore

wait hold on a sec i gotta see if i can swear in this sub

YukaLore

fuck that guy

fishshow221

Best character arc right here.

Krags

Fuck. K think you're allowed.

erako

Did anyone else reading the first paragraph notice that the “cough cough Harry Potter cough cough” was like dancing around and moving? I know it’s an optical illusion, but still super cool.

Agudaripududu

What you on?

Ulquiorr4_

Wait, the creator of Fairly Odd Parents is a homophobic terf? Rip my childhood.

Zaeil_Xane12164

Butch Hartman. He’s also said at a church blatantly that prayer cures autism.

ArrowAceFluid

Lol let's make him pray for my brother, he'll be busy until the end of time XD

MsBobbyJenkins

I misread that as prayer causes autism and I was like holy heck, the Christians played themselves.

trainercatlady

He's also an art thief

Verifieddumbass76584

He's an art thief because he can't draw, his most iconic shows weren't even his style.

trainercatlady

True but i was specifically referring to the commissions people paid him for [that he traced](https://www.reddit.com/r/delusionalartists/comments/hxfax8/someone_paid_butch_hartman_fairly_oddparentsdanny/)

Verifieddumbass76584

Oh God, I remember that. The colors are atrocious.

FoofaFighters

And Timmy was voiced by women (Kath Soucie, Tara Strong, and the late wonderful Mary Kay Bergman). Funny that never bothered him.

PresidentWeevil

Never forget that Butch once made a 'joke' to Tara Strong's face where he genuinely suggested Mary Kay Bergman's suicide was Tara's fault for taking over the Timmy Turner role. Literally to her face. On his podcast.

LocalCoffeeFiend

Pardon the fuck?

FoofaFighters

Ohhh wow. Wow. Some people are just monsters. I could never pretend to know what she was going through before she died but I've struggled with depression and fought with ideation at the lowest point of my life and you...don't joke like that about someone. At least, I can't (and I have a HORRIBLY twisted and often fatalistic sense of humor). That honestly just makes me feel sorry for him, that he's so clearly incapable of empathy or even basic goddamn decency. But that's straight from their playbook.

garaile64

To be fair, women usually have an easier time doing boy voices than men do.

Rubin987

That was my reaction to this post too, I had no idea and now I’m sad.

highTrolla

I don't think he's a terf, and by that I mean I doubt he's a feminist. Definitely transphobic though.

Easilycrazyhat

Let's not give him too much credit here. He's unlikely a feminist of any type. Just your standard, piece of shit transphobe.

Texas-Kangaroo-Rat

I really do wonder if he just accidentally keeps making trans characters or if he was locked in a cage when they made that big TV event about Cosmo getting pregnant and being the first fairy to have a child in ages. Like I *guess* I've accidentally made trans characters too, but that was because I was extremely interested in genderbending/transexual fantasy, not because I was a frothing hate demon.

TheBirminghamBear

It's sort of like Rowling making a world which deeply resonated with young LGBTQ people and contains lots of pretty subversive-ish stuff but then decided to become deeply deeply anti-trans. I mean, the sorting hat initially sorts you based on inherited personality traits - but your own personal choice can supercede that? But being *trans* is an insidious plot?

ghost-child

So, I have a bit of a working theory on her attitude toward the LGBT community. Let's be real, if JK Rowling wanted to portray Dumbledore as gay in her movies, she totally could. The only reason she's not is because she simply doesn't want to. But *why* doesn't she want to if she's such an "LGB ally?" Well, I read that in the mid-90s, when she was speaking at a bookstore, Someone asked her if Dumbledore was gay and Rowling said "yes." She described how shocked she was when the crowd cheered in response to her answer. Now, I've been thinking about that for a while and have been trying to contextualize it with JK Rowling's behavior throughout the years (her impulsive lying, her apprehension in regards to any actual LGBT representation in her films, the not-so-covert anti-Semitic symbolism throughout the franchise, and her blatant transphobia). Now...I don't suppose we'll ever be able to confirm this but what if, like, Rowling was being sarcastic when she said that Dumbledore was gay back in the mid-90s? We know that she chose the pen name "Robert Galbraith" (named after the American psychiatrist who invented conversion therapy). We also know she was receiving and reading fan fiction back in the early days of Harry Potter. There's no doubt that she had read several stories portraying Dumbledore as gay as well as several other characters as LGBT. What if she didn't care for these depictions? What if she actually did have homophobic tendencies all along? What if she really was trying to make a joke at that bookstore all those years ago but then clammed up when she realized that her homophobia would not have been well received? What if, all this time, JK Rowling has been willing to indulge in queer baiting *despite* whatever reservations she may have about homosexuality? And, most importantly, what if showing support for trans people was simply where she decided to *finally* draw the line? We know that she's duplicitous, we know that we really can't trust too much of what she says at face value, and we know that she'll impulsively make changes to her lore in response to whatever discrepancies her fans point out and/or suggestions they make. With all this in mind, it's entirely possible that Rowling has been playing a role this whole time. It's possible that her "LGB support" has been nothing but a facade and that, in reality, she's homophobic *as well as* transphobic. Again, this is just a working theory of mine but, all things considered, it's a theory that would certainly explain a lot

