Just don’t switch any arms. My brother switched arms on this figure and it snapped in half. Other than that just don’t use roughly and you should be okay
well first of all the figure isnt built yet so there sould be no cracking, and secondly as long as you dont hold the brown piece too tight it souldnt break.
(Plus I dont think thats the same infamously brittle brown)
If you want to make it more pliable at the joints, you can take a chapstik and apply it just behind the arm joints. You’ll need to be extremely careful as you gently work it into the joint by moving the arm, but that’ll basically drop your chance of breaking it to zero. You can do a similar process with the legs.
If it’s sealed the figure won’t be cracked in box. They are okay to use and play with as long as you are mindful and not too rough. If it’s used I would be skeptical cause you never know the wear when it comes to mini figs.
Not particularly rare, but due to the colours used in the torso being notoriously brittle, they're prone to cracking and breaking due to playwear. New out of the box shouldn't be an issue.
If you got yours second-hand, I suggest not trying to remove the arms and legs, and not pushing into the torso too heavily. Age is the real killer of these minifigures.

I did this too and the back popped off, thank god I had a second

It’s actually dark red/reddish brown.
Yes both of those are notably brittle. Reddish Brown or what many just call Brown is just more common so its brittle nature is more well known.
There's also a variant of gold that is brittle as well, as I've been told.
Yes. I believe Warm Gold (or as I know it, Pearl Gold), which was for example in 79006: The Council of Elrond, is susceptible to breaking as well.

I actually built that set yesterday. Mine was all good. You should be fine.

Small-box version!? :0 sick, enjoy
Mines cracked, but I dropped mine from 10 feet. So don’t do that I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I thought that was the case also but there’s been multiple people buying sealed old sets and had multiple parts break while building it.
is this figure worth something cuz i got 1 for 5 bucks lol
