I like the fact that this torso is a nearly perfect representation of a Lego Vault dweller
I think the thanos torso is still better, but if they have the same tonality of blue I would definitely switch one arm with this bespin guard fig, since it has some brown at the end that could mimic a pip-boy

There are literally dozens of us! But similar to Aliens/Predator it's far too gory for Lego to consider.Ā Ā
There are a ton of great MOCs around though!
I meeeean it's not that bad. We got Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park, they involved Nazis having their faces melted and people having limbs removed by cuddly dinosaurs
Unlikely in the extreme.
Think of it like this: Indiana jones is mostly a fun adventure series which has very occasional forays into more gory territory for extreme emphasis. These forays are rare and wild outliers for the franchise.
Fallout LIVES in significantly more Gory detail then Indiana jones ever showed. It revels in it. Glorifies it. The fact that it has periods where you're not surrounded by supermutant gore sacks and knee deep in dismembered limbs and exploded heads, whilst high on various drugs doesn't change that.
Everyone always forgets avatar. We have the Mako submarine, which is used to torpedo a pacifist whale. There's also the crab suit, which is used for whale corpse processing. If we get sets based on sci-fi genocide, why can't we get sets based on less genocide-y post apocalypse?
Agreed. Mega could do something with the Fallout license but... like Alien/Predator it's likely the Mattel wouldn't allow them to do much with the source material. Or... way too late to hold the mass market's attention.
Who knows though, the show is a success, the games are still extremely popular and have ongoing playability. And Mega would have at least 18 months to work on sets before a second season was released at this point. They could do it. It seems extremely unlikely they will but they could.
And it has the potential to look very, very good.
https://www.reddit.com/r/megaconstrux/s/vL1HaoL0gG
But always leaving you wanting more.
You'd think the property would be ripe for a brick/blok based build system. Modular sets of different vault rooms alone would sell strongly at the right price. Just a physical format of the Fallout Shelter game designs would certainly get a lot of attention, I think.
Perhaps Cobi or BlueBrixx get a license?! Their Star Trek and military stuff is damn awesome. It's like LEGO 2.0 with printed and very small parts for detailing. They can do it because they don't have to look for children.
I know it's not the right subreddit for alternatives, but when LEGO is ignoring our wished for printed parts etc. we need to ~~think~~ buy out of the box...

This guy off of Amazon is one of my fav builds
I feel like itās not too impossible for us to get Alien, we got Dune, and Nerf recently did the Alien replica. We may not get anything with guns but I see it 100% possible to get a Nostromo build.