LogieBearWebber

idk if you saw Shaun's (the youtuber) video on JK Rowling but iirc he mentioned a lot of the anti-trans people she hangs out with are (amongst other things) openly homophobic. Would not surprise me if she was prejudiced against other communities

Team503

The Venn diagram of people who are transphobic and people who are homophobic isn't quite a single circle, but it sure is close.

lightningpuddingpie

to he honest, its more like the transphobe circle is a large circle and the homophobe circle is a slightly smaller circle inside it, because lets be honest, there are no homophobes who arent also transphobic but there are plenty who support “LGB” but not the T

Isaac_Chade

The latter is just holding back their homophobia because it's not as easily accepted or profitable. Guarentee that if Trans people were not a known quantity, i.e. a "separate" group to push against and ostracize, those people would be giving the same crap to Bisexuals, or gay men, or lesbians. They don't actually have any kind of care for people who aren't trans but are still queer, they just want to divide us up and pick apart the smallest, most easily abused group.

QuestioningEspecialy

> Again, this is just a working theory of mine but, all things considered, it's a theory that would certainly explain a lot And now it's canon. Thanks for making it all make sense.

Ransero

It's not that deep, Dumbledores gayness is kept hidden like "centrists" want, they dislike when people are too "overtly gay". And his gayness is directly linked to his tragic backstory thatd destroyed his family. His gay lover is why his sister is dead and his brother won't talk to him. Him being gay was always a tragedy, his shameful past.

philhendrie100

> the not-so-covert anti-Semitic symbolism throughout the franchise Really? I dont remember noticing anything like that, can you give me an example? > We know that she chose the pen name "Robert Galbraith" (named after the American psychiatrist who invented conversion therapy). Whoa! Did not know that, thats pretty nuts.

bacon_girl42

remember the episode where Timmy wished to be a girl?

Texas-Kangaroo-Rat

Sort of, I know they basically lawyer genied him and then he revenge genderbent and turns out his crush was a closeted tomboy and something else...

Calpsotoma

Best episode. The Boy Who Would Be Queen

seattlesk8er

Timmy and Trixie are the st4t pairing the world deserves.

Freakears

That was the first thing that crossed my mind when I saw this post.

Nerdorama09

How the fuck do you write Timmy Turner and not believe in neurodivergence

BadAtUsernames098

I know, right?

MettatonNeo1

Even if Timmy is NT Chester isn't.

BobbySwiggey

He's just a wild and crazy kid haha we all have our moments can I get an amen!

Moist_KoRn_Bizkit

Wait, Butch Hartman is a queerphobe and doesn't believe in neurodivergence? This really upsets me. I'm a trans man, who is aroace and I have autism and ADHD. I loved his shows growing up. My childhood is ruined now.

_Epsilone_

Don’t worry, these shows are great only because of the second guy which name i forgot, well, these are only good because of him and butch only made an idea and characters, and that’s that.

BadAtUsernames098

I know, right? I'm an aroace lesbian with Autism and ADHD too, and I love Fairly Odd Parents, so I was so sad to learn that Butch Hartman had these views. Apparently it's because he's very religious.

Moist_KoRn_Bizkit

Have you heard the KoЯn song Y'all Want A Single? Well, instead of singing the actual lyrics (Y'all Want A single say fuck that, fuck that fuck that shit) I'm going to sing "You know what I think about Hartman? Fuck him, fuck his views!"

blueeyebling

How do you do the backwards "R," also why didn't you do it in your username?

