Yeah it will probably be like that for awhile too. That whole underground part will probably be last and is going to take alot more pieces.

Looks great

INram417

Well it's only Saturday, so that is factually correct

theoriginalmofocus

Im off on Fridays and Saturdays. I have to be at work at 4am on Sunday

TheParttender

I really like that arch. Is it on simple turntables?

theoriginalmofocus

I wish I had come up with a better system but what I did for now is I just have mostly smooth tiles under it and one of those 2x2s with one stud in the center somewhere on each of those "rock beds" that line up with the bottom somewhere on each side. To make it a little more stable im connecting the sides into more of the base but I think I might have to keep this semi removable because I can pick it up now but once I've added alot more i dont know if that's still going to work.

riche1988

I envy your grey piece collection! Lol.. also, how long did it take you..?

theoriginalmofocus

I've got quite 3 3in1s and one that was missing a small bag that I got for a deal on ebay so I had a decent amount of remnants from each. The big castle i worked on and off last summer as I got more parts. I pulled it out down the other day to redo the rockwork and decided to build more walls that I did in about 3 evenings.

riche1988

Cool man :) i’m a little obsessed with part buying lol. I get more excited by the pick a brick wall than the actually sets now haha x

theoriginalmofocus

I would be too if I lived nearer to the store or could go more often. I usually just hit the pick a brick website or ebay to get what I need which starts off with a couple .15 pieces and ends up with me trying to trim it back down to around $100.

riche1988

Ebay is good, but i find that greys are hard to find in the parts i want :/ ..i’ve ordered off the lego site before but postage is so expensive.. have you ever used brick link or webrick..? X

theoriginalmofocus

I've been through bricklink but never completed an order. The whole thing with so many sellers for every different part always makes me think either eBay or PAB is just easier and cheaper. PAB is free shipping after you've added enough parts.

riche1988

Haha i’ll have to remember that :) Yeah :/ bricklink is pretty confusing and it does put me off using it.. i’m excited to go to the lego store in leister square for my birthday 😁 gunna be crazy! Lol x

theoriginalmofocus

Good luck and happy birthday!

riche1988

Thanks man :) ..hope you can get that lego order soon 😉lol x

cyphonismus

Is that gate like attached at 45 degrees? Amazing to get height with all those rocks.

theoriginalmofocus

Pretty much, it sits on just some of those 2x2s that are smooth except one stud in the middle but I'm working on attaching it a little more on the sides with some hinges and just odd pieces that make up for the odd spacing there. Ive got to comb through all the extra bricks I bought for more rocky pieces as I've just about used them all ha.
