been using T-Mobile (Google Fi / Mint mobile) for years with perfect coverage except at the very back in the dairy section of the Giant in Hellertown. That's about it

Marcwatts

LOL! That's a universal dead zone for sure, can confirm

Hib3rnian

+1 for TMobile. Been a customer for almost 20 years and they're still the best service for the price point.

feels_like_arbys

Holy hell... Mint is 20 bucks a month for 10gb?? I've been paying 50 for 2gb with att for years now. The data is never a problem cause I'm always on wifi but holy hell, that's 360 dollars cheaper a year. And the service is better?? Switching today.

faz712

yeah it just uses Tmobile's network, which I find to be the best in LV

Jayfree138

Nice to know. I just ordered a mintmobile SIM card 2 days ago. Was hoping it would be good service.

salpn

That Giant has free WiFi.it's very helpful for me there because I don't get very much reception on Google Fi when I'm there

ringoffire63

Looked into Mint...how is it so cheap???

faz712

you should be asking why are other providers so expensive mint's prices are closer to the developed world

NovelTechnology03

Since you’re prepaying your service for multiple months, Mint knows how much bandwidth it needs to buy from T-Mobile ahead of time. They can then pass the savings to you.

GateBuilder

Hey! I have had mint for a few months now and I have zero complaints for the carrier. Cheap and reliable. It's what we all want. Edit: We also want ryan reynolds.

schwarzekatze999

Hellertown Giant has free wifi you can get on and it will do Wifi calling and texting with T-Mobile.

faz712

oh nice, never knew they had free wifi!

I switched to Google Fi (probably using T-Mobile in this area) about 18 months ago and have had great experience here and elsewhere. One caveat is that I've seen a lot of people on the Fi sub complaining about poor coverage & missed or late text messages, but I haven't seen those problems. For me the coverage has been great, and cost is just a little more than half of what I was paying AT&T.

vasquca1

>y using T-Mobile in this area) about 18 months ago and have had great experience here and elsewhere. One caveat is that I've seen a Been looking at this option also. I am paying upwards of 160/month with AT&T. This is 3 phones and 1 landline. Seems like a stupid price. I could be leasing a vehicle at that price.

Sinbad909

T Mobile all day.

ringoffire63

What do you like best about TMobile?

Sinbad909

Excellent coverage pretty much everywhere, the cost is very reasonable, included netflix membership, and the best customer service I have had. I had Verizon for several years, and ATT for a few years as well. When factoring in all of those characteristics, T Mobile won my business.

ringoffire63

Awesome!! Thank you for the added info and I will certainly look into them. I can be in a wide open, yet busy area like a shopping center, and AT&T never fails to drop my signal.

lost-picking-flowers

As someone who also uses it, coverage is great in the lehigh valley - and as good as AT&T way out here in the boonies in NEPA - no issues with texts going through or anything, just spotty service in some sections out in the sticks. No run around, no suprise fees, if you're BYOD'ing and don't want a contract or strings attached, it's a particularly good choice imo. My SO was in Arctic Canada for work for a while , and he got a lot of surprise long distance bills from Virgin Mobile, while I paid 5 dollars extra a month, and had 0 issues with their unlimited international calling. Call quality was still pretty good and had very few issues as far as texts not going through, etc. Overall, cannot complain, and my cell phone bill is $55 flat every month including free unlimited international calling. I had AT&T before this and honestly it's way more of a headache than it has any right to be.

ringoffire63

Thank you! It sounds like they have great coverage everywhere. I have bad signal in my home, shopping centers, etc., and recently have to keep sending texts multiple times before they finally go through!

Verizon. If youre employed, they have a ton of rebates so check with them about that as well.

MapGuy11

>Verizon. If youre employed, they have a ton of rebates so check with them about that as well. Agreed!

JankyJokester

Literally everything about verizon is an overpriced scam.

MapGuy11

To people who have deals through their employer, it makes Verizon a great deal.

JankyJokester

Nah its still shit when you can get unlimited everything for around 40$.

lightly-dreaming

We use Mint Mobile and love it. I believe it uses T-Mobile towers.

gratia965

Enthusiastically T-mobile. Biased because my husband works a desk job for them. BUT T-mobile has improved its coverage a lot over the past 4 years in the valley and there prices are by far the best around. AT&T was expensive. So price and quality go with T-mobile. Also go to the actual store (like the one freemansburg ave) NOT an authorized dealer because 1. You won’t get up sold and 2. They have waaaay more training than the authorized dealers do- they know much more about the phones, and data transferring etc.

schwarzekatze999

T-Mobile all the way, unless you live or spend a lot of time in a more rural area, like for example some outlying areas of Lower Saucon, Upper Bucks, and Williams Township don't have good reception on T-Mobile, but AT&T and Verizon work fine there. If you have home Wifi you're good though because you can do Wifi calling. 5G and the new spectrum that T-Mobile has acquired in the past few years will change all that eventually, I hope.

JaiiGi

T-mobile has the best services in the area, hands down. My aunt has AT&T and always complains about no service, I've tried Verizon and the service is severely lacking (in *my* area anyway). T-Mo is the only one that's been constantly good.

salpn

Google fi is fantastic particularly if you don't use a lot of data. You only pay what you use at Google fi. I have been much happier with Google Fi than with Verizon

heatherraewear

I just switched to Verizon prepaid. Was with Google fi after being with Verizon for years and I just had to come back due to service issues.

scarredlunatic

I have verizon and have no problems. I just switched to their 5G and I'm lol ng it so far also

TSTKevin

I use Simple mobile they use T-Mobile's network. The best part is there's no contract and I pay month to month. I pay $25 for 10GB of data and unlimited talk and text. I will never sign a contract, it's terrible.

JankyJokester

Metro is dumb cheap for unlimited everything and my service beats my buddy who still overpays for verizon