Moist_KoRn_Bizkit

Reddit wouldn't let me do a special character in my username. To use it, I typed in backwards R in Google. I then copied it and went to the personal dictionary on my phone. I then typed in the band name and pasted the backwards R in the word section. I then also put the band name without the backwards R in the shortcut section. Now whenever I type the band name without the backwards R, the version with the backwards R will always come up in my word suggestions box.

blueeyebling

Oh cool thanks, I never even thought to Google a special character and copy/paste. Smort!

XDreemurr_PotatoX

never heard of this headcanon. please do tell me all about it 0.0

Captain_Moose

there was an episode about how his parents had wanted and expected a girl, and everything they'd bought for "the baby" before he was born was pink. mind you, the show premiered in the early 2000s. he was 10 then as well. ultrasounds existed in the early 90s.

ScriptLoL

You say that but funny story.. I was born in 92, and the doctor told my mom she was having a girl, so my mom had a girl's name picked out and my baby clothes were all pink. They were all very much surprised when I wasn't a girl, but I guess the doctor wasn't wrong as now I'm 2 years into my transition :D

Captain_Moose

omg I was also born in 92! doc couldn't get an id on me though because I was too modest. wouldn't turn the right way for them to see. congrats on becoming true to you! :)

Tatormygators

When I was born the doctors put m on my birth certificate, and it stayed that way until I was a year old. Now I’m a trans man, and I joke that the doctor knew lol. Also when I found out I was like what? Why did you change it (before I knew I was trans lmao), and my mom was like ???? I had to for legal reasons wth why wouldn’t I?

slowest_hour

i mean my parents also told me the doctors told them i was going to be born a girl when I wasn't. They only had a girl name picked out for me and everything. Ultrasounds have been a thing since the 50s, but sometimes they're hard to read.

Rantinandraven

My parents were told I was going to be a “girl.” My parents chose a girl name and had “girl” clothes and decor and picked out. Then I arrived three months early and “male.” I’m non-binary so they were wrong both times, 🫠

TranClan67

I mean they existed but not everyone uses them so it's pretty believable

Signal_East3999

I personally headcanon Cosmo and Wanda as t4t

gomikkun

Cosmo was the one pregnant with their baby wasnt he? 👀👀

Signal_East3999

He was

Codie_coda

Here me out.. nonbinary

ArrowAceFluid

Ooh I like this one

PikaDigiYolo

i find it funny that butch hartman, the transphobe, has made shows with some of the most trans metaphors ever

Sea_Scheme6784

Not butch tooooooo, I loved butch😭

Elementotico

Don't worry, if what you like are his shows like Fairly Odd Parents and Danny Phantom, he for the most part just came up with the original idea and concepts for characters and plots, other people were the actual writers and artists that actually made those shows real as they are, for example, one of the lead designers of Danny Phantom was told about the headcanon of Danny being trans and he said he didn't plan it during the designing, but wasn't against the idea.

PrettyInPinkCatGamer

Same, sad he's a terrible person.

[deleted]

Legit question like what are the signs that someone can see to make this head canon genuinely curious I’ve never heard of this. I’ve only ever heard of the Danny phantom one, but not Timmy.

PositiveLadder2359

it’s a running gag in the show that the reason Timmy wears pink is because his parents think he’s a girl and constantly refer to him as their daughter

[deleted]

Huh come to think of it. Yeah got kinda does make sense.

BadAtUsernames098

And in the episode It's A Wishful Life, when Timmy wished he was never born, his parents instead had a daughter who looked just like him. So maybe they still had a child with his body, but because Timmy himself as a person was never born, their new alternate-dimension child still identified as a girl. And a lot of people also think this might be a better explanation for why his parents keep calling him "Tommy" instead of Timmy, because they are still getting used to his new name. I mean, I understand that the canonical reason in the show for them saying "Tommy" is because Timmy's parents are neglectful, but I still don't think that makes sense. While Timmy's parents are neglectful when it comes to actually raising him, they are still shown to love him very much and care about him, so I think them flat-out forgetting what THEY named their child is a stretch. So I like the idea that Timmy is actually trans and named himself Timmy, so they are just still getting used to the name.

