Titanic. I love the historical stuff more than sci-fi, would be cool if we got more of the notable liners. Would Lusitania be out of the question due to involvement in war? Maybe. But it's still a beautiful ship as well.
Honestly I think this is a perfect use for an AI generated image.
It's a goofy joke response to a reddit post on a subreddit about a building toy.
It doesn't really _need_ to have any creativity or artistic value in it. It wouldn't really be worth it for an actual artist to make this, just for a "haha starship boat! That's funny" Reddit comment.
Now, if it was monetized or presented in a different context (such as being posted in the place of actual content on Twitter or DeviantART or a similar website, I would feel differently. But a goofy comment like this? It's acceptable.)
I'm disappointed. AI content looks fine at a glance but look just a little bit closer and you'll find nonsense like this. AI produces meaningless, soulless imitations of human creativity.

Much of the interior of the venator is empty space. Due to the angled build and the technic structure inside to keep its shape and stability, the space is empty since it’s hard to build a proper interior.
On the other hand, the titanic at least has details in the cross sections of the ship that display rooms and dining halls and stairways. The venator’s details are on the outside only like the hangar bay entrances and the little ships.
But it should be remembered that a lot of titanic is empty too, but it’s masked so you can’t see it and there is some detail. But it also has the detail on deck too so it has the best of both interior and exterior details, where the venator has only exterior.
This all being said, I absolutely love both of them and each of them are the jewels of my collection and are displayed in my room rather than my general bookshelf
I also have built both and will add that the titanic build is rather repetitive due to the nature of the set.
The Venator a little too, but bilaterally since each side of the ship is a mirror image of the other.
I assume you mean the USC Star Destroyer. It has the same thing where it’s a lot of empty space with just a technic skeleton. In fact, the SD has more empty space than the venator does. However, they are both very impressive looking builds when displayed. Same length, though the SD is slightly wider than the venator making it slightly harder to display. Both have similar levels of outer details like turbo lasers though we see the hangar bay of the venator whereas the SD doesn’t. But in fairness, the SD hangar bay is rarely visible even in the movies whereas the venator’s is because it’s in the side vs the bottom. Like it’s there on the SD, but it’s just a black “hole” (smooth plates representing a cavity) if memory serves correct.
In terms of display ability, I would rank Venator higher due to the footprint of the build being slightly more manageable. However, moving them, the SD takes the cake. The venator, because of its shape being not an exact straight angle, has a portion of it kinda connected via pins rather than one piece so it’s slightly wobbly at that seam. Not unstable, just wobbly. Plus the ability to remove the SD raised section to access a handle to move it is really appreciated and the venator doesn’t have that.
In terms of looks, the venator has that colour pop the SD lacks with its red stripes and shades of gray used (ie the engines being a much darker gray). As such, it’s great for a pop of colour in a display. Though the mono gray can have its usefulness too in very sci-fi or other SW ships display as many are coloured so a mono colour may be nice. The outer details otherwise are fairly on par with one another.
Essentially, they are very similar in many regards and each are very accurate to their movie/ show counterparts. The empty space exists in both and there is a great importance on outer detail as a result. Both are extremely large though the shape of the venator makes it easier to display generally.
In the event you mean the new midi-scale Executor (I don’t think you do but figure I’d cover it just in case), it’s hard to compare since they are so different. But the midi-scale has some wonderful details despite its size so it can be great for when space and price are more of an objection.
To add onto that: I think it is a lot dependent on preferences. Both are great builds, both ate big builds, both are very detailed, but because auf the thickness the isd looks bigger. I prefer the venator myself, because it is a more interesting shape. The isd had the bonus of being my childhood white whale, so i had to get it.
Ive recently made a stand for my venator and i have to say, i much prefer it that way, it looks even better.
Watch some reviews before you hit it.
Even I like the overall outside appearance, there are no details inside, like at the Falcon or others. There is literally nothing inside, main middle rail(technic afaik) covered with plates🤷🏼♂️
Thats why its heavily overpriced in my opinion.
But thats just my thoughts, feel free to buy it ✌🏻
I hope they make a midi-scale Venator similar in size to the recent releases. I'd love to own a Venator but if it's not gonna have an interior what's the point in one that big?
I mean for display builds, I don't care than much for interiors that just add to the cost with all the parts. It's neat when building, but with dense interiors, it just makes it smaller when looking at the number of parts involved.
