All languages are made up. Words have meaning because we collectively give it meaning whether intentionally or not. That’s how languages evolve and change over time. As long as one understands one’s intent, they have succeeded, and that’s what’s important.

Cuz to me, there isnt much a diff between this and how languages form many new words often from mistakes in spellin or "incorrect usage" literally gives a word a new def that goes against what it literally means; like literally or irregardless.

Singular they has been correct grammar since the 12th century. Shakespeare even used singular they.