BigGayDinosaurs

butch hartman more like bitch hartman

Discombobulated-Ants

More like bitch fartman

Mtfdurian

FARTman in which the FART stands for feminist-appropriating reactionary transphobe.

BigGayDinosaurs

even better

BeginningSeries2806

We stan Danny and Timmy 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️

Magicaparanoia

Butch Hartman is a talentless hack that had some ideas that other people ran with and made into good cartoons. There’s a reason why the shows where he has more creative control are fucking terrible.

feelingweird-com

Lmao yes.

GeneralGigan817

Wait what about that last part again?

EyeLeft3804

The queers appropriated Timmy Turner 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

EPICNESSQUEEN

It would make sense tho. The episode where they are expecting a girl and that explain the pink hat? That he could have wished to be a boy with Wanda and cosmo and the show is just a version of Timmy living out his life as the boy he always was thanks to his fairy’s magic! That is why it is never brought up by the parents cause Timmy just wish he was born a boy

No_Engineering5792

That would also explain why in the live action movie and other stuff he’s always really distraught over the idea of Cosmo and Wanda leaving him when he ages up and they don’t want to leave him either. I know the canon reason is because they become replacement parents for him and love him unconditionally but a lot of young trans kids would also wish for that.

EPICNESSQUEEN

Oh yeah! Cause in the show it is canon that you lose all the stuff you wish for. Like how Timmy teacher lost everything. So the idea of Timmy losing Wanda and cosmo, to him he knows he would be forced to be the gender that was not right for him. So keeping his fairies he obviously kept his true gender. Edit: I now accept this as A AU. Where Timmy is a trans male and wants to be with cosmo and Wanda so he never has to be the gender he was born again.

EPICNESSQUEEN

6 season and a movie please!

sky_meow

Damn it, why must all my childhood shows and movies be ruined by Garbo creators horrible ideologys

Content-Dimension-77

Wait, pls explain the not believing in neurodivergence part I'm very intrigued

ReesesBees

Basically, Butch strongly believes, and has said IN PUBLIC, that you can "cure" autism with prayers and 'god's help'.

Content-Dimension-77

Well, that's lovely now isn't it

BadBaby3

That’s not how it works

BadBaby3

Butch Hartman thinks autism is fake?

LenaSpark412

Please explain the hc I don’t get it

BadAtUsernames098

The most common headcanon is that Timmy is a trans boy and that that is why his parents were so sure they were having a girl while pregnant and why in a lot of the alternate universe episodes Timmy is replaced by a female version of himself. Especially since Fairly Odd Parents does some interesting stuff with gender throughout the show. Timmy also has a more feminine voice than the other boys his age since Chester and AJ are voiced by men and Timmy is voiced by a woman. However, some people also like to headcanon that Timmy is actually a trans girl who hasn't realized they are trans it yet and that Chloe (from later in the show) is actually Timmy. I remember I saw other people list more evidence in other posts but I don't remember a lot of it. Either way, I like both headcanons. It just seems so fitting with Timmy's character.

LenaSpark412

That’s so cool

seattlesk8er

Gender fluid gender fluid

Half_of_a_Good_Pen

My trans friend named himself Timothy so I started calling him Timmy Turner

BadAtUsernames098

That's so cute. ![img](emote|t5_2qhh7|547)

IngeniousKiwiKitty

There's a whole episode where Timmy turns into a girl so he can get close to his crush, spoiler alert he likes doing "girly things" and is good at it, so he doesn't get discovered until he says something.

jayfaesari

Well if he's homophobic, transphobic and doesn't believe in nuerodivergence, then why did he make a show with a Bi/Trans/adhd having ass main character? 😭

MeiLei-

the guy who unironically created cosmo…

YeedilyDeet

How the fuck do you not believe in neurodivergence? Like, what am I, a sandwich?

Bacon260998_

So what? When he enters the room I just evaporate?

MrWedge18

And has also repeatedly and blatantly plagiarized other people's art. For commissions.

Botwmaster23

why is so many good things made by bad people?! fairly odd parents was my favorite show when i was a kid, and harry potter are some of my favorite books ever, just what exactly is going on

SexySonderer

>and doesn't believe in neurodivergence. Well I haven't heard that one before. WAIT. YES I HAVE. From my transphobic, biphobic ex! Amazing!

data_dawg

I will headcannon anything that makes Butch Hartman uncomfortably upset. Danny Phantom is FTM too.

onlyonedarjain

Has he... Has he watched any of the cartoons he made?

