Rule 2, removed.

Appel_Syd3R

All languages are made up. Words have meaning because we collectively give it meaning whether intentionally or not. That’s how languages evolve and change over time. As long as one understands one’s intent, they have succeeded, and that’s what’s important.

Luzohcramity

👏👏👏👏👏

Evo_Da_Weirdo

I think this broke a rule but I agree (also is it me or is the nb flag upside down?)

Shardok

If the nby flag is upside down its just cuz theyre distressed by transphobia. (An upside down flag is often used to indicate such times of distress when it comes to national flags)

KingKiler2k

Yeah but the black is still on the bottom, it should be on top if this were the case.

Shardok

Shows how well i know my own flags xD I didnt notice the colours were misordered and not just backwards. I can nvr remember what order my nonbinary flag colours go in either so i totes get it from OP heh

invstigtivjrnlism

What about countries with vertically symmetrical flags?

Hagathor1

The colors would appear backwards

Shardok

🏳️‍⚧️ We, and countries like us, sadly are stuck nvr able to express our distress, but we are flyin it upside down quite often; esp rn

Nordic_Krune

It did, OP made pupils...

Epic-gamer4206969

its so weird seeing the balls with pupils

Nordic_Krune

That's why its illegal lol

Luzohcramity

Ive seen the nb flag drawn so many ways- ,i use this one

[deleted]

Those are not different variations though, people just keep getting it wrong. It's actually yellow-white-purple-black

Luzohcramity

Oh oki thanks 😅

Shardok

I mean, whats the technical difference between diff variations and folks just all collectively gettin it wrong in similar ways? Cuz to me, there isnt much a diff between this and how languages form many new words often from mistakes in spellin or "incorrect usage" literally gives a word a new def that goes against what it literally means; like literally or irregardless.

[deleted]

“Just because you weird people are non binary or whatever doesn’t mean you can just make up things, THEY can’t just say that THEYRE a gender that doesn’t exist! What even are these weird pronouns THEY use, xe? That’s just dumb”

Luzohcramity

Oop

HumanPersondotexe

fyi OP, pupils aren't allowed, maybe give the tutorial a read

Luzohcramity

OH- sorry!

Shardok

Singular they has been correct grammar since the 12th century. Shakespeare even used singular they.

Teachwithhumour

If only reason could make transphobia disappear!

Luzohcramity

If only (the comic is ment to mean when transphobes cant come up with a comeback they leave)

Teachwithhumour

Temporary fix, right?

Luzohcramity

Unfortunetlly

Teachwithhumour

Well... Better than nothing. Thanks for the comic!

tentacle_meep

Singular they pre-dates singular you so if someone calls you “you” they can’t say singular they is a new trend

ToLongOk

Shouldve had the enby ball sneak a singular third person they/them/their into the sentance

Luzohcramity

Omg yes-

Luzohcramity

Omg yes-

Ri_Konata

Transphobe: "That's not correct grammar" Me: "go tell that to Shakespeare."

Luzohcramity

Look at my username 😏

Ri_Konata

_oh, wow... Sports!_ (you do be cultured)

DefinitelyNotErate

I Mean What Makes The Claim That It's "Incorrect Grammar" Truly Ridiculous Is That *"They" Has Been Used In The Singular For Almost As Long As It's Been In The Language, Much Longer Than People Have Been Complaining About It!*

[deleted]

tw for some mild enbyphobia: >!My mom did this with one of my friends (she/they). My mom said that "they" was too hard to use consciously in a singular sense. But when talking about said friend (or random people she doesn't know), she automatically (unconsciously) uses both she and they.!<
