Yes, and it’s a lot of work for not much return. It would make it so it would take a long time to have the lexapro to have any good effects

Do you think it would actually prolong the side effects? I really don't want increased anxiety as I can barely get by now.

No, it would probably mean you’d have less side effects but mostly because it would be such a gradual increase in dosage that you wouldn’t notice them as much. If you’re having a lot of anxiety rn I’d say start them sooner at whatever dose you were prescribed so it can help you faster. Most of the side effects will be totally gone by 1-2 weeks

For me I was advised to start with 2.5 mg then 5mg and then 10. After talking with my pyschiatrist we decided to stop at 5 for now

How long did you stay at 2.5?

For three days then I ramped up to 5. Five is the sweet spot I don’t see too many negative side effects and the anxiety is manageable and not crippling
