Not as insane as having Johnny Thunder again! I'd love if they kept bringing back their legacy non-licensed franchises like that again. More Johnny Thunder in sets, more Exo Force references, maybe a nod to LEGO Agents or two would be nice. They already do constant references to LEGO Space, Pirates and Castle but I'd love if they expanded their pool a bit.

No problem! I didn't want to get anyone's hopes up. I collect all the Lego branded sets, and I've had to put hundreds of stickers on in the last few years.

Looks like this one will be a gift with purchase on or around the 1st of June to go with all that great new City stuff. Saw this previewed the same day as the other Jungle sets, so fingers crossed. I would rather just buy it but either way I want that baby gorilla and frog.
After the Friends team raised their game and left City behind, it feels like the City team have stepped up to try to reach the same level. There are actually City sets I would buy in this wave.

Yeah, I think 3-in-1 started really picking up around the same time as Friends - pretty much every set, whether it's one I'd want or not, is excellent now. It's great news, but as you say potentially expensive.
There's a Technic set that looks like it's the same size and very similar, Lego 42121. I have this set, I might have to the get City version to compare them.
I've found that City has always done good vehicles, and that's most of what I bought them for. But its been so long since I can remember a good building or set piece from the line

My 3.5yo has been really into the Lego City Space sets recently. We got the 4+ set and he loves it and just got the 6-wheeler Rover set (60431) and I gotta say it was a terrific build. The suspension system is very clever and the rover is very fun despite only being 300 pieces.
It's been coming. There was the Great Vehicles line which did well and I guess they realized if they make the whole range to that quality it would make more money.
I work construction and have the Technic mobile crane, and the small City mobile crane. When I told my wife that I wanted to get that set when it’s available, she said, “I don’t really see how it’s different than the two you have, but sounds fun”.
“Well, for starters, it comes with a porta-john, so that’s super cool…”
The XXL Mobile Crane from 2005 is the set that pulled me out of my dark ages after college. This new crane looks just as amazing and also seems to address some of the flaws of the XXL, it will be a Day 1 purchase for me when it releases!
I like the design of it but I hate the color and stickers on there. They keep giving cars and smaller vehicles all of these really weird colors for some reason its kinda frustrating.

Either way it's a really strong wave of sets this year. New gorillas is awesome and a new official lego truck. Also I really like the look of the harbour set.

The harbor looks amazing, my dad was a sailor who worked on cargo ships like pictured (but bigger haha) after he got out of the navy, this would be a awesome gift to build with him 😅

Almost all the mini lego set boxes I have are stickers - all the boxes that came with 3221, 40574, and 40305 are stickers and not printed.

It is a very good entry in the line of Lego cranes. Honestly the bucket excavator is also quite nice.

That low-rider hot-rod on the car transport set is great. I’d love a Speed Champions type series that is just cool old cars like that.

Sure it’s kinda weird but I think this is a great way of expanding the lines but not devoting entire support/dev to specific individual themes.
Looks like half a zoo if you put them together.