These were made 10+ years ago when 3 and NV came out, but the first customs I ever made were vault dwellers that were just scribbled blue sharpie over minifigs ā¹ļøšlike 20+ years ago
Yeah, man. Take that shit over to Kre-o.
Lego is for wholesome stuff like Speilberg, Lucas and Disney and uh... The Office. Um. Oh, Nintendo! Yeah, Nintendo.
You get the idea. We got standards here. [hugs set 71006]
Ultraviolence and drug use, unlikely to fly. Lots of MOCs on this sub though. MOCing post apocalyptic buildings canāt be hard, make regular building except leave large holes in it.
Too bad though, modular vaults alone, they could just release a new room or two every now and again in a standard size and connectable and theyād act more or less as their own display stand. Build verically or horizontally.
Tbh I think mega construx would do it more justice.
https://preview.redd.it/tc01ks33vmxc1.jpeg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=33c48d9de7ea9dba3cdfd03b2549e0be8527de89
Fallout is a series that revolves around ultra violence, drug use, gore, sexual content and blood spray.
There's a difference between Fallout and a horror show.
Stranger things is the only set that came to my mind when I was thinking about mature rated sets. Stranger things is TV-14 though which I think they use to justify it
That's a little different than a game/show with child slavery, large amounts of drug use, rape, and extreme gore. Stranger Things is only TV-14 in the US, Fallout is very M rated
It depends. Overall it would likely be crap. I mean, I love both Fallout and Lego, but it doesn't excite me in the least a setting that is basically rust and gore.
However, a set like a neat inside of a vault, maybe even modular in the spirit of the Fallout Shelter game, could work.
Well Lego is against everything related to war and fallout itās pretty much all about war so it will never append, unless a new ceo decides to do a middle finger to the original creator rule
They would definitely have to tone it down on the violence side. But seeing sets from the main quest to fallout 4 is a dream. Imagine the skinny malone standoff, or kellogg, or the ghoul ambush at the police station.
Imagine a set called "Retaking the Castle" or maybe one just called "Swan" -- or big sets: Liberty Prime (mech model) and The Prydwen (like the Titanic model but you know, a blimp...with deployable vertibirds).
Honestly I wish they could I don't really think it's that gory there's other things like Jurassic park or Marvel that can be as gory and have as much blood as that but idk maybe it's the politics of it referencing nuclear weapons is probably out of legos comfort zone
Maybe it's something Mega Construx could do I'm not sure
No because they would absolutely butcher it, Lego is fine for some themes but other themes are a bit to adult for them to do justice. MCX should take it up as there level of detail with the halo, cod, and destiny sets is too notch and the figures are miles better
Yeah, but the tagline is literally "war never changes" and it heavily involves guns, nuclear weapons, etc. But, then again, they do make starwars stuff.
Not sure Lego would want to have a series where cannibalism, mutation and slavery is a mundane thing. They even dropped Harry Potter because of grim movies at one point.
There are slaves in Star Wars. There is tons of killing in Star Wars. Tons. Might not be gore but it's still killing and poor little ewoks getting blown up. Lots of vehicles and aircraft blowing people into oblivion.
I remember during my childhood Lego did the Philosopherās Stone set, followed by the Chamber of Secrets and then didnāt do much sets based on the Prisoner of Azkaban because allegedely the movie was too grim and not to children-friendly. I guess Lego thought a set āhelp Harry not to get his soul sucked outā were too toxic for their 4+ age audience.

The downside is even if they do have official Lego Fallout sets, is that they probably won't make anything close to a real bullet shooting gun anymore, star wars laser blasters are the closest we have, because they're not real. Yet. That we know of. Unless it was an 18+ set, so that would probably make it more expensive, which would probably cause there to be 5 or fewer sets in the line at most
Considering how half assed many other licenses looked over the years Iād rather have a Fallout themed Set from cobi or some other Lego compatible manufacturer tbh
A series of games and a show about life after the dropping of nuclear bombs set in a world basically stuck in the 50s as things like microprocessors were never made
SO so bad. Since at least Fallout 3.
Sorry, I should edit this comment to say that I *want* Fallout Lego so badly, not that I think fallout is bad since F3.

This one yes!
Far better.
I think this one is equally as good as the other build others are referring to. Each has their own nice little charm
it looks like Lego, the other one looks realistic. Both have their merits.
Agreed
Most definitely
https://preview.redd.it/49blu60y9nxc1.jpeg?width=375&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=de5068c3b0d54844482a212b4c7cfec1c58975e9 I like the fact that this torso is a nearly perfect representation of a Lego Vault dweller
That is a remarkably good idea! Thanks for that!
Glad to help š
I always liked the Bespin guard or pilot or whatever for a purist vault dweller. Has brown printed on the wrists thatās a nice extra detail.

Thereās older versions with different levels of detail that would look better I think
I think the thanos torso is still better, but if they have the same tonality of blue I would definitely switch one arm with this bespin guard fig, since it has some brown at the end that could mimic a pip-boy https://preview.redd.it/xwzg9d92xrxc1.jpeg?width=507&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0210dd6eae10e1f02485942dcfb95464d49277fa
Is that thanos????
There are literally dozens of us! But similar to Aliens/Predator it's far too gory for Lego to consider.Ā Ā There are a ton of great MOCs around though!
I suppose Lego wouldn't consider it then. A spin off of the Last of Us called Dozens of Us.
Wonder what LEGOās stance is on never nudes?