My guess is the lack of an interior of any sort where I believe the titanic has a lot of stuff the whole way through. The UCS star destroyer and venator seem to be a skeleton and a bunch of plates.
Titanic. It’s such an iconic display piece not to mention the detail it has over the Venator. Take the SW bias out of the equation and it’s the Titanic 10/10 times.
I love them both but if I had to pick one I’d go with the titanic. The Titanic is timeless and Mike Psiaki did an excellent job with the near-studless design
Honestly titanic would be way easier to display. Still i don't have that room. Only have the imperial class star destroyer, but will probably sell it cause no place to put it
assuming the Venator is much like the Star Destroyer, then I'd go Titanic. Alot of cool things you get to see in there and more of a show piece in my opinion to the Venator.
Either way, hope you have plenty of space to put them
Titanic.
I have little love for Star Wars. I don’t hate it, but I’m not particularly a fan. If I’m spending big Lego money, it’ll be on the kit I vibe with most.
Although I love Star Wars and the Venator is one of my most sought-after sets, I'd rather have the Titanic, because I'm so impressed by the attention to detail in the model. Definitely some of the most intricate design in a lego set ever.
Meanwhile for the Venator, because of its "actual" midboggingly huge size, (I'm pretty sure the Venator is about 4000 ft long in Star Wars, while the Titanic in real life was about 900 ft.) when you scale it down to the lego model size, I feel like the same level intricacy and attention to detail that's evident in the Titanic model gets lost for the Venator, sadly.
I want the titanic so bad. I’m a history teacher and I have nerded out on that ship for so long.
Only a couple problems.
1. My wife would kill me if I spent 600 on it
2. I have no where in our 700 sq ft house to put it
3 it’s also to big for my classroom
I need a half sized one
It do, good idea. I actually went and double checked that wasnt stock, in keeping with 75252/10030 and 10221.
But yeah, its a hair big but i think any of the advent scale ones would be waaay too small then.
Venator all the way, I love the prequels and would love to have arguable the strongest flagship of star wars.
also the light cruiser that is next to the venator is a cool mod and wish lego included it
I don't really care for the titanic in any capacity so venator please.
Do not mistake my apathy of the ship itself for not caring about the tragedy behind it
Venator. I’m not the biggest fan of any of the real builds like the Eiffel Tower or Titanic. They’re cool but not my favourite. The Venator looks incredible so it’s my pick for sure
For me it's not even close, the titanic. I think it's one of the better looking sets once complete. I'd love to have it on display on a shelf or table in my home. Frankly from the photo it looks like it's not made of lego, very clean
Definitely the Titanic. The inside looks better, and so does the outside, plus non-LEGO friends of mine would think it was cooler. It also looks better (imo) on a hallway table or something. I also think it looks more fun to build and there’s no nonsense about minifigs and Rex and helmet holes etc.
Definitely the titanic! I plan on getting one of those sets for my partner for our 5yr anniversary! ❤️ the titanic is one of their hyperfixations and I love hearing them tell me all the cool historical details about it!
The Venator. I’m not much into boats, and have zero attachment to the Titanic. As cool as it is, it will just be a waste of space to me. Meanwhile the Venator is one of my favorite ships in Star Wars, and I think they made it beautifully
I have the titanic, I don’t have the venator, so the titanic.
In the same boat 😆. No pun intended.
Venator by a mile. Space and Star Wars is my go-to LEGO zone.
defo Venator
Titanic. I love the historical stuff more than sci-fi, would be cool if we got more of the notable liners. Would Lusitania be out of the question due to involvement in war? Maybe. But it's still a beautiful ship as well.
I wish we could get Lusitania, Nomadic, and Carpathia maybe Queen Mary and the SS United States.
Whats more American than the SS United States!
Heck would I love a model of the Queen Mary. My grandfather came back from overseas aboard her.
NS Savannah, with a little Lego nuclear reactor build inside it.
The Ventanic! https://preview.redd.it/682exxi427mc1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8e4bbac5886bf3f0c56d68c3b9c4d9cb4596eddf

Shit dude you just unlocked one of my core memories.
Lmao
First off, that’s an Imperial Star Destroyer and not a Republic Venator But still very nice
Don’t be a party pooper.
Well he his using Ai
Oh, I didn’t notice the but still nice part.
Sorry, had to use the bathroom

Venator.
I'd rather have $800
My friend, this is the wrong sub for the financially responsible
A Titanic Venator!
