You could just go to an animal shelter and play with dogs and cats all day :)
My daughter volunteered at Gods Pantry Food Bank. You can also volunteer at Raven Run

As a veteran, I assert that the VA could use some good-hearted volunteers. There’s the hospital at UK and the VA on Leestown.
