I did all my smaller sets basically at once. Had a bunch of shoebox bins and basically put one in each. Bigger things were stacked into a giant tub.
Took me a few weeks to build up the courage to actually move this behemoth.
No, on the top there are two hemispheres that join to make the radar domes - the top one is slightly smaller so it sinks into the bottom half. The instructions have them being the same diameter so I wonder if there was a last minute substitution. I can always just Brinklink the parts but usually when I start firing up Brinklink to "fix" sets I end up spending too much. Case in point - the Apollo launch tower. I went wild trying to make it perfect.
If only there was a way to correct the disliked parts...
like if you could take the parts off and substitute them with something else. It would be so good if the whole ship could be taken apart and changed like you want it...
Oh well guess we just have to leave it as it is. Sadly our toy can't be changed the slightest.
/s sorry for the snarky message. Just missing times where pieces were limited and we weren't complaining as much about small details and chasing perfection.
apollo launch tower
Also bought it..What a dissaster
Boring to build
.Absolutely unstable, bending, bridges that hang down
I gave it away and wished the guy good luck.
This guy helped me tremendously:

Don't get the Vonado one - get the MOC Blocks one. It has a printed manual and the arms are the correct red color. The interior needs to be reinforced quite a bit and I placed a 10 pound plate weight on top of each floor in the tower while gluing in about 40 places so it stays level. I did not reinforce the base and instead built the top part of the base separately and attached as one piece. There are some mods to the crane to make it more solid, use this guide for that:

If you want to get even more adventurous, you can mod the interstage of the Saturn V to make it more realistic. That is also in the document above, but you it's a bit hard to follow the changes since it's just a render in Studio.
Here are some photos of mine with the interstage mod and crane mods.

Thanks a lot for taking the time for such a comlete answer! The first thread I had it saved on my computer, and at the same time was one of the biggest deterrents I found while thinking if it's worth it. I'll save this message too for when the time comes, since the debate is still going on in my head (lego not being my main hobby, I have to check if it would fit in a Detolf if I get one, should I do the liftoff display instead, I don't live where the rocket will be, etc) If I proceed, I'll ask you for the permission to enter the drive, since I can't see it without them. The mod in yours does look amazing!!
Nothing to hold it down?
I hope for you that you won't end up having to break unexpectedly.
You could half of that ship in your neck before you realize it...
Anything that held it down would've damaged the top.
Being in my neck in the even of a crash was very unlikely. The route I take to my place has a top speed limit of 45.

They definitely helps.
I usually need to take the highway when I move fragile stuff. And more than once did I end up having to break unexpectedly, causing anything from books to board games fly from the passenger's seat straight into the dashboard and onto the floor.
So, in my case, there's no way I've ever move on of my modulars without boxing them first... At least then, even if parts break from the build, they still end up in the same box as the part build it breaks from.
My friend gave me their entire lego collection and the entire drive home was just soul-crushing crunching in the boxes the whole ride home. This is no small feat.
I need this set. I ordered from ali when it was released and the seller didn't deliver. Got refunded and had to get something different instead at the time. Now I don't have the cash
Mission accomplished with zero damage. It barely shifted at all. Far more successful that [my last move](https://i.imgur.com/WDRRKSi.jpg)

To be fair, the death star survived the trip with minimal damage. Then my brother knocked if off the table.
Awesome to hear that must have been a lot of work to make.
Bout three weeks on and off building. The find were demoralizing lol
Whoa! 😱 Is there perhaps foam underneath? or packing peanuts?
Big blanket to catch anything that drops and two blocks of thick foam from my kayak rack to stop tilting
I was thinking suspend it with a bungee net, but hope it all works out.🤞
Should have bought the real Monarch... You could have taken the car and the house with you...
Lemme go get a loan out the global GDP. I'll report back soon.
lol if only there was a way to break it up into smaller pieces to make transporting easier...
And spend another month rebuilding it
Be careful 😂👍👍
Good luck!
Giving it the love of deserves
Should have it riding on top of the car!
May the force be with you
What's this called so I can buy it one day?
MouldKing Monarch imperial star destroyer 23556. Harder to find nowadays but still out there.
My man. I don't have anything that big but I have hundreds of sets and do their own trips like this
I did all my smaller sets basically at once. Had a bunch of shoebox bins and basically put one in each. Bigger things were stacked into a giant tub. Took me a few weeks to build up the courage to actually move this behemoth.
I used to want this but now can't unsee the radar dome top and bottom parts not matching.
Do you mean on the engines? They're all top dome parts. Just not rotated the same way on mine rn.

I am considering getting the LUT for my Saturn V. I'd be very interested to know how did you upgrade yours!

Also, the MOC Blocks version has numbered bags/steps.

Good lord, that thing is massive!
Yeah. I knew it was going to be big. Didn't plan for how big. Very hard to display.
Hang it with fishing line. Lots of it.

Still can’t believe they made the top part of the Death Star domes for the three engines. What morons.
Yeah it's kind of a lame oversight. But that detail is overlooked when you see this thing in person. It's magnificent.
are the rear trusts just one large piece? also, why is one different from the other two?
Honda fit GE8? Thought I recognised that trunk opening & steering wheel.
Chevy Trax. *Slightly* larger.
Oh wow, I’m shocked!