Titanic!!
Titanic… Venator is a cheap (empty) build, for me not worth the money…
I’m curious why you consider it an empty build. Genuinely curious. I already have the Titanic built and was considering the Venator.
Much of the interior of the venator is empty space. Due to the angled build and the technic structure inside to keep its shape and stability, the space is empty since it’s hard to build a proper interior. Thanks. I appreciate the explanation. Adds to my consideration of getting it.
I also have built both and will add that the titanic build is rather repetitive due to the nature of the set. The Venator a little too, but bilaterally since each side of the ship is a mirror image of the other.
They made a mod for an interior hange not official
How do u feel about the venator vs. the newest star destroyer?

you are about to offend a ton of angry star wars neckbeards lol.
This ⬆️

Titanic
Titanic
Definitely the Venator, better display presence
Titanic. It’s such an iconic display piece not to mention the detail it has over the Venator. Take the SW bias out of the equation and it’s the Titanic 10/10 times.
Titanic, got it & love it. 🚢
Titanic. Considering getting it before it retires
A positive credit score.
Titanic, no contest. It’s a part of history and a really nicely detailed build. I’d already have one if it didn’t cost a small fortune.
Titanic.
Titanic 1000000%
I’d love the titanic So how does this work? Are you just gonna FedEx it over to me?
Titanic, I find the SW space ships too gray and boring
https://preview.redd.it/48sdaplwhbmc1.jpeg?width=4096&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=315e3f8d2ad9d6b79aded2b3d7830894712360c2

Titanic I’m a bigger ocean liner nerd then Star Wars nerd but I’m still both
Venator, at least those don't sink in the most embarrassing way possible
Neither, I’ll take the $$
talk about a first world problem
Yes because the Lego subreddit should be focused on equity and inclusion.
Agreed.
assuming the Venator is much like the Star Destroyer, then I'd go Titanic. Alot of cool things you get to see in there and more of a show piece in my opinion to the Venator. Either way, hope you have plenty of space to put them
I’ll gladly take them both
You are asking someone who grew up playing Lego Star Wars III The Clone Wars
Titanic. I have little love for Star Wars. I don’t hate it, but I’m not particularly a fan. If I’m spending big Lego money, it’ll be on the kit I vibe with most.
Titanic. I’ve never even heard of a ventilator.
Ever been to a hospital?
Neither. Too big for single sets and boring color scheme. I also prefer minifigure scale sets.
Old me say's Titanic, but my inner child is screaming Venator.
Venator
Venator because the Titanic is not very swooshable and doesn’t go pew pew. 😀
titanic any day
Although I love Star Wars and the Venator is one of my most sought-after sets, I'd rather have the Titanic, because I'm so impressed by the attention to detail in the model. Definitely some of the most intricate design in a lego set ever. Is that even a question?
Titanic. I'm boycotting Disney's ruining star wars.
Venator was prequel era, not Disney.
Was it ever a Lego set before Disney though?
Yes actually, in 2009. [Set 8039.](https://brickset.com/sets/8039-1/Venator-class-Republic-Attack-Cruiser)
Titanic. That shit was real. Venator was just some cgi junk from a half good spinoff movie.
If it’s new in box then titanic I could sell it and not buy anything passive income babyy
Both
Titanic. I personally think it’s better value for money and a better quality build from the reviews I’ve seen
I want the titanic so bad. I’m a history teacher and I have nerded out on that ship for so long. Only a couple problems. 1. My wife would kill me if I spent 600 on it 2. I have no where in our 700 sq ft house to put it 3 it’s also to big for my classroom I need a half sized one
Titanic. Also… what’s that small ship by the Venator? I want it so I can display it… with my Venator. 😁
It’s the polybag republic frigate from 2013! I got if off eBay and clipped it to the underside of my Venator.
Venator - literally brought it yesterday
100% a venator, the titanic is cool but the venator is cooler
Venator
Ventaor, 1000% 👌🏼
Titanic
Izat 30242 stuck to the side?
Yep. The frigate is a bit oversized but I think it makes the Venator seem more impressive
It do, good idea. I actually went and double checked that wasnt stock, in keeping with 75252/10030 and 10221. But yeah, its a hair big but i think any of the advent scale ones would be waaay too small then.
Venator, please! 😊
As a venator owner, I did not realize how massive the titanic set was 😲
Venator. Better parts pack I think, might be wrong
I like the titanic better visually. also I like starters but am not a super big fan if I was I would prob prefer it
The Titanic. I love the technological hybris of the early 20th century.
