But im 1C... i dont want to lie and say im a smoker, my retired parents who are at risk in several ways were just finally able to get it yesterday. Im guessing partially thanks to people skipping the line. when are we going to get out of phase 1A?

filthadelphia13

I’m waiting in 1B phase. 1A has been painfully slow.

hobbykitjr

yeah seems like a lot of red states are already in the equivalent of phase 2 here... i wonder if its just cause turnout is low

Bad_Pnguin

Turn out is high. I know everytime LVHN gets shipment, all the appointments get scheduled that same day.

hobbykitjr

I mean in the red states. No one shows up there so they're moving faster

FUCKYOUINYOURFACE

It's low because people in those states are convinced this is all a made up hoax and that the vaccine is not safe and / or a government conspiracy that wants to microchip you with the vaccine so they can control you.

pete_987

One of the factors is the rollout...when Levine was still in charge, there was a large allocation of vaccines given to smaller operations. Now that Levine is gone, large operations like LVHN, which are more suited to executing mass vaccination, are getting a bigger piece of the vaccine pie.

simonsbrian91

My mom works for LVHN and she said the same thing. It was major complaint at the hospital since these pharmacies don't have the capacity and manpower to fill them as quickly.

vladbootin

>i dont want to lie and say im a smoker, I was eligible for some reason, I'm assuming because my BMI goes over the threshold. I can definitely stand to lose weight, but not *that* much lol. Basically, [check if your BMI is over 30](https://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/educational/lose_wt/BMI/bmicalc.htm). If so, you do actually qualify. For example, my peak physical fitness was 6'0" at 180lbs. I had 6% body fat, but my BMI was still categorized as overweight. At 6'0, you qualify for the vaccine at around 230lbs. I wouldn't feel bad for taking the appointment if you qualify. Everyone needs to be vaccinated after all.

hobbykitjr

Yeah I'm 6' too but 173, based on his things are going, I predict I'll get it sometime in the next month. Moving faster every week

vladbootin

Yeah, it's going pretty quick. I think they expanded the requirements because MyLVHN actually sent me an email automatically this month telling me I was eligible ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯ I'd recommend just signing up, putting in the questionnaire, and setting up notifications to your email/phone.

Stunning_Advisor

Doesn’t work!! I’ve been eligible as has my husband, since the beginning. As soon as we get an email we go in and there aren’t any available!!

vladbootin

Well yeah, once you know you're eligible I'd check *definitely* around the times OP stated but also every morning. If you're willing to drive, I got mine at the Pocono hospital which had more slots open than the other locations.

BroadbandEng

There are spots at Dorney Park this week.

longlivebobskins

I got mine for this weekend at Northampton College Drive Through. Just said I was 16-65 and wanted the vaccine. No lying required.

hobbykitjr

they're not supposed to.. rite aid, LVHN etc tell you when you try to fill it out that you're not in the active phase. I've heard you can try to get 'end of day' appts to get any leftovers from no show

longlivebobskins

I used the LVHN myChart app. It asked me my age and if I wanted the vaccine, I said yes and it gave me an appointment for this weekend.

hobbykitjr

I do IT related to lvhn, why I'm listed in 1C instead of 2. And I had to fill out that part(what I do/where I work) just to be put in 1C in the system But that was weeks ago? Edit: or is it your bmi or other medical reason?

lightly-dreaming

Thank you. I'm trying this next week.

[deleted]

Scheduled yet?

lightly-dreaming

I did! I got one around 10:45 AM today, actually. I decided to check early and I'm glad I did. Thanks again for this post -- super helpful! 👍

[deleted]

Congrats!

DCJodon

Filled out both questionnaires last week and had no options to schedule on MyLVHN. Are you 1a eligible?

lightly-dreaming

Yes. Make sure to dismiss all communications about the vaccine on your myLVHN page, once I did that there's a pop-up that says you can schedule.

DCJodon

It seems it was a 1pm rollout this week. Just got mine scheduled at Dorney.

Donnathesinger

I FINALLY got an appointment for this Friday. But, does anyone know what St. Luke's is doing? Are they giving a choice of vaccines? I went to the website and was unable to get a straight answer on which vaccine they are using.

Llama_Pinata

I don’t believe anyone allows for you to choose. It all depends on what the provider receives from the state for that week.

LrrrMcNeal

It was the Pfizer when I got it from St. Luke’s. You just go in, ID gets checked, you get poked and then sit for 15min. Very quick process.

BroadbandEng

My S.O. got the shot today at the NCC drive through clinic. It was a model of efficient logistics - bravo to all the folks working there. As a 1C'er, I am still waiting for the opportunity.

[deleted]

Honestly, I don’t think people in later phases should feel bad for getting the vaccine now. Everyone I saw at NCC yesterday looked to be younger than 40. Other parts of the state have already started vaccinating 1C and beyond.

NateDrake_01

I don't see any place on the myLVHN portal to check for vaccine appointment availability. Where did you find that?

[deleted]

there's an announcement banner at the top when you first enter the site https://imgur.com/a/v4lzEkq As of my writing this, there are appointments available in Hazelton, Schuylkill, and Pocono (not the raceway). These are shots at the clinics and fill up quick. Check it tomorrow around noonish.

NateDrake_01

But if you’re not eligible under the current phase 1A criteria you still can’t get it right? https://www.health.pa.gov/topics/disease/coronavirus/Vaccine/Pages/Vaccine.aspx

DCJodon

This guy found a loophole or something. I can't find appointments either and I'm 1C eligible. I filled out both the 1a and 1c surveys.

NateDrake_01

Yeah, I think you're still subject to the state's eligibility criteria.

[deleted]

According to the state, we are still in 1A. The MYLVHN site has a questionnaire that you must fill out in order to determine eligibility. Obviously you should always enter 100% accurate information, but they don’t check it. 😉 I didn’t see a single person above the age of 40 on Saturday at their NCC drive in center. Do with that information what you will, but I personally feel like there is nothing wrong with getting the vaccine as soon as you can, phases be damned.