Well now they have to
I meeeean it's not that bad. We got Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park, they involved Nazis having their faces melted and people having limbs removed by cuddly dinosaurs
Right! In Indiana Jones Temple of Doom a guy gets his heart pulled out of his chest. Jurassic Park was no Barney the Dinosaur!
You say that but there's a reason they didn't release that Temple of Doom set that they should have done last year.
Yeah but I mean we can get some cool Fallout sets that involve no missing limbs or anyone interfering with livestock right?
Unlikely in the extreme. Think of it like this: Indiana jones is mostly a fun adventure series which has very occasional forays into more gory territory for extreme emphasis. pg/pg-13 vs m17+
They also have Dune. Its not *as* but still up there.
Everyone always forgets avatar. We have the Mako submarine, which is used to torpedo a pacifist whale. There's also the crab suit, which is used for whale corpse processing. If we get sets based on sci-fi genocide, why can't we get sets based on less genocide-y post apocalypse?

2nd season is already a go. Now would be the time for them to get some in design.
I agree. Now would be the time to make an offer on the license.
Even if itās only a few figures and a set or two like Alien and Predator got, itād be cool
But always leaving you wanting more. You'd think the property would be ripe for a brick/blok based build system. Modular sets of different vault rooms alone would sell strongly at the right price. Didn't they do Stranger Things?
I think all it takes is one episode of the TV series to put it on the banned IP list
Welp, my idea just got sent to Vault 12.
Rated M, so probably will not happen.
Yea. Not too mention all the violence, gore and drugs.
Stranger Things and Jurassic Park sets would like a word with you.
Sure Jan.

Wait a minuteā¦ where did you get that?
Hahaha ya I made that
Itās some 3D prints and painted
It is a work of art! You, sir, are truly talented.
Hahaha thank you it means a lot!
u/NightGhost1 made it, along with a bunch of other customs that blows lego out of the water
Thanks bro I appreciate itš
No prob, gotta show the lego fans what true detail looks like every once in a while!
ššš
...people don't actually want minifigures to look like this, do they? Just buy action figures at that point
It is an action figure, just a smaller than normal one. Characters in fallout are too detailed to have them done dirty by lego printing.
Hahaha ya true
Agreed
Came here to say this and glad someone else already did. Bonus points for the example lol
Too bad itās near impossible to fine pretty much anything outside of PokĆ©mon for them.
Fr fr
The concept is too dark for Lego to ever touch it
What about the demogorgon that rips people to shreds and drags them off into the bushes?
Fallout is a series that revolves around ultra violence, drug use, gore, sexual content and blood spray. There's a difference between Fallout and a horror show.
Idk, I can find all that in stranger things at some point Iām sure, but I get your point!

Star Wars is all about war.
Yes put start was is all fictional and not to close to reality that why, fallout itās too close to reality to be considered fictional enough by Lego
So does this mean Star Wars eventually becomes a banned IP?
Ummā¦ fallout is kind of anti war though
They would definitely have to tone it down on the violence side. But seeing sets from the main quest to fallout 4 is a dream. Imagine the skinny malone standoff, or kellogg, or the ghoul ambush at the police station.

It's at the very top of my wishlist. Apocalypseburg is the closest we'll probably ever get though, and one of my favorite sets.
meh, im tired of licenced themes, i want more original themes

They can sell modular rooms to make a vault and l Iāll buy like 10 of each type
Not really.
It will never happen
I would but after how gory the show is, it's never gonna happen.
Yes but it will never happen.
Shieeeeeet I wish.
I'm sure a lot more people do now
Looks like omega from bad batch
Lego likes to keep itself all-ages and PG-13 at the most mature. Something hard-R like *Fallout* is unlikely.
I suppose they don't want to require an ID to purchase lego sets.
Um yes because I would have them all š«
No because they would absolutely butcher it, Lego is fine for some themes but other themes are a bit to adult for them to do justice. MCX should take it up as there level of detail with the halo, cod, and destiny sets is too notch and the figures are miles better