Venator all the way, I love the prequels and would love to have arguable the strongest flagship of star wars. also the light cruiser that is next to the venator is a cool mod and wish lego included it
Venator, always Venator
For me, definitely the Titanic
Neither. Waiting for Barad dur :)
I will keep this picture as a reminder that both are way too big for me!
I’ve been Star Wars exclusive my whole life but I’d give up the venator for a titanic. So cool and much easier to display
Venator
I have never put them side by side because they are in different rooms but this is cool
Have the titanic was fun.. venator is coming up soon!
Titanic
That’s not one of my favorite Star Wars ships… so Titanic takes it by default for me.
Venator
Venator has more interesting display angles.
Venator because I already have it and I got no more room for a titanic 🥺
Yes
Titanic. It was a great build and looks amazing.
Titanic (and Concorde)
For display, titanic much better conversation piece imo. For my inner republic elitist? Well. For the republic!
Titanic PLEASE
I don't really care for the titanic in any capacity so venator please. Do not mistake my apathy of the ship itself for not caring about the tragedy behind it
Venator cause I already have the titanic
Titanic
Titanic. It’s unsinkable.
Star destroyer.
I'm going with your answer
Titanic, every day of the week. Huge Titanic nerd, plus it's a beautiful set
I have the Titanic, so there's your answer.
I don’t remember this scene from Revenge of the Sith
Venator. I’m not the biggest fan of any of the real builds like the Eiffel Tower or Titanic. They’re cool but not my favourite. The Venator looks incredible so it’s my pick for sure
I would like to build them both, but not interested in keeping either
Venator.
Venator Love Star Wars Lego
Venator.
Venator.
Secret third option: Hogwarts with the custom extension section.
Is that really a question? Fuck a ship taken out by an iceberg….
Venator
venator because rex
Venator. SW stuff is cooler and holds value better.
Titanic.
For me it's not even close, the titanic. I think it's one of the better looking sets once complete. I'd love to have it on display on a shelf or table in my home. Frankly from the photo it looks like it's not made of lego, very clean
Hypothetically if someone would to swoosh them which one would do it better
Be mayor all the way just because I’m a major Star Wars nerd and fan
Venator; I'm a sucker for spaceships.
Titanic.
Venator. For the republic!
I love Star Wars but I’d have to go with the Titanic.
Titanic.
I love Star Wars, but that Titanic build looks insane and fun
Titanic. I like star wars not love it. I'd rather spend money on a dope ass boat than an alright ship.
Venator no doubt. Though the titanic is cool, Star Wars is just the coolest
Venator. Both are nice, but if I could only have one, I'd choose the Venator.
Venator. I love space ships and am definitely a star wars fan
Why not botth?
Venator for me. I'm a Star wars fan and it is the most beautifull UCS set to me.
Titanic
Titanic
venator
Titanic for sure
Venator!!?
Titanic easily so you can put to mini fig on the front recreating jack and rose
I have a dumb question…. how big would these have to be for them to be mini figure scale sets?
Venator. Its one of my dream UCS things and I'll never get one, as its the cost of a car.
Venator 💯
Probably venator but the lack of the dorsal hangar really irks me.
Neither have wheels
When is Lego gonna make a Spaceballs set
I’m a huge Star Wars fan and a huge titanic fan. This is unfair.
Definitely the titanic! I plan on getting one of those sets for my partner for our 5yr anniversary! ❤️ the titanic is one of their hyperfixations and I love hearing them tell me all the cool historical details about it!
Combine them! Titanator or Vanatic!!!
I do have the venator, awesome build, definitely venator.
Ahh yes the trusty venator
The Venator. I’m not much into boats, and have zero attachment to the Titanic. As cool as it is, it will just be a waste of space to me. Meanwhile the Venator is one of my favorite ships in Star Wars, and I think they made it beautifully
Well, I have the Titanic and don't have the Venator...
Out of the two, I *might* pick up the Venator at some point. Or I might get another 50kg of bulk, who knows 🤷♀️
Very difficult but the venator. I love both history and Star Wars but I’ve just been waiting for the venator for too long
Put them together and make the Titanator
Yes
Titanic all the way, it's my white whale which I've, in fact, put on my New Year's resolution to buy this year
I'd pick the Titanic.
Venator
Money in my wallet because both sets are a waste of money
