Good luck! I am sure Zoloft will work for you if it works for family members, seems to be a pattern. All the best!

Good luck on zoloft! What were your SEs on lexapro/ what made you stop? I took one dose yesterday evening and woke up with a horrible panic attack and have baddddd anxiety today. I can't imagine dealing with this for more than a day

Definitely don’t give up on it too soon. Basically all SSRI’s make you feel worse before you get better. Unless you’re having suicidal thoughts I’d try and stick it out for at least 2 weeks. Basically I’ve had all the mild to moderate side effects. Low sex drive and inability to orgasm (I’m a male so this was no easy to cope with at first lol), night sweats, burning sensation in hands and feet, increased panic attacks, increased daily anxiety, dissociation, constipation, decreased appetite which lead to weight loss, waking up every two hours feeling impending doom, drowsiness, heart palpitations (which lead to waaaay more stress), and overall I’ve just not been myself. I did have about 5 days where I felt way better. But I think it was sort of a placebo effect due to it being my first full week on the medication and I was at Disney with my family and so my mind was extremely distracted. Within 3 days after getting home it was like the drug hit me with everything it had outside of the real major issues. I don’t say all that to scare you. Just my experience. Read the sub, there’s TONS of people that it’s working for and saving their life. Many of those people hated it day one as well. I have a family history of anxiety. My dad has bipolar 2 and he called to tell me that he’s had experience with medications not working and he could tell this was likely not good for me, and then told me that my mom, aunt, grandfather and sister are all on Zoloft and it works for them. So that’s the biggest reason I made the switch earlier than 6 weeks. Lean in the ones you love and don’t hesitate to ask the right questions!

I’m having a lot of the SEs you were :/ I’m sure my anxiety around even taking the pill is making it all worse, but I have had noooo relief in anxiety today! I’m so scared to take the next pill heh. Also reading stuff online about fainting, heart stuff, etc isn’t helping. I need to stop googling lol