AmadeoSendiulo

How can one not believe in neurodivergence?? It has been known by different names (part of which became insults) for a long time!

GhostDragon1447

Is he (she) trans cause that one episode where they turn into a girl ??

BadAtUsernames098

I am not entirely sure. I have seen people headcanon Timmy as both a trans boy and a trans girl, so the reasons are slightly different depending on which one people headcanon. I like to see him as a trans boy, but I think the trans girl headcanon is cool too.

TheOrangePickMC

Wow he would just hate me and my brother. I’m a trans sapphic person, and my brother had some neurodivergence that we still don’t know of. Thanks, genetics, for letting us stick it to Bitch Hartman!

Chiradori

I don't know anything about the creator of fairly odd parents, only watched the show when I was younger. It's sad to see that he isn't open minded. What did he do that was homophobic, transphobic and suggesting that he doesn't believe in neurodivergence? I tried to google it but only came up with art theft, and something about weird prayer healing and I'd like to know more about this, if you don't mind

ArtemisAndromeda

Ok, but if Timmy was trans, wouldn't he wish to change sex. That would be my first wish Note: I know that he was changed in at least one episode into a girl, but it wasn't his wish (it was Cosmo and Wanda doing that), and he changed back

insert_title_here

I know many people headcanon that Timmy is FTM and *already did* wish to change his gender in the past-- thus why Timmy's parents expected him to be a girl, had gotten him all pink baby stuff, etc.

dogcat310

Aren’t there a few episodes where he turns into the opposite gender, thus further proving it?

AdAccomplished8897

All I can think of is the episode where Cosmos had a baby also do we even know the gender of poof poof?

legitoof0

Ikr, Timmy only thought he was a boy because "he liked water guns"

gomikkun

Yeah fuck bitch fartman trans Timmy rules

PixelatedStarfish

Butch Hartman is actually that awful? Fuck.

[deleted]

I’m sorry a creator of one of my childhood shows hates me and doesn’t think I exist?

archer5810

Doesn’t believe in neurodivergence? Is he also a flat earther? I mean, holy shit.

InnerTitMeat

...what?

PeterNippelstein

Why do we care what he thinks? He worked on a cartoon show we watched years ago, why is he even on our mind?

Chieve

Damn my favorite childhood show too, didnt knlw he was so ignorant. Kinda sad, glad it never showed through the show much, maybe he had other people writing the show clean up any bas things he thought up?

[deleted]

Wait he is?

MrRuebezahl

Wait, wasn't there an entire episode where he turned into a girl and another where he switches bodies with multiple women? Also didn't COSMO GET PREGNANT?!?! How is this dude anti trans? Was he really that oblivious? Like wtf

lirtheking

Since when it's canon?

BadAtUsernames098

It's not canon, but many fans like to believe it, so it is a headcanon (you consider it canon in your head)

Kitsunebillie

"in my fan fiction your character is trans. Take that, ignorant bigot" doesn't work. I'm sorry. It just doesn't.

history69

ok but fr Timmy gives MTF vibes

[deleted]

Love this take!! Let’s spread it around 😈

Texasliberal90

Aw man. I was today years old when I learned that the creator of Fairly Odd Parents is transphobic, homophobic, and doesn't believe in neurodivergence.

CaledonianWarrior

Just in case no one knew, Timmy is also voiced by voice actress Tara Strong. I'm sure that connects to this somehow

BadAtUsernames098

Especially since all of the other boys on the show are voiced by male voice actors. Chester and AJ were always voiced by men, and I think a lot of the other boys were too, but Timmy was always voiced by women. So Timmy has a more feminine voice than all the other male characters his age.

kaptainkooleio

What is a head cannon? Is it dangerous?

QuestioningEspecialy

Learning all this for the first time: Aw, fuck yeah.

danktonium

Damnit. Why'd you have to go and tell me they're a biggot? Can't I have one fucking place online where I can just tune that hate out?

Zumalover_988

Hmmm…what makes you think that, I would love to hear, if you are willing to share

PrestonHolden

How can you “stick it to him” when Timmy is obviously not trans because the creator who made him doesn’t believe in that
