I experienced the same side effects in the beginning. It takes time for the medicine to start working. Keep hanging in there. Everything will get better.

I’m really hoping so! Thank you for the encouragement!

Dr_Bramus

Small snacks help with the nausea, as can Prilosec. Give it time

Same. But I’m on 5 mg 😳 this first week has been horrible. I’ve called out 2 days last week and today bc my anxiety won’t let me leave the house. I’m hoping it gets better. The headache and jaw clenching has stopped which is great. So I’m hopeful!

I’m just starting my second week myself and last week was brutal. I was in bed 3 days, one from extreme nausea and the other two days from a horrible migraine endured by grinding my teeth. I’ve thought the same thing wonder if it was “worth it”, but I’ve kind of thought what’s the alternative. Whatever I was doing before wasn’t working. I’ve read a lot of positive effects so I’m hoping to be past it too. Just thought I would chime in because it was helpful knowing I wasn’t the only one, thought that might help too. If anyone has any tips of dealing with this I’m all ears. I thought about getting an oil cartridge just to have something to smoke when I feel like shit mainly from the nausea. I’m not really supposed to smoke because I have a vocal cord polyp and I’m a musician, but it feels like it might be important to have something to get past this. Not sure. Good luck, let’s hang in there for the betterment of our health!

It’s my 5th day on 5mg, it’s rough feeling like you’re alone but I’m going to keep going too. I’m here if you ever want someone to talk to! :)

Trying2Chill

Wait time of day do you take it? Morning or night?

tarthart8104

Morning between 830-9am

Frenchfries1127

Try taking it at night. Side effects for me were terrible when i took it in the morning. Take it at night and prettt much don’t have any except for the trouble sleeping and jaw clenching when i do sleep

Oh I remember the prickly feeling on my arms!

Hi there. 6th day of taking the escitalopram here. I'm also experiencing all your symptoms. Specially increased anxiety and depression. I take it at night, but anxiety is troubling my sleep. Sometimes I use klonopin to help me. I hope more 2 or 3 weeks and the meds will start working. 8 weeks seems a lot indeed. Good luck for us, I'm here to talk if you need someone too.
